Supplication If one sees a group of people gathering in a circle of prayers, or doing Zikr and invoking the divine attributes in a dream, then they represent a gathering of children, growth, blessings, or waiving away sufferings. If one sees himself praying to Allah Almighty, or that prayers are invoked on his behalf in a dream, it means happiness and money. Supplications in Allah's house or in a mosque in a dream are more beneficial than prayers which are offered anywhere else. If one prays in the dark in a dream, it means that he will be saved from trials. If one sees himself imploring another person in a dream, it means that he fears him. Owl An owl in a dream also represents a person without steadfastness or determination to do what is right. If an owl falls inside his house in a dream, it means news of someone's death. An owl also represents thieves hiding in the darkness and under the shade of ruins, and of being annoyed about having to make an effort to earn one's livelihood. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Smelling an apple Smelling an apple inside a mosque in a dream means getting married. If a woman sees herself smelling an apple during a reception in a dream, it denotes her misconduct, and that she could commit an abominable sin during that same evening. Incident - A bull coming out of a small rock A man said to Imam Ibn Sirin: "I saw a big bull coming out of a small rock, and I shook hands with him in a dream. The bull then wanted to return inside the rock, but he couldn't." Ibn Sirin replied: "Indeed; sometimes a man may say a big word, then regrets what he had said, though he cannot change it." Incident - Ibrahim AI-Khurab saw Bishir Al-Hafi Ibrahim AI-Khurab once said: "I saw Bishir Al-Hafi in a dream. It seemed as though he was leaving the Mosque of Rasafa. As he walked away from the mosque, the sleeve of his shirt looked weighty, and something kept on moving inside it. I asked him: 'What did God Almighty do to you?' Resurrection If one sees himself carrying the scale to weigh his own deeds in a dream, it denotes his righteousness and correctness. If one sees an angel handing him his records and telling him to read his own book in the dream, it also means that he is on the right path. Walking on the bridge of the Day of Judgment, carrying one's own records and crying in a dream means that one is praying for Allah's forgiveness and to ease his reckoning. If one sees the Doomsday in a dream, it means that he will escape from dangerous enemies, or that perhaps a major trial will befall the dwellers of that place. If one crosses the Bridge of Judgement in a dream, it means that he will escape a major trial, or perhaps it could represent a major hurdle one may have to cross in this life. Vegetable • Collecting a bunch of legumes from one’s garden or backyard: Evil and rupture on the part of a group of female relatives.
• A vegetable plant growing in arid land or in a place in which such herbs cannot possibly grow, especially if it is in a house or a mosque: An allusion to a man. Seen inside a house, a vegetable means that such a man will marry someone from the family. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Mecca Seeing oneself in Mecca and residing in the lodge one usually uses in a dream means extension of one's contract, or reappointment at a previously held position. If Mecca becomes one's home in a dream, it means that he may move to live there. Seeing oneself in Mecca mixing with departed souls in a dream means that one will die as a martyr. Visiting the holy Kabah in Mecca during a business trip in a dream means concern and attachment to material gains and worldly profits. Walking on the road to Mecca in a dream means going on a pilgrimage. If one sees Mecca fertile in a dream, it means benefits, and if he sees it barren in a dream, it means the opposite. Canopy (Pavilion; Tent) Setting up a pavilion in the open air to sit under it in a dream means gaining power and dominion. A canopy in a dream also means visiting the graves of martyrs and praying for them, or to die in their state. Folding a canopy in a dream means losing one's power and dominion, or it could mean nearing the end of one's life. Walking out from under a canopy in a dream means losing some of one's power or business. Walking out from under a canopy in a dream also signifies trueness of one's heart and intention, or earning the station of a martyr through one's true devotion, or it could mean visiting the Sacred House in Jerusalem. Call For Prayer (Arabic: Athan) • A child launching the prayer call: His parents will be innocent from calumnies, by analogy with the story and origin of Jesus Christ.
• Launching the praying call in a bathroom: Bad dream on both the spiritual and material planes. It could mean that the dreamer is a pimp.
• Crying for prayers in the “hot house”23: Will have a shaking fever. Crying for prayers in the “cold house”: Will have a fever.
• Launching the athan at the gate of the ruler: Will speak the truth.
• Calling for prayer while clad indecently or showing one’s underwear: Will penetrate a woman.
• Someone launching the athan in a souk (marketplace): Someone in that souk will pass away.
