King If an appointed king sees someone who looks like him sitting in his throne in a dream, it means that he will beget a son. If he divorces his wife in a dream, it means that he will abdicate his throne. To see oneself sleeping with the king in the same bed and without a curtain between them, and if the king leaves the bed while one remains resting therein in the dream, it means that his mixing with the king will incur jealousy, or that he will inherit him. If one leaves the bed before the king, it means that he will escape from a great danger. If one sees himself sleeping alone in the king's bed in a dream, it means that he will marry a woman from the governing family, or that he may spend from his own money for the sake of a woman in that palace. If the bed is in the palace though unknown in the dream, it means that he will become a member of that government. Crow • Seeing a crow at the king’s gate: Will commit a crime and will feel sorry or will kill one’s brother, then repent in view of a verse in the Holy Quran about Cain and Abel: “Then Allah sent a crow scratching up the ground, to show him how to hide his brother’s naked corpse. He said: Woe unto me! Am I not able to be as this raven and so hide my brother’s naked corpse? And he became repentant.” (“Al-Maidah” [The Table Spread], verse 31.)
• Being scratched by crows: (1) Will freeze to death. (2) Will be slandered by unscrupulous persons and suffer tremendously.
• A crow standing on the Kabah, the Muslims holiest shrine in Mecca (Makkah): A debauchee will marry an honest woman.

Finger • Milk coming out of the dreamer’s thumb and blood from his index finger: He is having sex with his mother-in-law and his wife’s sister.
• Cracking the finger joints: Obscene talk in the family. The caliph Harun Al-Rasheed saw the Archangel of Death in a dream. He asked him, “How much longer shall I live?” to which Azrail replied by showing him his five fingers. The caliph woke up in a state of terror. He summoned a qualified dream interpreter who reassured him that what the Archangel of Death meant to say was that there are five things that only God knows; they include the hour, as per the relating verse in the Holy Quran: “Lo! Allah! With Him is knowledge of the Hour. He sendeth down the rain, and knoweth that which is in the wombs. No soul knoweth what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul knoweth in what land it will die. Clouds (Concealment; Gloom; Dream; Life; Rains; Skies; Soldiers; Sufferings; Vapor; Water) In a dream, clouds represent the course of life which provides people with rainwater to drink, water to wash their dirt, water for their crops and sustenance. Clouds in a dream also represent knowledge, understanding, wisdom, clarity as they show the divine kindness. Clouds in a dream also represent an army or friends who carry the water and the water represents life and the original element from which they were created. Clouds in a dream also represent ships, airplanes, or if they are black or carry stones or bring thunder, then they represent the antagonistic character of a leader who deprives his people from their rights or causes them to suffer through restrictive laws or harsh mandates. Wound (Bleeding; Cut; Injury) A wound in a dream means compensation money that will come out of an injury one may suffer, and it will show. A cut in the right hand in a dream means money which is earned from a family business. If the left hand receives the cut, such profits will come through a female relative. If one sees his left foot bleeding from a cut, it means that he will earn money from a farming business. If his injury is in his back, then such profits will come from his children. If his wound starts bleeding in the dream, it means a debt which he must repay, even if it is difficult for him to do so at present. Every bleeding wound in a dream represents a financial obligation. Moon (Reverie; Satellite) The moon in a dream represents a just ruler, his chief minister, a great scholar, a handsome looking boy, a tyrant, or a liar. Seeing the moon as it is in the skies in a dream represents the chief minister of the land. Seeing the moon sitting in one's lap in a dream means getting married. Sitting in the moonlight and talking to one's friend in a dream means reverie and idle talk. If a woman sees that the moon has fallen inside her house, then if she takes it and wraps it in a swaddle in a dream, it means that she will beget a son who will shortly die after his birth and she will suffer great sorrow from his loss. Seeing the moon turned to the dark side in a dream means dismissal of the chief minister from his post. Incest • Making love to one’s mother known to be dead in the dream: Will meet her if she is alive.
