Illness Seeing a friend sick in a dream means that one will suffer from the same illness. Illness in a dream also signifies spending money, repentance, prayers, supplications, imploring, while falling in love in a dream means a sickness. Seeing two of one's children sick in a dream means that one may suffer from trachoma or ophthalmia, for one's eyes in a dream represent his children. Illness in a dream means that one has lost something to his adversary. Seeing one's father ill in a dream means having a migraine headache, for one's father in a dreams also represents his head. Fireplace A fireplace in a dream also could represent the month of January or the cold season. If a bachelor sees a fireplace in a dream, it means that he will get married, and if he is married, it means that his wife will become pregnant. If he is a sinner, it means that he will repent for his sins, for a fireplace is the abode of fire and fire in a dream represents fear, horror and guidance. A fireplace in a dream also represents one's stomach and the firewood in a dream represents a late heavy meal that will cause indigestion or confused dreams. Lying On Two Different Sides Abu Salama reported Allah's Messenger (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) as saying: I used to see dreams, but the hadith transmitted on the authority of Laith b. Nu'man, the words of Abu Salama at the concluding part of the hadith are not mentioned. Blood However, it must be pointed out that if the blood coming out from the person’s body was superfluous or unwanted, the dream would augur well, unlike dreams with excessive bleeding or haemorrhage.
• Drinking one’s own blood: (1) Worries and hardships. (2) Will settle a debt by contracting another one. (3) Victory over the enemy.

Fountainhead If the water is pure and clean in the dream, it means depression along with a strong and a healthy body. What is disliked in such dreams is the murky water. If one owns a stream in a dream, it represents one's livelihood, his shop, business, work, or one's good deeds that remain beneficial even after his death and until the Day of Judgment such as a blessed progeny, a school or a mosque he builds, a road he opens, a book of knowledge he leaves behind, or a charitable endowment. Seeing waters overflowing from a fountainhead and flooding one's property means sadness, crying and sorrow and the same applies if one drinks from that water in his dream. Jupiter The planet Jupiter refers to the king’s friend or treasurer.
• Dreaming of Jupiter with the moon: A reference to buying and selling (as the name “Mushtari” for Jupiter, in Arabic means “the buyer”), welfare, prosperity, and prestige.

Incident - The conflicting interpretations It is reported that a person came to Ibn Sirin (RA) and said: “O Imaam! I dreamt that I was proclaiming the athaan!” The Imaam interpreted the dream thus: “Your hands shall be amputated (through stealing)”. Then came another person who related a similar dream. The Imaam interpreted his dream thus. : “You will proceed for Hajj.” The Imaam's students were amazed at these two conflicting interpretation of two dreams which resembled each other in every respect. Siddiqun Whatever this blessed angel of dreams gives or tells will take effect as it is, for he is in charge of such a duty. The arc angel Saddiqun in a dream also represents the speaker of the house, the translator of the palace, the one who delivers the royal decree and knows the inner secrets. Seeing him in a dream also represents piety, medicine, clarity, perspicacity, transparency of one's vision, the school teacher who keeps looking at the blackboard, the librarian, an official speaker, logs, or books. Yaaqoub (5) An absent son or a missing relative will come back, or there will be a reunion with loved ones. (5) A reference to grief, sorrow, and the loss of one’s family, especially the most cherished child; the interpreter of dreams; frequent travel; plenty of money; price increase; and lost or found objects. (6) Some wicked person will try to swindle the dreamer out of his money or drive a wedge between him and his son.

Buffalo The buffalo should be interpreted as a bull that does not work. Nevertheless, it symbolizes a courageous man who fears no one, who endures beyond his capacity, and who likes to do good. The she-buffalo should be interpreted as a cow, even insofar as her milk, meat, and skin are concerned. If a woman dreams that she has a horn like a buffalo: (1) She will rule. Companions • Seeing one of the companions of the Holy Prophet, like Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, Omar ibn El-Khattab, Othman ibn Affan, and Ali ibn Abi Taleb, or all of them alive: The dreamer is blessed with a strong religious faith and a powerful family. He will also be promoted, dignified, and exalted.
• Seeing the Prophet’s companions repeatedly in one’s dreams: Things will go for the better.

