Stork This bird symbolizes sociable people, but there is a difference between seeing storks flocking together and scattered. In the former case, they refer to thieves and highwaymen or enemy warriors or to cold weather and air turbulence. Scattered, they are a good sign for whoever plans to travel or to get married. A Person who Weighs and Measures He symbolises a qaadhi, judge or magistrate if he is unknown. If a person sees such a person clapping hands it means the qaadhi is biased and unfair in his judgement. Angel • Angels descending on graves: Devout people will be buried there.
• Angels in a souk (marketplace): Cheating is taking place there.
• Flying with the angels and rising with them to the sky, not to return: Will be honoured in this world, then die as a martyr.
• Contemplating the angels: Catastrophe or something will befall the dreamer’s children and fortune, in view of the Quranic verse: “The Day they see the angels, no joy will there be to the criminals that Day: the (angels) will say there is a barrier forbidden (to you) altogether!” (“Al-Furqan” [The Criterion], verse 22). Hand • The ruler cutting the dreamer’s right hand: The dreamer will lie while taking the oath or swearing.

• Seeing an elephant anywhere other than in India: Hardships and terror.

Bigamy • For a man, it means power, in the event the bride has been seen or named or is known to the dreamer, and such power would be commensurate with her beauty; otherwise it means his death or he will commit a killing.
