Colocynth The colocynth tree symbolizes a restless or impatient and uneasy man, an irreligious coward. God Almighty has described it in the Holy Quran as wicked and unstable: “And the similitude of a bad saying is as a bad tree, uprooted from upon the earth, possessing no stability” (“Ibrahim” [Abraham], verse 26). Basin (Washbowl) In a dream, a basin represents a servant, a mistress, or a wife who brings her husband a life of cleanliness and purity, or it could mean marriage. A basin in a dream also denotes earnings, a respectful job, or it could mean prosperity. Tree • Seeing many date palms in a garden or a fertile land and taking their fruits: Will obtain money from honest and noble people.

Scorpion A scorpion coming out of one's anus in a dream means begetting children who will turn enemies of their father. Swallowing a scorpion in a dream means letting an enemy inside one's house. A scorpion inside one's shirt or shop in a dream represents trouble and distress regarding one's livelihood. A scorpion sitting on one's bed in dream represents an inside enemy. A scorpions inside one's stomach in a dream represents the enmity of one's employees or children who work for their father. A scorpion in a dream also represents someone who speaks his mind and does not know his friend from his enemy. A scorpion in a dream also represents an enemy who lacks determination or will. Killing a scorpion in a dream means that one will capture and destroy his enemy. Record keepers Seeing the scribes of the records in one's dream brings him glad tidings in this life and in the next. If the person lives a pious life, it means that the heavenly paradise is his final abode, but if he is impious, it could represent a clear warning. Policeman (Crocodile; Guardian; Mercury; Thunder; Watchman) A policeman in a dream represents security and peace, prayers, a secret friendship, a hidden love, protection against Satan or his party, or perhaps he may represent one's guardian dog. Wash It could also refer to an honest man who brings back to the right path many people who had gone astray or were misleading others.
• Lying on a mortuary washing table: Promotion and the end of worries.
• One or more dead persons requesting the dreamer to wash their clothes: The dreamer is requested to recall God, pray for someone, give sadaqa, or alms, settle a debt, satisfy an adversary, or carry out a will.

Pregnancy (9) He brings together men and women. (10) A robber will break in his house. (11) A wicked woman will hide in his place. (12) He is sowing in the wrong land. (13) He will steal something and hide it. (14) He will perish by the cord (a homonym for pregnancy in Arabic, the word for both being habl). (15) He will get ill after eating dates. (16) He will have a dropsy (kind of swelling). (17) A foreigner dear to the dreamer will be buried at his place. (18) The dreamer is a liar who brags and pretends that he can do impossible things. Physician If a physician visits a healthy person in a dream and write a prescription for him, it means that he will fall sick. Seeing or visiting a physician in a dream means exposing one's secrets, for a physician works to extract the patient's illness just like a snake charmer who brings a snake out of its hiding. Disappear If one dreams of disappearing from the sight of the enemy, one will defeat that enemy. If the latter uncovers the dreamer, he will bring him a calamity. Greetings If two merchants greet one another in a dream, it means that their business will succeed, and if the second merchant does not reply to the greetings in the dream, it means that their partnership will dissolve. If one's enemy greets him and brings a gift to him in a dream, it means that he is seeking reconciliation and is willing to pay damages for a settlement. If one is greeted with an unknown expression and to which he replies with a common greeting in the dream, it means that he will be saved from a fatal accident, though he will be rewarded for his reply. Fig A fig tree represents a good harvest or increase in children for one who eats from it in a dream, or it could represent a wealthy person who benefits his community. Even his enemies will come to benefit from him, because many types of snakes live on a fig tree. No other fruit equals figs in benefits. Figs represent earnings without difficulties and it shows.
