Grape • Dreaming of black grapes: Flogging or lashes as much as there were seeds in the grapes.
• Picking a bunch of black grapes from a tree: Wife will give birth to a boy fathered by a black bondsman.
• Picking a bunch of grapes: The dreamer will take his wife’s savings.
• Pressing grape to obtain juice and turning the latter into wine: The dreamer will win the favours of the chief, along with unblessed money, in view of the story of the Prophet Yusuf as related in the Holy Quran: “And two young men went to prison with him. One of them said: I dreamed that I was pressing wine. The other said: I dreamed that I was carrying upon my head bread whereof the birds were eating. Announce unto us the interpretation, for we see thee of those good [at interpretation]. He said: The food which ye are given [daily] shall not come unto you but I shall tell you the interpretation ere it cometh unto you. This is of that which my Lord hath taught me … O my fellow-prisoners! As for one of you, he will pour out wine for his lord to drink; and as for the other, he will be crucified so that the birds will eat from his head. Incident - Soaking in the Rain for One Full Day and Night A person said to Imaam Jafar (RA) that he dreamed that he was soaking in the rain for one full day and night. Bat A bat in one's dream also represents a witch, or an unjust person who may have suffered from deprivation in his childhood. A bat in a dream also signifies blindness, heedlessness, a child of adultery, or a bastard son. Table The dining table or the table spread symbolizes an honest and generous man, religion, and the dreamer’s wife. One day a man dreamed that every time he stretched his hand to take some food from the table, a dog snatched it from him and ate it. Incident - A barber shaving off Beard and Moustache They began interrogating me about something that I had never done. After some days I was brought before the Qaadhi to face the charges brought against me. I was found guilty and awarded the penalty for theft. “I became popular in the whole of Baghdaad as an accomplice of thieves. But Allah's bounties know no bounds. A few days before my hand was to be amputated, a son was born to the Khaleefah. In jubilation, he decided to released all prisoners amongst whom I was one. Clothes A man told Ibn Siren, “I dreamed that I bought an ornamented cloth of the best silk, which was folded up. When I unfolded and hung it, I found it rotten in the middle.” “Did you buy an Andalusian slave?” asked Ibn Siren. “Yes,” said the man. “Did you have sex with her?” “No,” said the man, “for I have not yet checked her.” “Don’t bother to do so, because her genitals are stinking.” And so it was when the man had his new slave checked by his women.

Cat A cat in a dream represents a book of records, one's share from a business, an inheritance, or his work. A cat in a dream also means shunning off one's husband, wife or children, or it could mean a fight, theft, adultery, disloyalty, eavesdropping, backbiting or bearing a child from adultery, a bastard child, or it could represent a gentle speaking person, a toadying person or someone who desires to be accepted by others, and should he find an opportune moment, he will spoil everyone's peace. Jinn (Sing. Jinni) A creation from a smokeless fire. Among the Jinn, some are believers while others are satans. This is in contrast to human beings who are created from earth and among them some are believers and others are human satans. Jinn in a dream represent fraud, deceit, cunning, perfidy, treachery, theft, alcoholism, invented religious practices, travels, music, bars, tricks, sleight of hand, illusion, sorcery and magic. Firewood Firewood in a dream means slander and backbiting. If one puts two or three logs to burn in the fire in a dream, it means that an argument will take place or that an exchange of rough words will grow beyond one's control. Nabeq Tree In any case, it symbolizes plenty of money, gold or silver but not coins. Some ancient interpreters said that it represented money that would come from or be earned in Iraq. Dreaming of the ruler eating nabeq means more power and influence. A woman once dreamed that a nabeq tree had fallen in her house and that she filled two baskets with its fruit. Bean Beans, lentils and the like, be they cooked or fried, mean sorrow for whoever obtains or eats them, wet or dry. However, plenty of them symbolizes money. Some say that green beans are worries and dry ones money and joy. Lentils are dirty money. A man told Ibn Siren he dreamed that he was carrying chilly Egyptian peas, or chick peas, to which the interpreter replied, “You are a man who kisses your wife during the holy month of Ramadan, when Muslims are supposed to be fasting.” Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Incident - A woman shaving the Dreamer's Hair and Beard It is narrated that a person came to Imaam Jafar Saadiq (RA) and said: “I dreamed that a woman shave my beard and hair. What is the interpretation?” He said: “Indeed, you have seen amost unpleasant dream. For the woman symbolises the year (time) and the head symbolises man's honour, respect beauty and all the Allah favours him with. You will lose all of these. But since you have seen a woman do this, all these bounties will be recovered shortly.” (The narrator says that) the dream came true after a short period of time. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Pearl • Piercing beautifully shaped and lined up pearls: Will interpret the Holy Quran in a correct manner.
• Piercing a pearl with a wooden nail: Will make love to a prohibited relative. A man told Ibn Siren he dreamed that he was piercing a pearl. “Do you know your mother?” the interpreter asked. “No, she was taken captive when I was a small child.” “Have you recently bought a slave?” “Yes.” “Do you sleep with her?” “Yes.” “Then fear God, for she is that mother.”
