Dye (Color; Expose; Hair; Henna; Hide; Gray hair) Applying henna or a dye to one's hair or hands in a dream represents a pharmacist, celebrations, glad tidings, tenderness, or it could mean compassion. Dyeing one's hair in a dream also means veiling or protecting one's personal life and that of others. To dye the gray hair of one's beard in a dream means ostentatiousness and adorning one's merchandise or deeds to make them look better than reality. Dyeing one's hair in a dream also connotes a display of blessings and favors, or it could mean dictating one's conditions to his enemy, if the person is in such position. However, if not, it means difficulties, aggravation, distress, debts or dropping off one's ties with those who love him. Beard A white beard in a dream means honor, dignity and good fame. If one's beard turns gray, leaving few black hairs in the dream, it means earning respect. If all its hair becomes gray in the dream, it means poverty and loss of integrity. Seeing one's wife having a beard in a dream means increase in one's wealth or growth of the bond business, or sickness of one's wife, or it could mean that she will no longer be able to conceive children, though if she had a son, it means that he will control the entire family. If a woman sees herself having a beard in a dream, it means losing her husband and if she is a widow, it means that she will marry a hard-working man who is compatible with her. If a pregnant woman sees that in a dream, it means that she will beget a son, and if she has a quarrel with someone, it means that she will win the battle and stand for herself with dignity and courage. Trimming women's hair in a dream means inability to conceive children. Cutting one's hair in a dream means losing one's strength. Shaving half of one's beard in a dream means losing one's source of income and dignity. Plucking out one's facial hair in a dream is worst than shaving it, and particularly when hair louses up one's face or attractiveness. Jesus (Alayhi-Salam) Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar: Allah's Apostle (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) said, "I saw myself (in a dream) near the Ka'ba last night, and I saw a man with whitish red complexion, the best you may see amongst men of that complexion having long hair reaching his earlobes which was the best hair of its sort, and he had combed his hair and water was dropping from it, and he was performing the Tawaf around the Ka'ba while he was leaning on two men or on the shoulders of two men. I asked, 'Who is this man?' Somebody replied, '(He is) Messiah, son of Mary.' Then I saw another man with very curly hair, blind in the right eye which looked like a protruding out grape. Incident - A Blessed flesh on the lap of Um-ul Fadhl R.A Um-ul Fadhl once came to Prophet Muhammad (Alayhi-Salam) and said: "O Prophet Muhammad! I saw an awful dream." He replied: "Blessed be it." She continued: "I saw a piece of your flesh put in my lap!" Prophet Muhammad (Alayhi-Salam) smiled and said: "My daughter Fatimah will beget a son, and you shall take it into your lap." Later on, Fatima, God be pleased with her, conceived a child from her cousin Ali, God bless his countenance, and Um-ul Fadhl placed the newborn in her lap. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Incident - Cutting off family ties Bishr bin Abi Al-'Aliya said: "I asked Muhammad about someone who saw his jaws fall out in a dream." He replied: 'This is someone who has cut off his ties with his family." Here again, Prophet Muhammad went to the origin, and in this case, it is one's teeth. In Islam, breaking relations with one's family is considered a major sin. Jubair Ibn Mut'in reported that Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) has said: "One who breaks his family ties will not enter paradise." (Bukhari & Muslim) Abu Iluraira, God be pleased with him, reported that Prophet Muhammad, Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam, has said: "Whoever wishes his fortune to increase and his life to be extended, should preserve his family ties." Waraqah Wearing White Garments 'Aishah said: "The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) was asked about Waraqah. Khadijah said to him: 'He believed in you, but he died before your advent.' So the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said: 'I saw him in a dream, and upon him were white garments. If he were among the inhabitants of the Fire then he would have been wearing other than that.'" Being Beheaded And Following The Head Jabir reported that a'person came to Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) and said: Prophet Muhammad, I have seen in the state of sleep as if my head had been cut off. Thereupon Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) laughed and said: When the satan plays with any one of you in the state of steep, do not mention it to the