Poem If the poem one is listening to in his dream contains wisdom or a divine revelation, then it does mean good. Composing a poem, or memorizing it in a dream also means losing one's status, dismissal from one's job, weakness in one's religious adherence, suffering from depression, adversities, suffering from slander by one's enemy, or it could represent a crafty ploy. If one composes a defamatory poem or a satirical poem in a dream, it means that he slanders others for fun or profit. If it is lauding someone, then it means that he will become poor. If he sings his poem with a melody in the dream, it represents a satirical attitude toward someone, doubt about someone, or failure to complete one's work. Dove The dove symbolizes the virtuous, loving, and beloved woman who sticks to her man. It also alludes to the messenger, the letter, and the unexpected or the urgent information. According to legend, it was blessed by Noah after he was disappointed by a crow. He had sent the latter to view the condition of the water, but the crow, having seen carrion floating on the surface, forgot all about its mission. By contrast, the dove brought Noah a green leaf. Likewise, the dove refers to a girl, in particular the white one, sight of whom means good religion. Black pigeons are the leading figures of both sexes in society. But the best dove to be dreamt of is that which is green, for it means piety. The piebald or spotted doves are people of mixed blood. The baby doves are children and servants (slaves in the ancient mentality). The dovecote represents the ladies quarter. Pigeons cooing is a love quarrel.

Pitcher A pitcher, a jog or any similar container in a dream means repentance for a sinner. It also means a son for a pregnant woman. Trench (Defences) If it relates to the king or the ruler and his army in the dream, a trench then means one's men and wealth. If the trench relates to a scholar in the dream, then it represents his advisors, or his circle of intimates who support his theories. If it relates to one's wife, the trench then represents her guardian or her father. If it relates to one's son, the trench then represents his parents. Panties (Underpants; Underwear) If one discovers some wetness in his underpants in a dream, it means that his wife is pregnant. If one defecates in his underpants in a dream, it means a fight with his wife after which he will pay her something he owes her, or it could mean a fight that will end in divorce. Beard If a misguided person sees himself having a beard in his dream, it means that he will receive guidance. If a woman grows a beard in her dream, it means that she is trying to be a man, or it could mean insolence or engaging in wrongdoing. If a child sees himself having a beard in a dream, it means longevity. Loving a beard and kissing it in a dream means lacking determination or will, regardless if it is his own beard or if it is someone else's beard. If a straw or anything sticks to one's beard in a dream, it means hearing bad words. Shaving half of one's beard in a dream means losing one's source of income or loss of one's dignity. Sword • A man whose wife is not pregnant dreaming of drawing his sword from its scabbard: (1) If the sword is clean and glittering, the dreamer will address someone and his statements will be truthful and well received. (2) If the sword is oxidized, whatever the dreamer says will be neither true nor accepted. (3) If the sword is too heavy, the dreamer will say something intolerable. (4) If there is a flaw or a defect in the sword, the dreamer will not express himself properly or will have an impediment in his speech.

Underwear (Panties; Underpants) One's underwear in a dream represents his chastity. If one discovers wetness in his underpants in a dream, it means that his wife is pregnant. Seeing one's underpants soiled with Feces in a dream means divorce. Moustache Shaving, clipping or adjusting one's moustache in a dream means lessening one's burdens. A moustache in a dream also means money. A bad cut in one's moustache in a dream means a mishap or losing money. Having an unusually long moustache in a dream means going against the currents, or it could mean an illness that will deprive one from eating solid food, or it could mean religious innovation. A long and an ugly looking moustache in a dream means difficulties, sorrows, distress, becoming an alcoholic, refusing to surrender to others what belongs to them, or refusing to pay charity, or pretending to ignore the necessity to pay the obligatory alms tax. Mincemeat (Hash) Mincemeat in a dream represents what follows in the food preparation process. First it is minced, then mixed with other ingredients, where its identity changes, then it becomes a dish with a different taste. For an unmarried person, minced meat in a dream means marriage and children, and for a pregnant woman, it means a boy. Male organ Castration in a dream means that one will bear no more daughters. If a pregnant woman sees herself having a male organ in a dream, it means that she will beget a son. If she never had children before, it means that she is barren. If one is circumcised in a dream, it means that he will fulfil his religious covenant, or pay a debt. Death • Death of a relative: Will become less able.
• Death of a pregnant woman: Will give birth to a male child who will prove to be very beneficial and bring about a lot of joy.
• Death of an unknown woman: (1) Worldly matters will run into a snag. (2) Drought. Death of a friend: (1) The dreamer will die. (2) The dreamer will lose that friend.

Tremor (Labor pangs; Labor throes; Quake; Shaking; Shock) A tremor in a dream represents plants blooming, grass growing, vegetations sprouting, the blossoming of garden flowers, and the ripening of fruits. Torah • A bachelor seeing the Torah: • (1) Will marry a girl or woman from another ethnic group. • (2) Will travel extensively, because the Torah comprises several asfar (scriptures or holy writings, plural of safar, which in Arabic is a homonym for travel). • (3) Might marry an emancipated woman or one without a legal guardian.

Child birth • A man dreaming of being pregnant: Will be immersed in deep trouble, but will be safe if he delivered in the dream.
• A man dreaming that he has delivered a child: (1) If poor, will get rich. (2) If rich, will have troubles and worries. (3) If a bachelor, will quickly get married, as normally, it is the wife who should deliver. (4) A relative will die.
• A sick person giving birth to a child: Will die.

Egg • A man whose wife is pregnant hitting an egg once: He is ordering his wife to abort.
• Seeing someone else breaking an egg and throwing it back to the dreamer: That man will deflower the dreamer’s daughter.
• Digging an egg out of one’s sleeve: The dreamer will penetrate his nanny or slave and have a girl from her.
• Having plenty of raw eggs: The dreamer’s great wealth is in jeopardy.
• Seeing boiled eggs: The revival of a stalled or dead matter, which will yield quite a lot of money.

Defeat If a believer sees himself defeated in a dream, it means that he will wear the helmet of a warrior and win the battle against his enemy. If one sees himself defeated and shows no fear in the dream, it means his death. If one sees soldiers retreating into a city to take shelter therein in a dream, it means that they will ultimately win their war, even if their cause is unjust or if they represented a tyrant, though they will ultimately have to pay for their crimes. Beard • The beard having been cut off: Money and prestige will diminish inasmuch as hair was cut.
• Cutting a handful of hair from one’s beard: The dreamer is paying his religious dues.
• A rich man depilating his beard: He is overspending.
• A poor man depilating his beard: (1) Double worry. (2) The dreamer will borrow something from someone to lend it to somebody else.
• A woman having a beard: (1) She will never conceive. (2) If already pregnant, she will give birth to a boy. (3) She is or will be ill. (4) Her husband’s or son’s wealth will increase. Cap (Overseas cap; Persian toga; Roman toga; Shawl) In a dream, a cap means travels, a wife who is supporting her husband, or a husband who is supporting his wife. A shawl-like attire that is worn over the head and shoulders in a dream represents honor, valor, a new trade, travel, a brother or a father. Taking off a cap in a dream means losing one's authority or loss of his wealth. A torn cap in a dream means the death of one's brother or father.