Drinking Sea Water If a person dreams that he is drinking sea water and the water is not turbid or muddy nor are any waves seen in such waters it means he will acquire as much of the wealth of this world as the amount of water he had drunk. Moreover he shall lead a clean and happy life. But if the water is brackish or filthy or the ocean is shrouded in darkness or the water assumes the form of huge, frightening waves it suggest he will be afflicted with grief, fear and hardship, the intensity of which will depend on how much of the above conditions prevail in the water or ocean. Liver The liver symbolizes money. It is also the center of anger and mercy. It also alludes to children and decency. And there is no distinction, in the interpretation of dreams, between human and animal liver.
• The liver coming out of the body: The reappearance of hoarded money.

Earthquake If the quake takes place during the month of May, it means a fierce battle, fights between people or public disorder. If one's dream takes place during the month of June, then it means destruction of evil trades and their people. If the dream takes place during the daylight time, then it means appointment of people of knowledge to leading positions in the government. If one dreams of an earthquake during the month of July, it means that a great person will die in that place. If it takes place during the month of August, it means that an enemy will attack that country. If it takes place during the month of September in the dream, it means that a stranger will enter that town and subsequently, the town will be hit with a severe plague and sufferings. Heart The heart symbolizes the dreamer’s wife. It also refers to his courage, tolerance, forgiveness, temerariousness (guts), quality, generosity, endurance, and righteousness. Anything wrong in it in a dream applies to the body, as the heart belongs to the body and makes it live. But the interpretation of dreams involving the heart by the ancient Arabs was often paradoxical.
• The heart coming out of the body: Religious faith and fidelity.

Insult The rule in such dreams is that the aggressed is always better than the aggressor, as the aggressed must ultimately triumph.
• Being insulted by a person: (1) The dreamer will be harmed by that person, then triumph over him. (2) The one who insults owes something to the dreamer and is duty-bound to settle it.

Sheep • Buying a ram: Will be needed by an honest man to be saved from disease or destruction.
• Becoming a ram: Will enjoy fame and fortune in the shadow of a rich and influential but honest man or will serve a king.
• Fighting a ram: Will be at loggerheads with a giant of a man. Whoever wins the combat will triumph in reality, because the two are of different kinds.49
• Riding a ram or eating cooked ram meat: Fertility and abundance. In dreams, fat meat is a better symbol than lean.

Siddiqun He is the arc angel Saddiqun, Alayhi-Salam, who is in charge of interpreting the meaning of dreams and visions, or giving explanatory parables drawn from the heavenly Preserved Tablet. Seeing him (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) in a dream represents glad tidings, festivities, fulfilling promises, recognizing the inevitability of death, enjoying life, travels, coming home, marriage, children, a high ranking appointment, gaining power, victory, or perhaps defeat and humiliation. Incident - A barber shaving off Beard and Moustache It is related that in Baghdad some persons were seated together, relating their dreams to each other. One amongst them said : “Friends I wish to relate to you a strange dream I had seen. I saw a barber shaving off my beard and moustche. One awakening I proceeded to Imaam Jafar Saadiq (RA) and related to him the dream. He said: You are to become embroiled in some difficulty owing to which you will lose your honour and respectability amongst the people. This will cause you muich grief and sorrow. I was shocked by this interpretation. I returned home with difficulty and remained indoors for four days. One the fifth day I decided to go out for a walk When I reached the door of the masjid. Bathroom • Dreaming of drinking hot water in a bathroom means one will have a fever or pleurisy.
• Dreaming of seeing a bathroom in one’s lane or district means the emergence of a lewd woman or an adulteress there.
• A man dreaming that he has become a bathroom attendant means he will marry a beautiful woman.
• A lady dreaming that she has become a bathroom attendant means she is trying to manage her own affairs and promote her interests.
• A man dreaming that he is building a bathroom means he will marry.
• If one dreams of entering a bathroom the hotter the water, the more worries, anger or fury, sickness, evil, and deep troubles.