• Making love to one’s dead mother: The dreamer will die, because mother is synonym for earth.
• Having sex with one’s mother in her grave: Death.
• A traveller dreaming that he is making love to his mother: Will return to her from his journey.
• A poor man or a person whose mother is wealthy dreaming that he is having sex with her: (1) Will obtain all that he wishes from her. (2) She will die and he will inherit from her.
• A sick man dreaming of having sex with his mother: Will recover.
• Making love to one’s living mother: (1) Will be inimical to the father. (2) If the father is ill: The father will die and the son will look after his mother as a son and a husband. (3) If the son is hostile to his mother: She will show him love and affection. (4) The dreamer is good-natured, for nature is the mother of mankind. (5) If the son is involved in a feud over some property or a piece of land and is trying to purchase it: He will win. Mule The mule with its saddle, reins, and other equipment is a beautiful woman of letters but of low origin. It might also symbolize a barren or childless woman. Every time she has a child, he will die.
• A gray mule: A beautiful woman.
• A green mule: A virtuous lady who will live long.
• Riding on a black mule: A rich and childless woman who wields tremendous power. (Paradoxically, the words black and master in Arabic are homonyms.)
• Riding someone else’s mule: Will flirt or sleep with someone else’s woman.
• Riding on a mule backward: A sinful woman.
• A mule with its pack saddle and necessary gear: A reference to travel.
• A talking mule or horse: Extraordinary welfare is ahead and people will talk about it.
• Owning a pregnant mule: You wish to increase your wealth.
• A mule having delivered: A wish will be fulfilled.

Reins (Bridle; Harness) In a dream, reins represent mastery of one's craft, control of his trade, or it could signify power and a strong financial standing. Reins in a dream also represent a coachman, or the driver who never disobeys his master, and who goes wherever he is told to go. Riding on a workhorse who is fitted with a harness, or on a bridled nag in a dream means occupying an important office and letting everyone who works for the leader make an oath of allegiance before hiring them for work. If the bridle and the martingale are unadorned in the dream, then such a dream represents a humble person, and connotes that his heart is better than what his outer look may suggest. Reins in a dream also connote safety or a safety belt. Wearing a harness in a dream means safety, and that one does not interfere with others business or talk about them. However, should one who has to appear in court see himself wearing a harness in a dream, it means that his proof will not be accepted by the judge, and subsequently he will lose his case. Scorpion (Calamity; Misfortune) A scorpion in a dream means distress, dismay and trouble caused by a chatterer or a backbiter. A scorpion in a dream also means that one may be deceived by someone with a scorpion quality, and particularly if he uses a short haircut around the ears in the dream. A scorpion in a dream also represents a backbiter and an enemy from within one's family. If one catches a scorpion inside his own house and throws it at his wife in the dream, it means that he engages with a loathsome and a forbidden sexual relationship with her from the anus. If a scorpion attacks people in a dream, the scorpion there represents a homosexual. A yellow scorpion in a dream represents a fierce enemy, though he would have more patience in getting at his prey. A yellow scorpion in a dream also means incoming money. Killing a yellow scorpion in a dream means making a good investment that will show profits. Speaking Animal talk in a dream denotes leaning toward friendships and finding peace in the company of pious people, or it could mean working to earn one's livelihood. If a wall speaks to someone in a dream, it means a warning of separation, or it could mean renouncing the city and seeking to live in the wilderness, near uninhabited ruins, or near a graveyard. Hearing a voice commanding one to do something in a dream means glad tidings. Hearing Allah Almighty on the Day of Judgement in a dream means rising in station, performing good deeds and nearness to one's Lord. Listening to the Holy Words of Allah Almighty in a dream also denotes the spread of justice and righteousness, and such a dream could represent a ruler who cares for his subjects. If a allahly and a pious person sees that in a dream, it means that he will renounce the world and seek the comfort and the blessings of the hereafter. Horse • Seeing a saddled but unknown stallion or mare in one’s house: A woman will enter the house for sex, marriage, or a simple courtesy call. The same situation involving an unsaddled horse would mean that a man would enter that house for marital purposes and the like. Draft horses or packhorses symbolize man’s perseverance and struggle. They are midway between a mare and a donkey. They represent a low-class wife and a slave or servant. On the other hand, they also refer to energy, luck earned through tears and sweat, and prosperity.
