Islam • An atheist or a polytheist dreaming that he has passed unto “Darul Islam” (the Islamic fold): Will die quickly, because, says Ibn Siren, the camp of Islam is that of Eternal Truth.
• A Muslim dreaming that he is saying, “I have become Muslim”: His life will improve and he will become more faithful to God.
• A Muslim dreaming that he has become Muslim again: He will be safe from all plagues and pests.

Archangel Gabriel (Upon him be peace.) Seeing him in a dream and feeling happy for his meeting brings glad tidings. If the archangel Gabriel in one's dream speaks to him, advises him, or admonishes him in the dream, it means receiving a great honor, strength, victory in one's life and glad tidings. If the person is oppressed, it means that he will triumph at the end. If he is sick, it means that he will recover from his illness. If he is in a state of depression or fear, it means that he will overcome it and he shall sail into success. If he had not yet performed his pilgrimage to Mecca, it means that he will fulfill it. Pudenda • Taking off one’s clothes while busy doing something: The dreamer is persevering and will reach his objective.
• Seeing oneself without clothes and with the genitals apparent: The dreamer will overwhelm one’s enemies at that spot. If the genitals are covered, it would not be so. More, in case the dreamer himself had covered his pudendum with anything or simply with his hand, he would be taken by force to these enemies, but escape from them.
• Being naked while asking for something: The dreamer will get what he wants inasmuch as he was naked (though nakedness for no purpose or without being busy doing anything means hardships, disobedience, and disgrace).
• The pudendum being apparent without the dreamer looking at it or feeling ashamed or anyone paying attention to it: An ordeal will be over, be it a loan, a debt, some kind of fear, or a worry of any sort.

Flying • Flying with birds: (1) Will flock with foreigners. (2) For an evil person: Bad omen. (3) Possible crucifixion. (4) For a fisherman: Coming ordeal.
• Flying with wings that do not resemble bird wings: Something extraordinary will happen to the dreamer, and people will marvel.
• Flying without wings: Fear and hardships, but also fulfilment of a wish and rising in life as high as the dreamer rose in the sky.

Crow (Carrion crow; Cheat; Hooded crow; Jackdow; Raven; Swindle) A crow in a dream means adultery, narrow-mindedness or concealing one's evil actions or intentions. In a dream, a crow also represents a stingy, proud, ostentatious and an arguing person. Hunting crows in a dream means earning unlawful money through deceitful actions and corruption. Seeing a crow in a dream also means a bad omen and particularly if seen in the fields. Seeing a crow standing over the roof of one's house in a dream means that one's wife is having a secret affair with one of his friends. If a crow speaks to someone in his dream, it means that he will beget a son who will grow to be a corrupt person. Quicksilver Or Mercury • Eating mercury: Trouble, worries, harm, and losses.
• Entering a quicksilver mine and coming out with something: The dreamer’s wife is a wicked woman who cheats him.
• Selling mercury: The dreamer will be safe from the intrigues of a cunning woman.
• Drowning in mercury: The dreamer will be enslaved by shrewd and enticing women who have more than one card up their sleeve.

Pain (Ache; Discomfort; Hurt) In a dream, pain means regret and sorrow. Suffering from a tooth ache in a dream means hearing painful words from a relative the particular tooth implies. Neck pain in a dream represents being ill-treated by one's friends. Neck pain in a dream also may indicate that one has betrayed his covenant, or that he has denied a promise. Shoulder pain in a dream signifies bad earnings. Stomach pain in a dream means spending money in sin and feeling regret for doing so. Key The key symbolizes access to learning, especially the Holy Quran. It also means benefits, a safe, blessings, and support. Keys could refer as well to children, boys, messengers, money and the piercing of mysteries, or the pilgrimage to Mecca (Makkah). Other interpretations include the man and the woman, the former penetrating the latter like the key in the keyhole, the wrapped up baby, and the dead in his grave.
• Holding a key: God will respond to the dreamer’s prayers.

Sheep • A ram horning the vagina of a woman: She will cut off her pubic hair, using a pair of scissors.
• Seizing a ram’s horn: Will become invincible.
• Taking ram wool: Will obtain money from an honest man.
• Taking the tail of ram: Will handle the affairs of some noble people, will inherit money, or will marry the daughter of high-class people.
• Taking the entrails of a ram: Will seize the safe of an honest man who has something to do with the ram dreamed of.
• Ram and ewe grease, milk, skin, and wool: Money and welfare.

Death • Death of the king: The country will be lost.
• Death of the imam (Muslim spiritual leader): (1) Havoc in the city or country. (2) Loss of the dreamer’s religious faith.
• Death of a ulema (Muslim religious scholar): No more learning or Islamic Law in that place.
• Death of either parent: Will deteriorate materially and/or spiritually.
• Death of the father: Quandary regarding the dreamer’s livelihood.
• Death of the mother: (1) Worries and sorrow. (2) Aims will not be fulfilled.

