Doomsday • An angel handing over a Scripture or a book to the dreamer and commanding him to read: (1) Good dream for a pious person, meaning joy. (2) The fate of an irreligious dreamer is in jeopardy in view of the Quranic verse: “ (And it will be said unto him): Read thy book. Thy soul sufficeth as reckoner against thee this day.” (“Bani Israil” [The Children of Israel], verse 14.) • Walking along the path: The dreamer is scrupulously observing religious tenets. • Deviating from the path, the balance, and the book and crying: God may help you on Doomsday! Road (Avenue; Direction; Path; Trail; Way) A road in a dream represents the divine law. Seeing many roads in a dream denotes deviation from Allah's path, or it could mean religious innovation. Walking on a side road, or yielding at a fork in a dream means going astray. If a highway robber attacks someone in a dream, it means that he will suffer from the loss of a friend. Eyes If one sees his eyes transfixed in a dream, it means that he looks suspiciously at a relative or someone else's wife. Black eyes in a dream represent a religious person. A bluish-black eyes in a dream denote opposing one's religion. Blue eyes in a dream mean religious innovations. Green eyes in a dream mean a religion which is different from all religions. Sharp sight in a dream means blessings, while weak sight means joblessness and living from the generosity of others. Citron Citron, also called Adam’s apple or pie melon, is a good thing to dream of in view of its nice smell and other qualities. It refers to the devout Muslim who reads the Quran very often. The best that could be dreamt of is a green one. One, two, or three citrons mean children. Many pie melons mean money and a good repute. • Eating sweet citrons: Will amass money or obtain money made by somebody else. • Eating sour or bitter citrons: Will have a mild disease. • Cutting off or picking a citron: The dreamer has a sound body and will enjoy a fertile year. Rainbow (Fantasy; Illusion; Pipe dream) In a dream, a rainbow means peace and tranquillity. If the red color is dominant in the dream, then it means witnessing bloodshed during the same year. If the yellow color is more dominant in the dream, it means an illness. If the green color is more dominant in the dream, then it means safety, peace and tranquillity. Swine (Pig) In a dream, a swine represents an avowed and a fierce enemy who is perfidious, worrisome, anxious, who does not act upon what he says and who lies and tricks people. Riding a swine in a dream means that he will earn a large some of money. If one eats it raw, cooked, or broiled in the dream, it means that he swallows unlawful money, or knowingly eats impermissible food. Quince (Fruit) A quince in a dream denotes a sickness. However, if a sick person eats this fruit in his dream, it means that he will recover from his illness. If a governor eats quince in his dream, it means that he will achieve his goals. If a healthy person eats it in his dream, it means that he will receive spiritual guidance. If a merchant eats it in his dream, it means prosperity. Extracting juice from a quince in a dream means undertaking a business trip and reaping good benefits from one's venture. A quince tree in a dream represents a prudent, discrete and a firm man from whom no one can benefit, or it could represent a vile person. A green quince in a dream is better than a yellow one. Flag Carrying a flag of many colors in a dream represents a corrupt woman. If one is given a flag to carry, and if he leads a parade of colorful flags in his dream, it means that he will rise in station and receive honor. To take a flag away from someone in a dream means removing him from office. If one sees a black flag in a dream, it could represent an ominous woman. A black flag in a dream also represents a man of knowledge. A white flag in a dream represents jealousy. A yellow flag represents an epidemic disease and a green flag means a journey by land. Cage (Cradle; House; Prison) In a dream, a cage represents a prison, a cradle or a house. Entering one's head into a cage while walking in the markets in a dream means selling one's house. Transformation If one sees a known old person regaining his youth, it means that the material conditions of the person seeing the dream will turn around to one's advantage or otherwise, i.e., richness into poverty and vice-versa, or if he is sick, he will recover from his illness. If one is transformed into a beautiful shoot of green or a blossoming branch of a tree in a dream, it means that he may die within a short time. Becoming taller in a dream means longevity, prosperity, or begetting a son. If one finds himself missing partial mental keenness or physical abilities or a limb in a dream, it means that he may suffer losses relating to his worldly interests. Pavilion (Army; Canopy; Large tent) In a dream, a pavilion represents someone in command. Seeing a pavilion in a dream also means conquering one's enemy. A canopy in a dream represents someone who has less authority than the commander, a dome represents someone of a lower rank, and a tent in a dream means less than a dome. If a commander is seen leaving his pavilion in a dream, it means that he will lose some of his authority, or that he may die shortly. Unknown pavilions of either green or white colors in a dream mean healing, endowments, gifts, martyrdom, visiting the graves of righteous people, or a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. Ibrahim - Abraham • A father of