Emptiness In a dream, emptiness represents the dwellings of a foreigner. It may also represent breach of contract, betrayal, death of a sick person, rest after exhaustion or peace after bewilderment. (Also see Deserted) Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Convent Same interpretation as for church. In addition:
• Seeing a convent: The end of trouble, worries, hardships, and unhappiness.

Tahayyat (arb. Testimonial greetings) The last segment of the regular Islamic prayers which is recited in a sitting posture. Once completed, one may ask for his personal needs or pray for others. If one reaches this segment of his prayer in a dream, it represents a condition or an agreement that must be fulfilled between two partners, or it could mean finding a guardian for one's intended wife (i.e., her father, uncle, brother, etcetera), without whom the marriage is not legitimate. Finger • The index finger being atrophied: A sister will die.
• The thumb being atrophied: The father will die.
• A man having four wives dreaming that four fingers were severed: All four will die.
• Cutting someone else’s fingers: Will wreak havoc on his money.
• The disappearance of the fingers: Servants will go.
• Chewing fingers: The end of a fortune.
• Contraction of the fingers: Will abandon or fail to sustain those female relatives with whom sex is prohibited in Islam (mother, sister, sister-in-law, et cetera). Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Maqam Ibrahim (The Station Of Abraham, Near The Kabah In Mecca (Makkah) The Quran says: “The First House (of worship) appointed for men was that at Bakka (Mecca (Makkah)): Full of blessings and of guidance for all kinds of beings. In it are Signs manifest; (for example), the Station of Abraham; whoever enters it attains security; pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to God” (“Al-Imran” [The Imran Family], verses 96–97.)

Ishaq • Seeing Is haq (Isaac) in his best shape: (1) Hardships on the part of highly authoritative people and relatives, followed by relief, dignity, and good tidings. Kings and chiefs will help increase the dreamer’s progeny. (2) A son who had severed his links with his parents will return to the father’s authority. (3) Abundance will replace financial difficulties.
• Seeing Is haq in bad shape: Will go blind.

Offering (Immolation; Sacrifice; Vow) In a dream, an offering represents the wife who is the delight of her husband, or the child who is the delight of his father. An offering in a dream also represents one's good deeds, although it also could mean trouble, adversities, enmity, dispute, fight, argument with one's family, an invasion, or profits from hunting. Amusement Diversion or amusement in a dream is a sign of glad tidings, recovery for the sick, prosperity for the poor, honor after humiliation, scientific advancement, higher position, or it could mean travel. (Also see Games) Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
House As for the door’s lock and handle they symbolize the wife or the servant. The supports of the door are the male children, the slaves or servants, or the brothers and assistants. For Ibn Siren, the keyhole is the dreamer’s ear, meaning probably the house servant who reports everything to the master. The unknown house is the Hereafter, especially if it has a revealing name like Darussalam (The House of Peace).
• A sick person seeing himself in an unknown house: Will die peacefully.
• A healthy person seeing himself in an unknown house: (1) Will go to Mecca (Makkah). (2) Will engage in Jihad or Holy Struggle. (3) Will become ascetic. (4) Will acquire learning. (5) Will endure hardships with stoicism. (6) Will give alms.
• Building a new house: (1) If ill, the dreamer will recover and become healthy. (2) If there is a sick person in the house, that person will recover, unless the dreamer is in the habit of burying the dead in his house, in which case the new house would mean the tomb of that patient. The same bad interpretation would apply if the house was built in an impossible place, if it was painted in white, or if funereal flowers were seen in the dream. (3) If a bachelor, the dreamer will get married. (4) The dreamer will find a husband for his daughter and let her stay with him, if the girl is old. (5) The dreamer will have a concubine. Repairing Repairing a broken jar or a utensil in a dream means correcting oneself, giving medicine to a sick person, or setting a broken bone. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Bismalah If a deceased person writes it in one's dream, it means that such a person dwells encompassed with Allah's mercy. If the one who wrote it in the dream is alive and if he erases it or if a bird steals it from him in the dream, it means the nearing of his death and exhaustion of his sustenance in this world. If one recites it during his prayers in a dream when it is not his custom to do so, it means borrowing an unnecessary amount of money or giving preference to leaning toward one's mother rather than his father or the opposite. Suppressing one's feelings If a sick person sees himself suppressing his feelings, or down-playing his pain and sufferings in a dream, it means that he will shortly recover from his ailment. (Also see Suppressing one's anger) Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Ismail (The prophet Ismail, son of the prophet Abraham, upon both of them be peace.) If one sees him in a dream, it means that he will gain clarity of speech and preside over his colleagues. He also may build a mosque, or participate in such a project. It also means that someone will make a promise and be truthful about fulfilling it. If one sees Ismail in a dream, it means that he may suffer at the hands of his father, then Allah Almighty will relief him from such sufferings or pain. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Back • Seeing the back of a middle-aged woman: The dreamer is running after a matter full of difficulties and which will not culminate in success.
• Seeing the back of a young woman: What is desired will be obtained a bit late.
• Backache: (1) Death of a brother. (2) Difficulties facing whomever the dreamer considers his life support, such as a father, a son, a chief, or a friend.

Mushrooms Eating mushrooms in a dream means longevity, recovering of a sick person from his illness, marriage of an unwed person, acquiring knowledge, guidance, money or a job. (Also see Food) Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Umar's Paradise Narrated Abu Huraira: We were sitting with Allah's Apostle (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) he said, "While I was sleeping, I saw myself in Paradise, and behold, a woman was performing ablution by the side of a palace. I asked, 'For whom is this palace?' They replied, 'For 'Umar' Then I remembered the Ghira of 'Umar and returned immediately." 'Umar wept (on hearing that) and said, " Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Allah's Apostle! How dare I think of my Ghira being offended by you.' Governors If a governor sees himself hearing a petition from a deranged person, a stupid person, a street sweeper, a baker, a trash collector, a servant, a dancer or a musician in a dream, it means that the governor will consent to the opinions or advice of others in his ruling, or perhaps he will lean toward the interests of some opportunists. A governor in a dream also represents a father or a mother who teach their children justice and righteousness and in turn, the child will benefit from them and particularly if he follows their advice. A Most Unpleasant Dream If the Holy Prophet (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) is seen as physically deformed or sick or dead then this is a very unpleasant dream. Umar's Paradise Narrated Abu Huraira: We were sitting with Allah's Apostle (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam), he said, "While I was sleeping, I saw myself in Paradise. Suddenly I saw a woman performing ablution beside a palace. I asked, "For whom is this palace?" They (the angels) replied, "It is for 'Umar bin Al-Khattab." Then I remembered 'Umar's ghira and went back hurriedly." On hearing that, 'Umar started weeping and said, " Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you. O Allah's Apostle! Madness Madness alludes to many things, foremost among which is love passion. It also refers to beating and, conversely, to good deeds.
• Being insane: (1) The dreamer will obtain as much money as he appeared mad, but will spend beyond his means with the help of an evil companion. (2) The dreamer will inherit clothes. (3) The dreamer will wield tremendous power or become a ruler, if eligible. (4) The dreamer will go to Paradise.
• A little boy going mad: He will bring his father a fortune and make him rich.
