Ibn 'Umar's Wanting To See A Good Dream Narrated Ibn 'Umar: I was a young unmarried man during the lifetime of the Prophet (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam). I used to sleep in the mosque. Anyone who had a dream, would narrate it to the Prophet. I said, "O Allah! If there is any good for me with You, then show me a dream so that Allah's Apostle may interpret it for me." So I slept and saw (in a dream) two angels came to me and took me along with them, and they met another angel who said to me, "Don't be afraid, you are a good man." They took me towards the Fire, and behold, it was built inside like a well, and therein I saw people some of whom I recognized, and then the angels took me to the right side. In the morning, I mentioned that dream to Hafsa. Hafsa told me that she had mentioned it to the Prophet and he said, "'Abdullah is a righteous man if he only prays more at night." Incident - Abdullah bin Omar wanting to see a dream Abdullah bin Omar, God be pleased with both of them, related that in his youth, he wished to see a true dream and to hear its interpretation from Prophet Muhammad, Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam. Incident - Cutting off family ties Bishr bin Abi Al-'Aliya said: "I asked Muhammad about someone who saw his jaws fall out in a dream." He replied: 'This is someone who has cut off his ties with his family." Here again, Prophet Muhammad went to the origin, and in this case, it is one's teeth. In Islam, breaking relations with one's family is considered a major sin. Jubair Ibn Mut'in reported that Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) has said: "One who breaks his family ties will not enter paradise." Seth (The prophet Seth, Alayhi-Salam.) Seeing Allah's prophet Seth, Alayhi-Salam, in a dream means prosperity, contentment, blessings, joy, children, honor and a happy life by Allah's leave. A Waist-band A waist-band, if gilded, means the acquiring of wealth and the commanding of respect which will be a means of a person becoming boastful. It is also interpreted as him becoming a leader of his community which he will enjoy for the duration of half his life. And if it is glided and adorned with pearls studded therein, he will become very wealthy due to which he will become the leader of his household; or a son will be born to him who will command much respect. Idris • Seeing the Prophet Idris: Piety, foresight, patience, knowledge, and a happy ending.
• Becoming Idris or acquiring some of his qualities or characteristics: Will become more knowledgeable, get closer to prominent personalities and dignitaries, gain a lot of prestige, and be highly appreciated and respected.
• Accompanying someone who has similarities with the Prophet Idris: Will befriend such a person.

Disobedience (Insubordination) Disobedience to Allah's commands in a dream means insubordination or indulging in sin. If one denies his act to be a sin in the dream, then such disobedience signifies that he will suffer from a severe punishment for his arrogance. Crucifixion • A bondsman dreaming of being crucified: Will be freed.
• Being crucified on the wall of a city with people watching: The dreamer will have dignity and influence, and both the rich and poor will be at his command (under him). If he bleeds, his subjects will benefit from him.

Insult (Abuse; Cursing; Swearing; Vilify) Insulting someone in a dream could represent the dignity of the one impugning upon the other person, and the unworthiness of the person who is insulted. I saw the people scooping it up with their hands, some taking much and some taking little. I saw a rope extending from the sky to the earth. Then I saw you Prophet Muhammad! You took hold of it and went up, then a man took hold of it after you do so, then a man took hold of it after him to do so. Then a man took hold of it and it was severed, and then connected for him, and he did so (i.e. , went up)." Abu Bakr said: "May my father and mother be ransomed for you O Messenger of Allah! Allow me to interpret it." He said: "Interpret it." so he said: "As for the cloud with its shade, it is Islam. As for what the butter and honey that dropped from it, this is the Quran and its delicateness and sweetness. It means some of them gathered much of the Quran and some of them a little. As for the rope extending from the sky to the earth, it is the truth which you are upon, you clug to it and Allah exalted you. Then another man will take hold of it after you and ascend on it, then after him, another man will take hold of it and ascend on it. Then another [man] will take hold of it but it will break, then be connected so he will ascend on it. Inform me O Messenger of Allah! Am I correct or am I mistaken?" The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said: "You are correct in some of it and mistaken in some of it." He (i.e., Abu Bakr) said: "I swear to you by my father and my mother O Prophet Muhammad! Visiting holy sites Visiting the Prophet's Mosque in Medina in a dream means seeking Allah's nearness and his pleasure through good deeds. It also means feeling safe, mixing with people of knowledge, associating with people of religious ranks, joining the company of knowledge seekers, and developing sincere love for the family of Allah's Prophet, Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam, serving and loving those who love his progeny. Visiting the Prophet's Mosque (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) in a dream also means love, knowledge and guidance. Visiting Al-Aqsa Sacred Mosque in Jerusalem in a dream means blessings, understanding the inner meaning of important spiritual subjects and miraculous events, or reflecting upon the Nocturnal Journey of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam), the night in which the eight heavens were decorated to receive and honor him when he was called upon to come before Allah Almighty. Mountain A mountain in a dream represents a great and a noble man who possesses a strong and a commanding voice, who commands good administration of his affairs and an excellent leadership. • Seeing Eve with a beautiful face: A reference to one’s mother, a good augury that troubles will be over, and a warning that the dreamer should not, out of weakness, give way to the commands of a woman, lest he lose his leadership and feel sorry afterward.
