Sheep If one sees himself slaughtering a sheep in a dream, it means that one of his boys will shortly die, or perhaps it could be the son of someone he knows. A sheep trader in a dream represents a good man who is intuitive and who spends his money on the path of seeking knowledge, or to propagate the same. A whitewasher in a dream implies covering people's faults or giving someone a new dress or he could represent a tailor. Sacrifice (Immolation) To offer a sacrifice in a dream means to fulfill one's promises, relief from difficulty, healing of the sick, or increase in one's earnings. If the one offering a sacrifice interprets dreams as a profession, then it means that he has misinterpreted someone's dream, that he gave him bad advice, or sacrificed the interest of the person in question. Incident - a Bowl full of Ants He related to him the advice of the Imaam. She asked him what he planned to do. He said he planned to sell. Him. She said: “In the at case you may as well divorce me.” It is said that he sold the salve to a teacher of his. When the wife learned of this she absconded in pursuit of the slave. The husband, on learning his immediately set off to look for her. He found her in the city of Harraan where she had repurchased the slave from his new master and married him. And they drew lots and was of those rejected; and the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; and had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah), he would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised.” (“Al-Saffat” [Those Who Set the Ranks], verses 139–44.) Blowing Blowing the trumpet of resurrection in a dream means salvation of the righteous ones. Vice-regent A vice-regent or a caliph in a dream also represents aloofness, seclusion, truthfulness, volunteering one's services, commanding what is good and forbidding what is evil, developing one's own certitude and faith, repentance, abstaining from sinful actions, imprisonment, sickness, or travels. If one sees himself being awarded the seat of the vice-regent or caliph in a dream, though he does not suit the position, it means that adversities and temptations will befall the land, though the people of knowledge and the righteous ones will escape such danger. Saw In a dream, a saw represents a forgiving person, or a mediator who negotiates back and forth. A saw in a dream also may represent a judge, an arbitrator, or marriage. House The house gate or door is the father of the family. The mortise and tenon symbolize the female and male sexual organs as they fit into each other. Locked together, they represent the husband embracing his wife. By extension, the mortise and tenon could also refer to the couple’s two children, a boy and a girl, to two brothers, or to two persons sharing the same house. Masjid If a religious scholar builds a Masjid in a dream, it means that he will author a book that will benefit others, or delivers a commentary on a complex religious issue, or if he is wealthy, it means that he will pay the alms tax due on his assets. Building a Masjid in a dream also means getting married, or conceiving a child who will grow to become a righteous and a knowledgeable scholar, or if one is poor, it means that he will become rich. Otherwise, it means that one will serve Allah's House and fill it with invocations, supplications, serving the interest of the community, leading the people to unity and love, and teaching them to value obedience to Allah's commands. Satan If one sees himself inwardly talking with Satan in a dream, it means that he will join hands with his own enemy, and his strike will be against the righteous people, though he will ultimately fail. If one sees Satan teaching him something in a dream, it means that he will fabricate a story, speak falsehood, or recite poems filled with lies. If one sees that Satan has descended upon him in a dream, it means that he engages in falsehood and sin. If one sees himself presiding over a band of satans, controlling them, commanding them, and if they obey him in the dream, it means that he will receive a seat of honor and he will be feared by his friend and foes. A Door It symbolises the head of the household and at other times the one who manages the household affairs which is, in most cases, one's wife.
