Petroleum - Or Naphta, Crude Oil For the ancient Arabs this mineral symbolized the haram (money) or money obtained by unholy means and constituting a sin and the debauched woman who corrupts others. Some interpreters regarded it as money earned the hard way or simply trouble and worries for its being difficult to swallow or digest. Dying for the Second Time If a dead person is seen as dying again and there is weeping without screaming and mourning it means a relative of his will get married and the marriage will bring great happiness and pleasure. Extinguishing a fire Extinguishing a fire in a dream means putting off or quelling a riot, deterring a war or abolishing innovation. Quran • Listening to the Holy Quran: Authority will be enhanced and life will end beautifully and will be shielded against all sorts of intrigues, in view of the Quranic verse that reads: “And when thou recites the Quran, we place before thee and those who believe not in the Hereafter a hidden barrier.” (“Bani Israil” [The Children of Israel], verse 45.)

Fig A fig means plenty of money or money from Iraq. A fig tree refers to a man full of money and a philanthropist but to whom the enemies of Islam turn, because such a tree usually shelters snakes. Most interpreters like those dreams involving figs, because Allah swore by it in the Holy Quran when He said, “By the fig and the olive, by Mount Sinai, and by this land made safe; surely We created man of the best stature” (“Al-Tin” [The Fig], verses 1–4.)
