Yaaqoub (5) An absent son or a missing relative will come back, or there will be a reunion with loved ones. Quince The quince itself is disliked by most dream interpreters, who regard it as a sign of disease in view of its color and because it looks as if it were gripped. Some say that it refers to a trip, owing to the etymology of the word. (The Arabic name is safarjal and safar means “travel.”) But it could be a successful or an unsuccessful journey. Hazelnut In a dream, hazelnut represents a stranger who is rich, generous but dull, unpleasant though he has the ability to bring people together. It is also interpreted as hard earned money. In general, nuts in a dream represent roar, or even melancholy. A hazelnut in a dream also means news that one's homeland is ravaged by war and its children are taken prisoners. Vessel The vessel symbolizes everything that saves the dreamer, by allegory to Noah’s ark. It refers particularly to Islam, which salvages human beings from their ignorance or atheism, or to the wife or slave-girl who immunizes the dreamer by ensuring his sexual sufficiency and saves him from the temptation of other women, which might lead to adultery or corruption in society. By so doing, the dreamer’s woman also saves him from Hell in the Hereafter. It also alludes to the dreamer’s parents who protected him when he was a baby from hunger and death, more particularly his mother, whose womb was like a ship he was riding in. Torah • A bachelor seeing the Torah: • (1) Will marry a girl or woman from another ethnic group. • (2) Will travel extensively, because the Torah comprises several asfar (scriptures or holy writings, plural of safar, which in Arabic is a homonym for travel). • (3) Might marry an emancipated woman or one without a legal guardian.

Hand • Putting a hand under the armpit and drawing it back to find water in it: Will have money.
• Having an extra hand: (1) More influence and strength. (2) Will have a brother. (3) Will have a child.
• Being left-handed: Difficulties are ahead. (The word for left-handed in Arabic, Aasar, comes from ’osr, meaning “difficulty.)
• Doing something with the left hand: Will get what you want but late.

Makkah • Seeing a fertile Mecca (Makkah) flourishing: Welfare and good tidings. The reverse is also true.
• Being on the way to Mecca (Makkah): Will perform the Muslims pilgrimage.
• Entering Mecca (Makkah): No more fear.
• Entering Mecca (Makkah) or belonging to Mecca (Makkah): An allusion to a beautiful girl or woman whose hand is solicited by too many people.

Eve • A woman seeing Eve in her dream: (1) Will make her husband unhappy and give him worries for befriending unworthy persons. (2) Will face a terrible ordeal, because Eve was the first woman ever to have menses. (3) Will become a midwife. (4) Will give birth to virtuous children. (5) One of her children will become a killer. (6) One of her children will become a martyr. (7) If separated or away from her husband, will go back to him. Tent If one sees a white tent raised beside his tent in a dream, it represents a righteous person who commands what is good and forbids what is evil. It also means that he will repent for a hideous sin. If one sees the moon inside his tent in a dream, it means that he will illicit sexual intercourse with a boy or with a young girl from a noble family. Beard • A yellow beard: Poverty and illness.
• A red beard: Religious awe.
• A man whose beard is black dreaming that it has darkened further and become more beautiful than usual: Prestige, prosperity, influence, and beauty.

Backbone Perhaps one's backbone could be interpreted to mean crucifixion, or it could mean marriage to a virgin. If one sees a tree growing from his backbone in a dream, it means an illness. Spear • Placing a spear behind the door or covering it with one’s arm: Wife will give birth to a girl.
• Stabbing with a spear: Will falter and commit a sin, backbite, or slander somebody.
• A spear breaking: Bad omen and decaying influence. If it is the chief’s spear, an enemy will emerge or the chief will be deposed or have an accident. If it belongs to the son or the brother, a tragedy will befall him. In case it can be repaired, the victim will escape or recover or things will return to normal. If it is beyond repair, the subject will die.

Incident - Hands being bounded by a black rope A person narrated the following dream to Ibn Sirin : “I saw in the dream that my son bounded my hands behind my back with a black rope. Tell me what does this mean.” The Imaam said:” Congratulations to you. You are in debt and your son will relieve you of this burden very shortly. Moreover, he will also relieve you of your burden of having to earn a livelihood and incurring further debts. For, blackness suggests affluence and sufficiency”. Cow • A bachelor acquiring a cow: Will marry a blessed woman.
• Riding on a cow: (1) Will get married. (2) Wife will die and will inherit from her.
• Riding on an identified cow: Richness and escape from trouble and all sorts of worry.
• Entering one’s own house on a cow’s back and tying her there: Will obtain a fortune, coupled with plenty of joy and the end of worries, especially if her color was black. Conversely, if she hit the dreamer with her horns, the dreamer would lose and never be safe from his family and relatives.

Leg The legs symbolize a man’s stature, wealth, and means of living on which he relies. They also refer to his life and to his parents.
• Having iron legs: Will live long.
• One’s legs made of glass or looking like bottles: Will go bankrupt, lose one’s folk, and die, because glass is easily breakable and bottles do not last long.

Boy (Young boy) Seeing a young boy in a dream means receiving glad tidings. Begetting a boy in a dream means worries, burdens or sickness, while giving birth to a girl in a dream means relief from distress or easing of one's difficulties. Hunchback (Friend; Good luck; Money; Prosperity) A hunchbacked in a dream means prosperity, longevity, or having a large family. Seeing oneself in a dream as a hunchback means acquiring wealth and a large property through an influential person in one's family or a son. Suffocation If his suffering increases to near strangulation and death in the dream, it means that he is required to repay all the benefits he drew from holding such trust. If he dies in his dream as a consequence of his suffocation, it means that he will lose his battle with the owner and become poor. If he comes back to life after dying in the dream, it means that in a while, Allah Almighty will reinstate him in his position after his trying experience.
