River If a poor person sees a river flowing inside his house in a dream, it means that he will drive a member of his household out of his house because of an abominable and a sinful act, or adultery. A river in a dream also means a good deed or a regular income. A river with murky and putrid waters in a dream represents hell-fire. Seeing one of the heavenly rivers of paradise in a dream means prosperity. The heavenly river of milk in a dream represents Allah's gift of the innate knowledge and criterion which is given to His creation, and it represents submission to His sovereignty and obedience to His commands. Seeing the heavenly river of non-intoxicating wine in a dream mean s elation and intoxication from one's love for Allah Almighty. Mare • A horseman stepping down from a mare for some adventitious matter and keeping back without unsaddling her: His wife has her menses, and he will stay away from her temporarily. But if he had stepped down to ride another mare, he will have a second woman. If he had turned his face after stepping down, he would stay away from his wife for some time. If, after stepping down, he pissed blood, he is indulging in adultery (because, according to the ancient Arabs, the soil [earth] is a woman and pissing is sex, while blood symbolizes what is prohibited).

Camel • Owning or riding a she-camel: (1) If a bachelor, will get married. (2) If planning to travel, the journey will take place. (3) Will own some land or a house, et cetera.
• A she-camel giving milk in a mosque or an agricultural field: A fertile year to come. If people are scared or besieged, or if there is some intrigue or heresy in the air, all those things would disappear, as the she-camel milk represents normalcy in adoring God and observing the Tradition of the Holy Prophet.

Home The distinction is very vague in Arabic between the words dar and bayt, both meaning “house” or “home.” But after consulting a knowledgeable colleague (a Moroccan ambassador and man of letters), the author assumes that dar is more likely to mean a house as a structure or an apartment block and bayt a room, an apartment, or simply home. However, in the ancient Arab texts the writer often jumps from one meaning to another, and I have taken real pain trying to disentangle them, as usual. Home symbolizes the man’s wife sheltered under his roof and to whom he goes, whence the expression “He went home.” Therefore, home and wife are synonyms. The door is her vagina or her face, the closet or the safe a maiden, like the dreamer’s daughter, whom he does not penetrate, as they are covered or hidden places in which he does not sleep. The servants quarters symbolize the servant (s). The place where cereals are stored is the mother, who used to keep the dreamer alive and let him grow by feeding him milk. The toilet represents those servants who are in charge of cleaning and washing or the dreamer’s wife, whom he embraces and penetrates when isolated, i.e., away from his children and the rest of the household. Snot • Putting snots in another man’s house: Will have legal (marriage) or illegal sex with a woman living under his roof.
• Putting snots in another man’s bedding: Will betray him with his wife. Putting snots in his handkerchief means the dreamer will have sex with his servant.
• A woman taking the dreamer’s snots: She will entice and deceive him and become pregnant against his will.
• Washing away someone else’s snot: The dreamer is trying to conceal the adultery of a friend, but to no avail.
• Eating one’s snot: Eating up the money of his children.
• Eating someone else’s snot: Eating up the money of somebody’s children.
• Mucus flowing from the nose: Will have children who will resemble him.

