A Rope Coming From The Sky Abu Hurairah narrated that a man came to the Prophet Muhammad and said: "I had a dream of a cloud with shade dripping butter and honey. I saw the people scooping it up with their hands, some taking much and some taking little. I saw a rope extending from the sky to the earth. Then I saw you Prophet Muhammad! You took hold of it and went up, then a man took hold of it after you do so, then a man took hold of it after him to do so. Then a man took hold of it and it was severed, and then connected for him, and he did so (i.e. , went up)." Abu Bakr said: "May my father and mother be ransomed for you O Messenger of Allah! Allow me to interpret it." He said: "Interpret it." so he said: "As for the cloud with its shade, it is Islam. As for what the butter and honey that dropped from it, this is the Quran and its delicateness and sweetness. It means some of them gathered much of the Quran and some of them a little. As for the rope extending from the sky to the earth, it is the truth which you are upon, you clug to it and Allah exalted you. Then another man will take hold of it after you and ascend on it, then after him, another man will take hold of it and ascend on it. Then another [man] will take hold of it but it will break, then be connected so he will ascend on it. Inform me O Messenger of Allah! Am I correct or am I mistaken?" The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said: "You are correct in some of it and mistaken in some of it." He (i.e., Abu Bakr) said: "I swear to you by my father and my mother O Prophet Muhammad! You follow it and Allah will raise you high with it, and then another man will follow it and will rise up with it and another person will follow it and then another man will follow it but it will break and then it will be connected for him and he will rise up with it. Ring • The ring’s stone falling: (1) Death of a son. (2) Partial losses.
• The ring falling apart and disappearing and only the stone remaining: A reference to the dreamer’s name, reputation, and beauty.
• A woman dreaming that her ring has been taken away by force: (1) Death of her husband. (2) Death of her next-of-kin.

Shoe • Walking with a pair of shoes and losing one of them: Will be separated from a brother or partner.
• Taking one’s shoes to the shoemaker to have them ornamented: The dreamer is renting his wife.
• One’s shoes falling in the water and disappearing: The wife will die. If the dreamer finds them and takes them out, the wife will be cured, after nearing death.
• One’s shoes falling: Wife will be criticized.

Tooth • Teeth falling and picking them up with one’s hand or beard: The dreamer’s children will break with him; no more children will be born, and if ever one is born he will not stay to be brought up by the dreamer.
• All the teeth falling and disappearing from the dreamer’s sight: (1) His family or his household will die before him. (2) People of his generation or of the same age will die.
• People chewing the dreamer’s flesh or biting him with their teeth: The dreamer should be modest, which he is not.