people; and in the hadith transmitted by Abu Bakr (the words are):" If one of you is played with, and he did not make any mention of the word:" Satan." Incident - Abraham and the Forty Camels Sheikh Muhammad bin Isa al-Rikhawi of Aleppo, Syria, once saw in a dream that God's prophet Abraham, Alayhi-Salam, came and gave him forty camels. Shaikh Muhammad went to Shaikh Ahmad Shahabu Deen Al-Maghribi and told him his dream. Sheikh Shahabu Deen replied: 'You will live forty years from this day." On the thirty-ninth year, Sheikh Muhammad visited Sheikh Shahabu Deen who encouraged him to perform his pilgrimage that year. Sheikh Muhammad died three days after his return from Mecca. Sheikh Shahabu Deen led the funeral prayer and buried him beside his father. Shortly after that, Sheikh Ahmad Shahabu Deen died and was buried in their vicinity. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Shaving Shaving one's hair in a dream relates to one's personal customs. If he is used to have short hair and sees himself shaving his head in a dream, it means that he will pay a fine as an atonement. If he sees his head shaved in the summertime, and if he is used to doing so, it means benefits, comfort, or recovering from a migraine headache. If one sees his hair shaved during the winter in a dream, it means difficulties, adversities, penalties, or a sickness. Shaving one's head in a dream also means paying one's dues, appeasement of one's fears, and success in one's life. Shortening one's hair in a dream also means appeasing his fears. Incident - Seeing your head rolling before you Once a man came to Prophet Muhammad (Alayhi-Salam) and said: "O Messenger of God! I saw my head rolling before me, and I saw myself running after it and seeking it in the dream." Prophet Muhammad (Alayhi-Salam) replied: "Do not talk about Satan's chicanery." Beard If it grows longer than one's grip in the dream, it means that one lives from the interest he earns from usury. If the hair of one's beard is black in the dream, it means prosperity and satisfaction in one's life. If its color is greenish-black in the dream, it means extended wealth, power and rulership, unless if one is a tyrant, for the color of Pharaoh's beard was greenish-black. If the color of one's beard yields to yellow in the dream, it means poverty and illness. If its color is blondish in the dream, it means a scare. If one grabs his own beard in the dream and if its hair falls into his hand, and if he keeps holding to the hair, it means incurring financial losses then recovering them, unless one discards the hair in the dream. Dream Of Musailima al-Kadhdhab (the greater liar) Ibn Abbas reported that Musailima al-Kadhdhab (the greater liar) (who claimed prophethood after the death of the Prophet Muhammad) came during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) to Medina and said: If Muhammad assigns his caliphate to me after him I would follow, and there came along with him a large body of persons of his tribe and there came to him Allah's Apostle (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) along with Thabit b. Qais b. Shammas and the Prophet of Allah (?) had a piece of wood in his hand until he came in front of Musailima in the company of his companions and said: If you were to ask even this (wood), I would never give it to you. I am not going to do anything against the will of God in your case, and if you turn away (from what I say) Allah will destroy you. And I find you in the same state which I was shown (in the dream) and here is Thabit and he would answer you on my behalf. He (the Holy Prophet) then went back. Ibn 'Abbas said: I asked the (meanings of the) words of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam):" You are the same what I was made to see about you in my dream." and Abu Huraira reported that Prophet Muhammad. (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) said: While I was sleeping I saw in my hands two gold bangles. This had a disturbing effect upon me and I was given a suggestion in the sleep that I should blow over them, so I blew over them and they were no more. And I interpreted these (two bangles) as the two great liars who would appear after me and the one amongst them was 'Anasi the inhabitant of San'a' and the other one Musailima the inhabitant of Yamama. Incident - Abdullah bin Omar wanting to see a dream Abdullah bin Omar, God be pleased with both of them, related that in his youth, he wished to see a true dream and to hear its interpretation from Prophet Muhammad, Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam. At that time, Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) used to ask people if they saw any dream and he interpreted them accordingly. Abdullah once prayed: "Lord, if Thou reserves any good for me, then let me see a dream that will be interpreted by Prophet Muhammad, Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam."
