Prematurity (Also look under Beard.) Prematurity is not favoured by the interpreters of dreams, except for the ability to speak early, because, says Ibn Siren, man is a talking animal. So the act is more or less natural. But for the rest it heralds a scandal or death. Bad dreams of that kind involve, for example, little children with beards, getting married, or kids having a baby. Corn The green ear or spike of corn symbolizes the fertility of the year. But it could also mean the death or killing of young people. Yellow spikes refer to the demise of the elderly. The dry or dead corn standing on its stem is a sterile year, in view of verses 43 to 49 in the Quranic surah, or chapter, on Yusuf (Joseph). And the king said: Lo! I saw in a dream seven fat kine which seven lean were eating, and seven green ears of corn and other (seven) dry. O notables! Expound for me my vision, if ye can interpret dreams. They answered: Jumbled dreams! And we are not knowing in the interpretation of dreams. Sheep The ram symbolizes the huge and invincible man, like the sultan, the imam, the emir (or prince), the army commander, et cetera. It also refers to the Muath-thin (the one who calls people for prayer) or the shepherd. The ram that has lost its horns is a humiliated or impotent man, since the power of the ram resides in its horns. It also represents the isolated person, the deposed ruler, or the disappointed man, despoiled of his weapons and supporters. A black ewe is an Arab woman, a white one, a foreigner.

Fat (Grease; Lubrication; Money; Prosperity; Tallow) If one sees himself having a fat tail like that of a sheep in a dream, it means that his livelihood will depend on the revenues of his offspring. If one eats the fat of a permissible animal (sheep, cattle, etcetera) in a dream, it means profits or owning a sizeable business. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Silver Though silver is better than gold in the interpretation of dreams, bangles and bracelets are a bad omen for men, who are not supposed to wear them, and a good augury for women. A man wearing a silver anklet will experience fear, be chained, or go to jail. For men anklets are chains. Anyhow, no ornaments are good for the masculine gender in dreams, except rings, pendants, necklaces, and earrings. For women, all jewels and ornaments are, generally, good dreams in view of a verse in the Holy Quran that reads as follows: “Beautiful for mankind is love of the joys [that come] from women and offspring, and stored-up heaps of gold and silver, and horses branded [with their mark] and cattle and land. Body • Being fat and strong: Strong religious faith.
• Seeing one’s body as that of a snake: The dreamer does not conceal his hostility or animosity.
• Having the tail of a sheep: The dreamer has a lucky son who will survive him.
• Seeing one’s body made of iron or stone: Will die.

A Well in the House If a person dreams that he has dug a well in his house or he merely dreams of a well present in his house and such a well swells with water it means that Allah will grant him much barakah in his wealth and such wealth will become a means of earning him increased livelihood without much toil and hard work. In this case if the well is seen sending froth all its water until it becomes exhausted, it means he will lose much of his wealth with very little remaining. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Crupper (A leather loop passing under a horse's tail and is buckled to the saddle.) In a dream, a crupper represents a contemptuous and a lowly guardian who profiteers and takes advantage of his position. Sheep If one sees himself slaughtering a sheep in a dream, it means that one of his boys will shortly die, or perhaps it could be the son of someone he knows. A sheep trader in a dream represents a good man who is intuitive and who spends his money on the path of seeking knowledge, or to propagate the same. If one sees himself having a fat tail like that of a sheep in a dream, it means that his livelihood will depend on the revenues of his offspring. In a dream, a sheep also represents a righteous man. Divorce For instance, if a married or sick man dreams that he has divorced his wife three times, at once this would mean that the loss of his livelihood or his demise will be irreversible or imminent, the wife being regarded as the husband’s life and crown. If one dreams of divorcing one’s unique wife this means loss of dignity, pride, position, or authority, temporarily or definitively, depending on the degree of the divorce. It could also mean that the dreamer will have a dispute with another man, will strongly reprimand a friend for a disappointing gesture, or will himself be incriminated.

Water in a Dish or Bowl If a person dreams of himself as holding or possessing water contained in a dish or bowl and he is conscious of himself as being in a state of tuhr (ie. Ceremonial purity) or on a journey in an unknown and strange place, then such a bowl of water symbolizes his life span. If he dreams of drinking all the water it means his life span is completed; he should now prepare for the hereafter. If he drinks the water partially it means he still has a number of years to live. Paper (Notebook; Record; Parchment) A sheet of paper in a dream represents an oath, a vow, or a pledge. Writing a note on a piece of paper in a dream means being ungrateful and perfidious toward others. A writer in a dream also represents someone who is burdened, pressured, doubtful and uncertain, whereby, writing has become his escape goat and a way out of his depression. Sexual intercourse Any sexual intercourse in a dream that culminates in ejecting semen and necessitates a complete ritual ablution in wakefulness represents disturbed dreams, or engaging in a forbidden sexual intercourse from the anus, or it could represent wet dreams. Having sexual intercourse in a dream also signifies paying one's debts, or it could mean relief from pressures. Having sexual intercourse with a prostitute in a dream means love for the world, or it could mean profits. Having sexual intercourse with one's wife in a dream means success in one's trade. Sheep • A ram horning the vagina of a woman: She will cut off her pubic hair, using a pair of scissors.
• Seizing a ram’s horn: Will become invincible.
• Taking ram wool: Will obtain money from an honest man.
• Taking the tail of ram: Will handle the affairs of some noble people, will inherit money, or will marry the daughter of high-class people.
• Taking the entrails of a ram: Will seize the safe of an honest man who has something to do with the ram dreamed of.
• Ram and ewe grease, milk, skin, and wool: Money and welfare.

Adam • Seeing Adam: (1) The dreamer has committed a sin and should repent. (2) A reference to one’s father or ruler or to knowledge. (3) Will become a ruler or governor if eligible for such an honour. (4) Will be deceived and captured by one’s enemies, then released after some time. (5) A reference to the interpreter of dreams, because Adam was the first ever to have dreamed (of Eve) and understood what dreams expressed. (6) A harbinger of the pilgrimage to Mecca (Makkah). (7) A coming together of the beloved ones. (8) Will have plenty of children, but more boys than girls. (9) Forgetfulness and absentmindedness. (10) Trickery and ruses. (11) The dreamer is mixing with snake charmers, poison makers, spiritualists and mediums, who are the demons spokesmen. (12) A reference to rough garments, weeping, or a malaise due to unhealthy food. (13) A long journey, perhaps to where Adam first descended on Earth. Garden In other interpretations, the garden could represent the dreamer’s wife. Its fruits are her money, dresses, and jewels; the trunks of its trees are her weight and silhouette; their height are the length of her life; the area covered by the garden is the wife’s comfortable livelihood. Likewise, a garden refers to the marketplace, forums or the courts of rulers and scholars grouping people of all walks of life or of various nationalities, a wedding ceremony, in which case the trees are the tables and the fruits the various dishes; or whatever is useful to man, like utilities of all kinds, domestic animals, and servants. It is important in dreams involving gardens to consider the season in which the dream occurred. Dreams that occur in spring or summer when the water flows and everything flourishes are a good augury. Moon in the Lap If someone dreams of the Moon being in his or her lap while he or she is holding it, it is a glad tiding that he or she will be blessed with a boy who will be of much benefit to him Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