Crucifixion • Being crucified alive: Dignity, honour, and religious righteousness.
• Being crucified and dead: Prestige coupled with corrupt religious faith.
• Being crucified and killed or after being killed: Prestige, but the dreamer will be lied to.
• Being crucified without remembering when that happened: (1) Lost money will come back. (2) If the dreamer is poor, will get rich. (3) Bad omen for the rich (according to some interpreters). Fish If the sea opens and unveils its treasures, and if one catches a goldfish from its belly in the dream, it means that Allah Almighty will reveal new spiritual knowledge to him in order to help him understand his religion and to receive guidance. If the goldfish leaves his hand and returns to the sea in the dream, it means that he will join the company of righteous people and saints from whom he will learn about the inner spiritual knowledge, or that he will find a good companion for a journey he intends. If one eats a fish without cleaning or cooking it in a dream, it means that he will speak ill of his own friends, slander his associates, commit adultery, acquire money from trickery and falsehood, or become inflicted with a dangerous disease or suffer from a stroke. If one sees fish on the shore rather than in the water in a dream, it means that he may change his profession. The different types of fish in a dream represent human beings and their professions. A fish in a dream also could mean that death will take place where it is found, because of the departure of its soul, its stench, weight and one's responsibility to bury the deceased. Market • Stealing or cheating in buying and selling: Will indulge in the worst kind of theft, like that involving people’s bread. If a mujahid—involved in Jihad—will be caught and chained. If a pilgrim, will conquer the heart of a woman and enjoy making love to her. If a scholar, will give bad counsel, will pray the wrong way, will prostrate himself before the imam does, et cetera.
• Seeing a specific market full of people but with fire in it or a spring in its midst or seeing a nice breeze blowing in it or its shops filled with chopped straw: Good earnings for the merchants, but hypocrisy as well.
• The market looking empty and its people dead or the merchants feeling sleepy or looking dormant or the shops closed and cobwebs appearing here and there, even on the commodities: Stagnation and recession.

Slave • Freeing a slave: Sacrifice. Hence a man dreaming that he has been set free from slavery will be the object of a sacrifice.
• An indebted free person or one who has committed some sin dreaming that he has been set free from slavery: God will come to his rescue, or he will repent.
• A bondsman dreaming that he has been set free: (1) The possible death of his master or himself. (2) If ill, will die. (3) Fewer benefits. (4) If the master was a renegade or a disbeliever, he will repent or embrace Islam and be safe from Hell’s inferno.

Love (Beloved; Enamored; Honey; Hostage; Lover; Platonic love) Love in a dream means trials and temptations. If one does something he loves in a dream, it means that he will engage in an act that has no limitations. If a man says to woman; " I love you, " in a dream, it means that he truly hates her. If one sees himself indulging and satisfying every desire he has and without feeling any restrictions in the dream, it means that he will stray from Allah's path and lives a corrupt life. Love in a dream also means distress, worries and sorrow. Love in a dream also represents one's ability to express something. Otherwise, it could mean that he keeps to himself. Love in a dream also means trials and fame that incurs people's compassion for the person in love. Love in a dream also means poverty, sickness and death. Adultery • Having sex with an adulteress: Will make illegal or sinful gains or will really commit adultery. (According to a verse in the Holy Quran, only an adulterer would have sex with an adulteress (“Suratul Nur” [Light], verse 03.) If ejaculation has followed, the person should wash thoroughly.
• Seeing people going out of their way to an adulteress: Those people will concur with or benefit from the views of a learned or wise man.
• Committing adultery with a beautiful young woman: The dreamer is putting his money in a safe place.

Mule • A woman seeing Musa: Her son is in danger of being lost or facing some hard test, but will be safe.
• A boy child seeing Musa: Danger of perdition and hardships, but will escape unharmed.
• Seeing oneself in the image of Musa or wearing his clothes: (1) If a ruler plagued by an enemy, will triumph over that enemy and fulfil his aspirations. (2) If a prisoner or someone in difficulty on land or at sea, will trade successfully.
• Seeing Musa's stick: Triumph of the believers and defeat of the atheists.

Madhouse See Asylum. MADINAH.
• Being in Madinah, the city of the Muslims Holy Prophet: (1) Will have the best of two worlds. (2) Will escape danger. (3) Will be relieved from worries. (4) Will be safe and secure. (5) Will repent and be pardoned by God. (6) Will have or enjoy mercy. (7) Will live nicely. (8) Will be reunited with loved ones. (9) Aspirations will be fulfilled.

Swim • Swimming in a valley till reaching the desired spot: Will serve and obey a tyrant and God will protect the dreamer.
• Swimming well in the high seas or in the deep: Will embark on an ambitious mission and rise.
• Being afraid while swimming: Will be jailed or get ill inasmuch as the dreamer covered a long distance. If he thinks (in the same dream) that he has escaped danger, he will die in such an ordeal. Courage means that he will really be safe.
• Swimming on the back: Will cease to indulge in sins and repent.

Kill • Killing a person: (1) Will do something terrible. (2) Will be safe from fatal trouble, in view of a verse in the Holy Quran applying to Moses: “… And thou didst kill a man and We delivered thee from great distress….” (Ta-Ha,” verse 40.)
• Killing oneself: (1) Welfare. (2) Repentance at the hands of a good counsellor, owing to the Quranic verse: “And when Moses said unto his people: O my people! Ye have wronged yourselves by your choosing of the calf (for worship,) so turn in penitence to your Creator, and kill (the guilty) yourself.