Mold (Cast; Form) In a dream, a mold represents what it is made for. A silver casting mold in a dream means profits. Pastry molds in a dream also denote profits. A shoe mold in a dream represents the property one walks on, and a mold for a hat represents the leading person, or the head of a business, or the head of a household. Walnut •
• Falling from a walnut tree and dying: Will be killed by a giant of a man or a king.
• The walnut tree breaking while the dreamer is climbing on it: Will control a huge man.
• Dreaming of another person falling from a walnut tree after it had fallen down: The dreamer will control such a person if he gets killed in the dream. Ceiling If water is leaking from one's ceiling in a dream, it means crying in that house for the sake of a departed soul or crying because of a sick person in that family. If rain dissolves the ceiling in a dream, it means loss of money and falling-out from grace. If one sees himself standing on the ceiling of his house and cannot come down in the dream, it means his imprisonment. In a dream, the central beam that carries the ceiling represents a hypocrite who supports the business of an alliance of profiteers. Should the central beam break down and fall in the dream, it means that such a person will be removed from his office. If the ceiling falls over someone's head in a dream, it means that punishment and sufferings will befall him too. Disaster (Heavy loss; Serious damage; Sudden great misfortune; Upheaval) In a dream, a disaster means the death of a sick person, poverty, imprisonment or blindness. However, witnessing a disaster in a dream also could mean the opposite, such as hearing good news, or that one's reluctant enemy may secede. Hair If one sees the hair in the back of his head dishevelled or rumpled in a dream, it means that he will suffer humiliation. If he sees his hair on the right side of his head tousled in a dream, it means that he will molest male children from among his relatives. If he sees his hair on the left side of his head tousled, or dishevelled in a dream, it means that he will molest female children from among his relatives. If one does not have relatives, it means that he will suffer harm from his evil actions. If one sees long hair under his armpit in a dream, it means he will attain his goal, or it could denote his generous character. If he sees it thick in a dream, it denotes his thirst for knowledge, search for a business, or profiting through patience and endurance. Concealment (Hiding) If one sees himself entering a house to hide in a dream, it means that he will receive condolences, or that he will beget a daughter. Concealment in a dream also means dependence on what one stands behind. If one hides behind a mountain in a dream, it means placing his trust in a revered or a religious person. Tent (Canopy; Pavilion) In a dream, a tent means travels, a grave, a wife or a house. A camp of tents in a dream represents clouds. If a tent is raised over someone, and if he is a merchant, it means that his business will grow. If he is a soldier, it means that he will rise in rank. Sheep Shearing off the wool of a sheep in a dream is a warning that one should remain aloof for three days. Both the white sheep and the black sheep in a dream mean profit, though the benefits one draws from a white sheep are greater. Seeing a herd of sheep in a dream means continuous happiness. Walking by a slaughter house or a tripe shop and witnessing the heads and trotters of sheep in a dream mean longevity. Stone A falling stone over the world in a dream means the wrath of Allah Almighty, a calamity, or that an unjust person will rule the land. If the stone splits asunder or explodes after falling in the dream, it means that the harm will touch every house. Carrying bags full of stones or moving mountains in a dream means attempting to do something difficult. Hanging a stone around one's neck as a charm in a dream means that an affliction or an evil will take place. If a poor person sees himself hitting a rock with a staff to split it, then if water gushes forth in the dream, it means that he will strike it rich. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Bird • An unknown bird standing on one’s head, shoulder, or neck or knees: A reference to the action or deeds of the dreamer. If the bird was white, such action is candid. The reverse is also true.
• An unknown bird standing on a pregnant woman’s head, shoulders, or knees: She will give birth to a child of the same gender as the bird. If the latter had stayed, the child would live and remain close to her. If it had flown away, it would mean the contrary.
• Owning or catching a flock of birds: Money and power, especially if the dreamer was looking after them, feeding them, and talking to them.
• Birds hovering over the dreamer’s head: Will become a leader.
• Birds flying in one’s house: Angels will visit the house. Hair • Dreaming that the head was shaved without remembering having shaved it: Will triumph over enemies and become strong.
• A woman dreaming that her hair was shaved: Will be abandoned by her husband or die.
• A woman dreaming that her husband has shaved her head or shortened her hair at the Kabah (the Muslims holiest shrine, in Mecca (Makkah)): She will settle her debts, and her wishes will be fulfilled. If her husband had done so elsewhere than in Mecca (Makkah), he will hold her captive in her house, as if he had cut the wings of a bird. It could also mean that he would slander her. Mountain • A mountain taking off and hovering over people’s heads: The king will terrorize his subjects as, says Ibn Siren, this is what happened to the children of Israel when God lifted the mountain and let it glide over them to terrorize them or deter them from disobedience.
• Mountains exploding or being shattered: A harbinger of war and schisms in which flocks of people will perish, as this is one of the signs of the end of the world.
• Climbing on a mountain and drinking water from its springs: Will be given a province or a high post, if eligible, or achieve gains, if in business.

Grease Lubricating someone else's head in a dream means evil and the subject should take precautions toward the one greasing his head. Having ajar of grease or cream to rub one's body with it or to apply it to others in a dream means fawning, adulation, flattery, hypocrisy, falsehood or backbiting, etcetera. If one sees his own face rubbed with grease in a dream, it means a lifetime of abstinence and religious fasting. Rubbing oneself with a cream as a treatment or as a medicine to lessen one's pain in a dream means that one will correct himself, or save money as a bridal dower or as a down payment toward a purchase. Fog Fog in a dream means going on a journey or returning from one. Fog in a dream also means confusion or obscurity about a material or a spiritual matter. If one sees himself walking through fog in a dream, it means that he is intending something despised by Allah Almighty and he should desist from it.