Vomit If one swallows a pearl then throws up honey in his dream, it means that he will render a correct interpretation of some Quranic verses. Drinking milk then vomiting it in a dream means turning away from the truth. Drinking milk and vomiting honey in a dream means repentance from sin. Drinking blood in a dream then vomiting it as milk also means repentance from sin. If one's vomit is yellow and bitter in taste in the dream, it means repentance after having paid the price of one's crime. If one vomits mucus in his dream, it means that he will voluntarily repent from wrongdoing. Throwing up food in a dream means giving away something to someone who needs it. Swallowing what one is throwing up before it leaves his mouth in a dream means to go back on one's word. Eating what one has just vomited in a dream means prosperity and fame. Holy Book Reading from the Holy Book before Allah's Prophet, Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam, in a dream means that one will commit himself to memorizing it. Eating the pages of the Holy Book in a dream means accepting bribes. If a layman eats the pages of the Holy Book, or few lines from some pages in a dream, it means that he earns his livelihood from reciting the Holy Quran or teaching it. Grocer (Butter; Cheese shop; Ghee; Milk products) A grocer selling any milk products represents a gnostic, a man of great knowledge, a well known man of piety and good deeds who shares his knowledge, wisdom and wealth with others. Seeing a grocer in a dream also could mean marriage for an unwed person with a wealthy and beautiful woman. A grocer also represents a rich person who sustains those who live near him or follow him. Then 'Umar bin Al-Khattab was shown to me and he was wearing a shirt which he was dragging (behind him)." They asked. What have you interpreted (about the dream)? O Prophet Muhammad?" The Prophet Muhammad's (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) Seeing People Barely Covered Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri: Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) said, "While I was sleeping, some people were displayed before me (in a dream). They were wearing shirts, some of which were merely covering their breasts, and some a bit longer. Then there passed before me, 'Umar bin Al-Khattab wearing a shirt he was dragging it (on the ground behind him.)" Semen If the husband sees a thick yellowish fluid flowing from his wife's sexual organ in a dream, it means that she will give birth to an unhealthy child. If a reddish fluid flows instead in the dream, it represents a short lived child. If it comes out as a black fluid in the dream, it means that such a child will grow to dominate the family and to be an unjust master of the household. The ovum of a beautiful woman in a dream means happiness, wealth and children. Semen in a dream also means attaining one's goal, comfort, or wasting one's capital, divulging one's secrets, or the death of a child. Lion The lion is a ruler, a tyrant, or a powerful and very dangerous person, in view of the ferocity and devastating anger of that animal. It also symbolizes the warrior, the swindler, the thief, the treacherous worker, the policeman, the insatiable enemy, and perhaps hardships and death, because he who stares at it turns pale, loses his self-control, and is as good as dead, says Ibn Siren. Furthermore, it represents the ruler who embezzles public funds and commits injustice and the lurking enemy. The lioness symbolizes the daughter of a king. The baby lion (lion’s whelp or cub) is a boy. A man told Ibn Siren, “I dreamed that I was embracing and nursing a baby lion.” When the great seer looked at him, saw his humble appearance and miserable garments, and understood that he could not be eligible for any honour, he said, “What could you possibly have to do with the children of princes?!” and he added, “Is your wife, by chance, breast-feeding the son of a prince?” “Yes,” was the reply. Incident - Omar's robe dragging Abu Sa'id Al-Khjdr'i, God be pleased with him, reported that Prophet Muhammad, Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam, has said: "While in my sleep, I saw people presented before me, most of whom wore a garment that covered down to their breast. Toilet To fall into a toilet in a dream means imprisonment. Pouring honey or milk into the toilet bowl, or urinating blood in a dream means sodomizing. Looking into the toilet bowl and finding blood in it in a dream implies that one engages in the forbidden sexual intercourse with his wife during her menstrual period. Bier The bier symbolizes a good man who has helped many people repent.
• Seeing a bier: Mean people will be destroyed by a hypocrite.
• Seeing oneself on a bier: (1) Money will increase. (2) Will befriend other Muslims as if they were brothers, in view of the fact that the bier is a kind of bed or couch—the same Arabic expression used in the Quranic verse that reads: “And We remove whatever rancor may be in their breasts. As brethren, face to face, (they rest) on couches raised.” (“Al-Hijr,” verse 47.)

Incident - Fly Coming Out Of Nose A man was asleep when his friend brought an open pitcher of milk and a water melon. The friend then cut a piece of the water melon and placed the milk and the pitcher beside his friend's pillow with the knife on top of the pitcher. He then sat down and waited for him to wake up. When the man woke up, he told his friend an amazing dream. He said: "I saw as though a type of fly came out of my nose, and it stood over a knife before reentering my nose. Camel • Watching Arab camels: Will rule over an Arab province.
• Taking camel wool: Lasting money.
• Watching two camels fighting: War will break out between two kings or great men.
• Eating the head of a camel raw: Will slander or backbite a great man.
• Milking a camel: Money from a king or an influential person. If blood comes out instead of milk, illicit gains.
• Milking a she-camel: Work will pay.
• Chewing camel milk: Humiliation.

Porridge (Gruel) In a dream, porridge means travel by land, abstinence, piety and fear of wrongdoing. Eating porridge in a dream means release from prison, attaining a high ranking position, finding a lost property, or having excellent religious standing. Porridge is mostly made from flour and milk. The flour comes out of grinding. The milk emanates from the udders of an animal and the porridge is cooked on fire, thus all three can be interpreted according to their individual meaning. Milking Milking a cow in a dream represents a demanding employer. Milking a goat may mean good neighborly relations, toadying, diplomacy, or seeking to earn one's livelihood. If an employee sees himself milking a cow or a goat in a dream, it means that he will marry his employer's wife. If a poor person sees himself milking a goat or a cow and drinking her milk in a dream, it means financial stability. If he is rich, it means that he will rise in station.