• Seeing one’s draft horse rolling in the dust: Efforts will be stepped up, and wealth will increase.
• A yellow packhorse: Sorrow.
• If someone used to riding mares rides a draft horse, his prestige will fall, his power will wane, and he might abandon his wife to go with a slave girl or a nanny.
• Conversely, if a person used to riding donkeys rides a draft horse, people will talk highly of him and praise him and his income will increase. His sexual standard might also be promoted by going to bed with a free woman, rather than a slave.

King (Allah Almighty; Governor; Mayor; President; Royalty; Sultan) The true King is Allah Almighty. If the king is pleased with someone in a dream, it means that Allah Almighty is pleased with him, and if the king is angry with him in the dream, it means that Allah Almighty is displeased with him. If one sees the king frowning in a dream, it means that he fails to properly perform his prayers or show true religious devotion. If one sees him smiling in a dream, it means profits in one's material as well as spiritual life. If one sees that Allah Almighty has appointed him as a king over a land, it means that he will receive such a regency, should he qualify. Later on, unrest will bring tyrants, or dictators to justice, while people of knowledge and piety will survive and regain their authority. If one sees himself as a caliph or as an Imam in a dream and should he qualify, it means that he will receive such an honor, rank, trust and fame in the land, though his vice-regency will not become hereditary. However, it is a bad omen if he becomes a caliph in the dream and does not qualify for such an appointment. Market The unspecified market refers to the mosque and vice versa, because man trades and earns in both.39 It also refers to the battlefield, where some people win and others lose. In the Holy Quran, God has used the word commerce as a synonym for Jihad (holy struggle): “O ye who believe! Shall I show you a commerce that will save you from a painful doom?” (“Al-Saff’ [The Ranks], verse 10.) Likewise, the souk or marketplace could allude to the person’s luck commensurate with the size of the market; the learning institution; the asylum; and the pilgrimage season. The meat market, in particular, symbolizes the war zone. The jewel and the cloth markets represent commemoration ceremonies and learning establishments. The money changers market is a reference to the ruler’s court, where people weigh what they say and matters are evaluated carefully. Sometimes souks represent lies, injustice, worries, and misery. They allude as well to the sea, where the big fish eat the small fish, and to compulsory spending, as often brought about by spouses, or marriage itself, and the birth of new children. Indeed, each specific market has a different interpretation. But it is noteworthy that the Muslims Holy Prophet was said to consider the souk as the abode of devils. Ibn 'Umar's Wanting To See A Good Dream Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Men from the companions of Allah's Apostle (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) used to see dreams during the lifetime of Allah's Apostle (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) and they used to narrate those dreams to Allah's Apostle(Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) . Allah's Apostle would interpret them as Allah wished. I was a young man and used to stay in the mosque before my wedlock. I said to myself, "If there were any good in myself, I too would see what these people see." So when I went to bed one night, I said, "O Allah! If you see any good in me, show me a good dream." So while I was in that state, there came to me (in a dream) two angels. In the hand of each of them, there was a mace of iron, and both of them were taking me to Hell, and I was between them, invoking Allah, "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from Hell." Then I saw myself being confronted by another angel holding a mace of iron in his hand. He said to me, "Do not be afraid, you will be an excellent man if you only pray more often." So they took me till they stopped me at the edge of Hell, and behold, it was built inside like a well and it had side posts like those of a well, and beside each post there was an angel carrying an iron mace. I saw therein many people hanging upside down with iron chains, and I recognized therein some men from the Quraish. Then (the angels) took me to the right side. I narrated this dream to (my sister) Hafsa and she told it to Allah's Apostle (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam). Allah's Apostle (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) said, "No doubt, 'Abdullah is a good man."