• Hearing an unpleasant athan: Someone is inviting the dreamer to indulge in vice and abominations. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Crow • Seeing a crow at the king’s gate: Will commit a crime and will feel sorry or will kill one’s brother, then repent in view of a verse in the Holy Quran about Cain and Abel: “Then Allah sent a crow scratching up the ground, to show him how to hide his brother’s naked corpse. He said: Woe unto me! Am I not able to be as this raven and so hide my brother’s naked corpse? And he became repentant.” (“Al-Maidah” [The Table Spread], verse 31.)
• Being scratched by crows: (1) Will freeze to death. (2) Will be slandered by unscrupulous persons and suffer tremendously.
• A crow standing on the Kabah, the Muslims holiest shrine in Mecca (Makkah): A debauchee will marry an honest woman.
• Seeing a crow in one’s house: (1) A man is betraying the dreamer by sleeping with his wife. (2) The ruler or one of his men will enter the dreamer’s house against his will or storm it. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Duck If a duck speaks to someone in a dream, it means that he will be raised in honor by a woman. It also represents comfort and satisfaction in one's life which comes from eating its flesh and the parable of its dependence on water is like that of sailors and fishermen and because of its gentleness. However, if someone hears the quacking of a duck inside his house in a dream, it means difficulties in that place, or an announcement of someone's death. Circumambulation (Ambulate; Kabah; Mecca; Walk around) If a sinner sees himself circumambulating Allah's House in Mecca in a dream, it means that he will be freed from suffering in hell-fire. If one is unmarried, it means that he will get married. If one qualifies for promotion, it means that he will receive it. Seeing oneself performing a pilgrimage in a dream also means circumambulating Allah's house in Mecca, developing a good character, living a straight and a worthy life, safety from fear, repayment of one's debts, delivering entrusted merchandise to their rightful owners or money to its people on demand, being trustworthy, living an ascetic life, fulfilling a promise, atonement for one's sins, distributing expiatory gifts or interceding on behalf of a trustworthy and a noble Imam. Incident - A Bird Flying Off Chest A man said to a dream interpreter: "I saw a bird flying off from my chest, then I sought my mother who hid me inside her garment." The interpreter replied: "If your dream is true, then it means your death. The bird represents your soul, and your hiding in your mother's robe means your burial. Stomach The stomach in a dream also represents the plains of a valley. It also can be interpreted as one's tribal belonging or a branch of his lineage. Entering a stomach in a dream means travels, imprisonment, or returning home from one of the two. If one sees himself inside the womb of his mother while he is travelling in a foreign land in a dream, it means that he will return to his motherland to die and be buried there. Pouch Entrusting someone with a pouch filled with money in a dream means confiding a secret to him. If the pouch looks good, then one's secret is important. If not, then the secret is useless. Pearl diver Seeing a pearl diver in a dream also means seeking to learn about something, or seeking to borrow money from a merchant, or asking someone in authority for an important appointment, or it could mean adventuring into the business of treasure hunting. A pearl diver in a dream also represents someone who knows the inside secrets of things, or he could be a scholar, a gnostic, a seeker on the path, or an interpreter of the true meanings of the early prophetic teachings. Fishing net In a dream, a fishing net represents trickery, deception, profits, knowledge, realizing one's hope, and victory over one's enemies if one owns a fishing net. If one sees himself entrapped inside a fishing net, it means that he may be jailed or fall to sickness or marry a rebellious wife, or it could mean money, or a child that will preoccupy him. Lion Sleeping beside a lion in a dream means safety from illness, or protection from one's enemy. If one sees a lion inside his own house in a dream, it means that he will gain the upper hand, or it could represent longevity and a high position in the world. Tree The tree symbolizes religion and sects in view of the allegory in the Holy Quran of the good tree (date palm) and the good words: “Seest thou not how Allah coineth a similitude: A goodly saying, as a goodly tree, its roots set firm, branches reaching into Heaven.” (“Ibrahim” [Abraham], verse 24.) Likewise, the Muslims Holy Prophet likened the good tree to the Muslim. The one he saw himself holding in a spiritual odyssey,52 he said, was the duty of praying, which he had brought to his followers. Ancient Arab dream interpreters said that whereas the tree referred to the man’s deeds, religion, or ego, its leaves symbolizes his character, its beauty his nice shape and clothing, its branches his brothers, relatives, folk, and beliefs, its heart his hidden essence and his secrets, its bark his appearance, skin, and all that he uses to adorn himself with, and its semen his faith, piety, assets, and life.
