Knot Tying a knot with a thread in a dream means asserting one's intention, or stipulating one's plan, or it could mean sorcery and an evil spell. If one sees himself tying a rope or a thread around a pouch or a bag and could not open it again, and if an unknown person comes by and unties the knot in the dream, it means distress, stress, uptightness, or suffering from political persecution, or financial adversities that will be lifted unexpectedly by Allah's leave. Fish If one sees fish that have the look of human beings in a dream, it means business, trading or meeting with an interpreter, or a translator, or associating with people of good character. If such fish with a human face look beautiful, then one's companions are good. Otherwise, if the fish look ugly in the dream, then it means that he has associated himself with evil companions. If one sees an aquarium in his house filled with all types of catfish, or angelfish or similar fish that live in a home aquarium in a dream, it means being charitable or taking care of orphans or adopting children. If one sees himself reaching with his hand to the bottom of the seabed to catch fish in a dream, it means that he will acquire extensive knowledge in his profession and prosper from his trade. Clothes A man told Ibn Siren, “I dreamed that I bought an ornamented cloth of the best silk, which was folded up. Tree Ancient Arab dream interpreters said that whereas the tree referred to the man’s deeds, religion, or ego, its leaves symbolizes his character, its beauty his nice shape and clothing, its branches his brothers, relatives, folk, and beliefs, its heart his hidden essence and his secrets, its bark his appearance, skin, and all that he uses to adorn himself with, and its semen his faith, piety, assets, and life. Incident - meaning of Generosity Then he saw Husain Al-Hallaj sitting on a seat made from gold and encrusted with jewels and sapphires. He also saw the scholars who signed the decree to kill Al-Hallaj standing before him with humiliation. It seemed to him as though God Almighty asked Al-Hallaj : "What do want Me to do with these people?" Al-Hallaj replied: "Lord, I ask Thee to forgive them all." Fire of the World A fire in a particular town, suburb or house which is situated on arid land, and such a fire gives off violent, blazing flames destroying anything in its path ,and it also gives off thunderous, frightening sounds, then such a dream is a bad omen that repression and oppression will become the order of the day in that place where the fire had been seen. If the place is not arid, it means epidemic, pleurisy or smallpox will break out there or many deaths will occur. Incident - seeing a battle between the Sun and the Moon Omar asked: "When you became a star in the dream, did you fight on the side of the sun or that of the moon?" The man replied: "I fought on the side of the moon." Omar replied: "Go away, and do not work for me." Jinn Accompanying Jinn in a dream means familiarity with, and keeping the company of men of knowledge, or people of inner knowledge. If one marries a female from amongst the Jinn in a dream, it means that he will marry an insolent wife, or that he may suffer a great calamity. If a righteous person sees himself chaining Jinn in a dream, it means that he holds fast to his prayers, fasting, controls his carnal self and base desires. Engaging in a battle with Jinn in a dream means that one will be safe from their evil. To befriend a known leader from amongst the Jinn in a dream means becoming a police officer and make it one's profession to pursue criminals and bandits. It also could mean that one might become a guided man of knowledge or a teacher. Vineyard Plucking a bunch of grapes from an espalier in a dream means spending one's money on a woman. Fountainhead If the water is pure and clean in the dream, it means depression along with a strong and a healthy body. What is disliked in such dreams is the murky water. If one owns a stream in a dream, it represents one's livelihood, his shop, business, work, or one's good deeds that remain beneficial even after his death and until the Day of Judgment such as a blessed progeny, a school or a mosque he builds, a road he opens, a book of knowledge he leaves behind, or a charitable endowment. An Unfamiliar Camel If an unknown, ugly camel is seen appearing in an area of city or village it means either an enemy will make his appearance in that place or that place will be devastated by floods, plague or disease. Horse If one sees a horse whose owner is not known entering a town in a dream, it means that a noble person will enter that town and people of his trade will fear his competition or his becoming a danger to their business. If such a horse reverts his course and leaves that town in the dream, it means that a great, though unknown person from that locality will die shortly. Horses running across the streets in a dream represent a destructive rain or devastating floods. A feeble horse in a dream represents the weakness of his owner. Incident - The moon entering the planet Taurus It is reported that once, while Ibn Sirin (RA) was having his lunch,a lady came to him and informed him that she had seen a dream. When he asked her to relate it she said: “Not until you have finished your meal”. After having had his meal, she said; “I saw the moon entering the planet Taurus and a voice from behind me said to me: Go to Ibn Sirin and relate to him your dream!. Incident - The two pearls A woman came to Imam Ibn Sirin and said: "I saw two pearls in my lap in a dream. One was bigger than the other. Then my sister came and asked me to give her one of them, so I gave her the smaller pearl." Imam Ibn Sirin replied: 'You spoke the truth. You have learned two chapters from the Holy Qur'an. The Prophet Muhammad's (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) Drinking A Bowl Of Milk Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar: I heard Prophet Muhammad saying, "While I was sleeping, I saw a bowl full of milk was brought to me and I drank of it (to my fill) till I noticed its wetness flowing (in my body). Then I gave the remaining of it to 'Umar." They asked, "O Prophet Muhammad! What have you interpreted (about the dream)? He said, "(It is Religious) knowledge." Incident - Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) drinking glass of milk Abdullah the son of Omar, God be pleased with them, reported: "I heard Prophet Muhammad, Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam, saying: 'I was given a glass of milk in a dream. I drank from it until I could see the quench reaching the tip of my fingers, then I gave what is left to Omar.' Abdullah asked: 'How did you interpret it, Prophet Muhammad?' He replied: 'Knowledge.'" Palm Tree The date palm symbolizes the knowledgeable man and his children, tribe, or folk. It specifically refers to a noble, honest, and esteemed Arab who likes to benefit people, perhaps a scholar. It also means long life. However, the trunk of a palm is a bad augury. It symbolizes torture in view of a Quranic verse: “ (Pharaoh) said: Ye put faith in him before I give you leave. Lo! he is your chief who taught you magic. Now surely I shall cut off your hands and your feet alternately, and I shall crucify you on the trunks of palm tree, and ye shall know for certain which of us hath sterner and more lasting punishment.” (“Ta-Ha,” verse 71.) An Unknown Horse Seeing an unfamiliar horse which he does not own nor mounts means that he is a man of good repute and high honour. If he sees such a horse entering his neighbourhood or house it means a powerful and honourable person will make his appearance in that neighbourhood or house. If he sees such a horse leaving such a neghbourhood or house it means a man with same qualities mentioned above will leave the neighbourhood or house either by way of going away for good or death.
