Jacob Seeing Allah's prophet Jacob (Alayhi-Salam) in a dream also means business, travels, rising prices, stashing merchandise then revealing it. If a woman sees Jacob's wife in a dream, it means that she will be stripped of her wealth and become subject of defamation, though again, the conclusion of her case will turn positive. It also could mean the imprisonment of one of her children. If a sick person sees her in a dream, it means that he will recover by Allah's mercy and grace, since her name was " Rahma " (Mercy). Incident - Abdullah bin Omar wanting to see a dream Abdullah bin Omar, God be pleased with both of them, related that in his youth, he wished to see a true dream and to hear its interpretation from Prophet Muhammad, Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam. Incident - Cutting off family ties Bishr bin Abi Al-'Aliya said: "I asked Muhammad about someone who saw his jaws fall out in a dream." He replied: 'This is someone who has cut off his ties with his family." Here again, Prophet Muhammad went to the origin, and in this case, it is one's teeth. In Islam, breaking relations with one's family is considered a major sin. Jubair Ibn Mut'in reported that Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) has said: "One who breaks his family ties will not enter paradise." A Rope Coming From The Sky Abu Hurairah narrated that a man came to the Prophet Muhammad and said: "I had a dream of a cloud with shade dripping butter and honey. I saw the people scooping it up with their hands, some taking much and some taking little. I saw a rope extending from the sky to the earth. Then I saw you Prophet Muhammad! You took hold of it and went up, then a man took hold of it after you do so, then a man took hold of it after him to do so. Then a man took hold of it and it was severed, and then connected for him, and he did so (i.e. , went up)." Abu Bakr said: "May my father and mother be ransomed for you O Messenger of Allah! Allow me to interpret it." He said: "Interpret it." so he said: "As for the cloud with its shade, it is Islam. As for what the butter and honey that dropped from it, this is the Quran and its delicateness and sweetness. It means some of them gathered much of the Quran and some of them a little. As for the rope extending from the sky to the earth, it is the truth which you are upon, you clug to it and Allah exalted you. Then another man will take hold of it after you and ascend on it, then after him, another man will take hold of it and ascend on it. Then another [man] will take hold of it but it will break, then be connected so he will ascend on it. Inform me O Messenger of Allah! Am I correct or am I mistaken?" The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said: "You are correct in some of it and mistaken in some of it." He (i.e., Abu Bakr) said: "I swear to you by my father and my mother O Prophet Muhammad! Malik (The archangel Malik; The guardian of hell-fire) Seeing the archangel Malik in a dream means standing before a policeman or a police commissioner for questioning. If he smiles in the dream, it means that one will be saved from imprisonment. If a sick person sees such a dream, it means that he may die shortly. If one becomes the archangel Malik, or eats something sweet from his hand in a dream, it denotes that one is a true follower on the path of Allah Almighty and His Prophet, Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam. House (Cage; Dwellings) In a dream, one's house holds different meanings. One of them is the wife. If one sees himself entering his house in a dream, it means that he will get married, or have sexual intercourse with his wife. Building one's own house in a dream means that a sick person will recover from his illness. If such construction is hard and if it is customary in that family to bury its dead within the compound of the same property, then it means the death of a sick person in the family. If no one is sick in that house and the construction is accompanied with music and celebrations in the dream, then it means adversities, trials and hardships. Aba As-Sa'ib Dying Righteously Narrated Kharija bin Zaid bin Thabit: Um Al-'Ala an Ansari woman who had given the Pledge of allegiance to Allah's Apostle said, "'Uthman bin Maz'un came in our share when the Ansars drew lots to distribute the emigrants (to dwell) among themselves, He became sick and we looked after (nursed) him till he died. Then we shrouded him in his clothes. Allah's Apostle (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) came to us, I (addressing the dead body) said, "May Allah's Mercy be on you, O Aba As-Sa'ib! I testify that Allah has honored you." The Prophet said, 'How do you know that?' I replied, 'I do not know, by Allah.' He said, 'As for him, death has come to him and I wish him all good from Allah. By Allah, though I am Allah's Apostle, I neither know what will happen to me, nor to you.'" Um Al-'Ala said, "By Allah, I will never attest the righteousness of anybody after that." She added, "Later I saw in a dream, a flowing spring for 'Uthman. So I went to Allah's Apostle and mentioned that to him. Asylum • Being in the asylum amid sick people: Will go to jail for some legal matters.
• Being in the asylum with the mad: Will be imprisoned with criminals.
• A person in good health dreaming of being in a sanatorium: Will be ill.
• A sick person dreaming of being in a madhouse: (1) Prolonged illness. (2) Will die estranged, abroad, or as a martyr. Joseph (Allah's prophet Joseph, Alayhi-Salam; arb. Yusuf) Seeing Allah's prophet Joseph (Alayhi-Salam) in a dream means attaining high rank or a vice-regency. Seeing him (Alayhi-Salam) in a dream also could denote a time of rising prices, drought, loss of one's family, or suffering from people's stratagem, entering a prison, then be released by Allah's grace. It also denotes one's luck with women and adversities related to one's beauty and good character. Lieing About A Dream Abu 'Abdur-Rahman(As-Sulami) narrated from 'Ali and I think he said: " From the Prophet(s.a.w), who said: "Whoever lies about his dream, he will be required to knot barely kernels on the Day of Judgement." (another chain) from Abu 'Abdur-Rahman As-Sulami who narrated from 'Ali from the Prophet with similar narrations. Drummer In a dream, a drummer represents festivities and joy. If a drummer visits a sick person in a dream, it means that the latter will shortly die and that drums will play at his funeral. Aqiq • One Aqiq stone: (1) Return of an absent one. (2) Recovery of a sick person. (3) The freeing of a prisoner. (4) More faith and the abiding by the Holy Prophet’s Tradition.
• One bead: A friend who has nobody to support him.
• Many beads: Illicit gains.
• Dreaming of Aqiq and of doing, at the same time, something prohibited, such as slaughtering a pig or presenting people with pork or dead meat while aware of the sinful character of such an act: The dreamer is ungrateful to his parents and to God, in view of the resemblance of the word Aqiq to oqooq, which in Arabic conveys that meaning of ingratitude.
• Being given Aqiq: Will follow the example of the donor. Losing it means the reverse. Owning plenty of aqiq: Money and general welfare, as much as was seen.