many children seeing Ibrahim: One of his boys will divorce. • Accompanying Ibrahim or walking beside him: (1) The dreamer will get into trouble with foes but emerge victorious and become a just ruler (authoritative man) or an imam (spiritual leader). (2) The dreamer will befriend some folk who will submit him to a hard test on their part. • Being summoned by Ibrahim and responding promptly: Elevation in life. • Being called by Ibrahim and failing to respond or the dreamer seeing Ibrahim talking to him with remonstrance's or looking sad: (1) Will fail to perform the pilgrimage to Mecca (Makkah) despite ability to do so. Fig Paradoxically, some interpreters hate dreams involving figs in view of other Quranic verses relating to the story of Adam and Eve wherein God says, “And We said: O Adam! Dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden, and eat ye freely [of the fruits] thereof where ye will; but come not nigh this tree lest ye become wrongdoers” (“Al-Baqarah” [The Heifer], verse 35) and “And [unto man]: O Adam! Dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden and eat from whence ye will, but come not nigh this tree lest ye become wrongdoers.” (“Al-Aaraf’ [The Heights], verse 19.) Apricot (Fruit) In season, seeing an apricot in a dream means money. Seeing apricot out of season in a dream means illness. A fruit bearing apricot tree in a dream represents a rich man. However, it is said that an apricot tree in a dream also represents someone who suffers from a serious illness, and is of little or no use to others. On the other hand, it is said that an apricot tree in a dream represents someone with a cheerful face, who is courageous in defends himself, but who is stingy with his own family. When the apricot is still green and unripened in the dream, it represents little money. When it ripens and becomes yellow in a dream, it denotes greater profits. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Cheese Yogurt in a dream represents blessings in one's earnings, though it also indicates that a portion of one's earnings may include forbidden interest made from usury. Cheese in a dream also represents easy profits. However, soft cheese in a dream seems to have a more beneficial interpretation than hardened cheese. Such profits entail current financial success. Hardened cheese in a dream however may mean a journey. Eating bread with cheese in a dream represents miserliness. Mixing bread, cheese and walnuts in a dream means becoming afflicted with a sudden illness. Dry cheese for a traveller means profits while green cheese means profits for a resident. Take flight (Flee; Run away) If one sees himself turning and running away in the face of a battle in a dream, it means that he may contract a venereal disease, or suffer from syphilis. Taking flight in a dream also may mean reverting to what is proper. On the other hand, it may mean falling into sin to earn Allah's wrath and the despise of the common people. If one sees himself taking refuge in a group of people, enticing them to fight in a dream, it means that he is adventuring with his head by walking the path of evil, or by backbiting others. Medlar tree (Crab apple; Crataegus azarolus; Mespilus germanica) Eating a bitter tasting apple like fruit of the medlar tree or any of such varieties that are also used in making preserves, or eaten yellow, spoiled, or unripened in a dream means a sickness. The more yellowish is its color in the dream, the more pain and suffering such an sickness will bring. Eating a green medlar fruit in a dream represents no such danger. Eating any yellowish fruit in a dream represents a sickness, except for citron, apples, or the lotus fruit, for their yellow color in the dream does not cause any harm, since their substance is a viable medicinal cure. Extracting oils from seeds (Grinding; Pressing) Grinding or pressing nuts or seeds to extract their oils or butter in a dream means money and prosperity. Pressing ripe olives in a dream represents one's homeland. Pressing olives for their oil in a dream means relief from burdens or overcoming adversities, or it could represent true scholars, satisfying one's carnal desires, engaging in wrongdoing, receiving guidance, seeing the light, walking away from darkness into light, or it could represent one's earnings or benefits. Moon Walking on the moon in a dream means endearment and love for one's mother. The sun and the moon in a dream represent one's father and mother. Seeing the reflection of one's face in the moon in a dream means one's death. If one's wife is pregnant, and if he sees his resemblance reflected in the moon in a dream, it means glad tidings of a son. If one is looking into the skies and he suddenly sees the moon in his dream, it means that his enemies will be subjugated to him. Bread • Seeing plenty of loaves without eating any of them: Will meet one’s brothers very soon. • Seeing a brown bread loaf in one’s hand: Nice living but medium religious faith. • A barley bread loaf: A life of sorrow and fear. • A dry loaf: Tight living. • Being given a piece of bread and eating it: The dreamer will either die or live nicely. • Taking a piece of bread: The dreamer is cupid. • Hot bread: Hypocrisy and prohibitions. • A loaf of bread hanging on the dreamer’s forefront: He is poor. • Rotten bread (with green bacteria on it): Plenty of money that is of no use to its owner and from which no religious dues are paid. • Bread cooked on embers or hot sand: Hard living, for only the needy bake that kind of bread.
