Horse • Dreaming that one’s draft horse has become insubordinate and one is unable to control it means the wife will have the upper hand.
• The packhorse talking to the dreamer: Plenty of money will come from the wife’s side, and respectability will be enhanced.
• Making love to a packhorse: Will do a favour to one’s wife and abstain from complaining of any weakness.
• Riding on a draft horse: Will embark on a distant journey and get plenty of welfare from the wife’s side.

Dog According to Ibn Siren, dream interpreters disagree on what a dog represents in dreams. Some of them regard it as a slave or a servant, others as a despot, a terrible person, and a slanderer, if it barks. The black dog is an Arab. On the other hand, a dog could also mean a weak enemy with little chivalry, if any. The she-dog is a mean woman. If she bites, such a woman would harm the dreamer. If a dog tears the dreamer’s clothes, it would mean that a low man would backbite him. For Al-Nabulsi, the dog symbolizes a policeman of low rank, a gate-man, or a guardian, a niggardly person, a weak enemy, and a stupid, profligate, and aggressive man who never hesitates to commit foolish or criminal acts, especially if it barks; it would mean that he has an awful temper, that he is terrible. Horse • Loss of a draft horse: Wife will be immoral, obscene, and uncontrollable.

Geese In a dream, geese represent beautiful women, handsome men or money. Honking gees in a dream represent death, drowning, crying or women in mourning. Herding geese in a dream means becoming a leader or presiding over people, earning their respect and becoming wealthy through them. A goose in a dream represents a man under stress. Geese in a dream also represents survivability and control of life in water and on land. Wild geese in a dream represents travels, business, property, moving into a new neighbourhood. Cemetery • Seeing a polytheistic cemetery: (1) Worries, sorrow, fear, and unhappiness. (2) Shaky religious faith. (3) A reference to heretic places and solitary confinement.
• A sick person dreaming of entering a cemetery: Will die from his ailment and end up there, especially if he had built a house in it in the dream.
• Entering a cemetery with awe, crying and reading or reciting the Holy Book or praying in the direction of Mecca (Makkah): Will mix with benefactors, be well noted and versed in religion, and will benefit from all that he sees or hears.

• Snake meat: Money from an enemy. Eating it raw means the enemy will be absent.

Voice The braying of a donkey in a dream means cursing one's adversaries. The roaring of a lion in a dream means threats or boasts. The yowling of a tomcat in a dream means uproar, backbiting, defamation and insinuations. The squeak of a mouse in a dream means profits, reunion, love and peace, or it could mean harm one could suffer because of an interfering person or a robber. The crying of a female gazelle in a dream means longing for one's homeland. The yapping of foxes in a dream means a warning to escape, to move from one field into another, or it could mean suffering from jealousy, perfidy or lies. Key A key in a dream represents money, a helping hand, entering the path of knowledge, or it could mean receiving divine guidance. Carrying a bunch of keys in a dream means prosperity, knowledge and security against one's enemy. Keys in a dream also represent one's children, emissaries, spies, servant, wife or wealth. Keys in a dream also mean attaining one's goal, or fulfillment of one's prayers. A key in a dream also may mean victory over one's enemy. Holding a wooden key in a dream indicates the character of one who refuses to help others, or if he holds their money in trust, it means that he does not repay them, for wood in a dream means hypocrisy. Hole Falling into a hole and crying for help to no avail in a dream means taking a short trip. A hole in a dream also represents a poor woman who strives to cover others pitfalls, though she cannot veil her own. Hiding inside a hole in a dream also means appeasement of one's fears, or ending of one's adversities. If while hiding, one finds food, or fresh water, or a cloth to cover himself in the dream, it means profiting from sources one does not anticipate, or making peace with an opponent. Hornet A hornet in a dream represents a fighting enemy, a builder, an architect, a thief, a highway robber, a despicable person whose earnings are unlawful, a singer who sings in the wrong key, eating poisonous food, or disclosing something. A hornet in a dream also represents a slanderer, a troublemaker, a strong fighter, a strong enemy that will argue against the truth, or merciless people, a vile person, a blood thirsty person, a stinging personality, or a harmful connection. Sponsorship (Guarantee; Legal guardianship; Support; Tutelage) To take the responsibility of caring for someone, or to sponsor someone, or to become a legal guardian of someone, or to guarantee someone in a dream means blessings, profits, or victory over one's enemy. A sponsorship in a dream also signifies steadfastness and resoluteness of both the guarantor and his protegee. It is also said that sponsoring someone in a dream means to cause him harm. Defeat If a believer sees himself defeated in a dream, it means that he will wear the helmet of a warrior and win the battle against his enemy. If one sees himself defeated and shows no fear in the dream, it means his death. If one sees soldiers retreating into a city to take shelter therein in a dream, it means that they will ultimately win their war, even if their cause is unjust or if they represented a tyrant, though they will ultimately have to pay for their crimes. Church For a Christian person, seeing a church in a dream signifies a house of worship, religion, knowledge, devotion, work, ascetic detachment, fear of wrongdoing, penance, lamentation and it could mean crying. A church in a dream also could mean distress, trouble, slander, innovation, injustice, a business club, a meeting house, bingo, wine, alcoholic consumption, communion, weddings or a wife. In a dream, a church also can represent its parish, diocese, ministry, clergyman or a chaplain. Handshake • Shaking hands with and embracing an enemy: Cordiality will replace hostility, as the Holy Prophet said that handshaking increases cordiality.
• An enemy coming to shake hands or greet the dreamer: He is seeking reconciliation.
• Shaking hands with someone with whom there is no hostility: The dreamer will come to his rescue. In case there is a feud, the latter will win over.
• Shaking hands with a sheikh or old man the dreamer knows: The dreamer will marry or make love to a beautiful woman and eat all sorts of fruits, in view of a verse in the Holy Quran: “They and their wives, in pleasant shade, on thrones reclining; theirs the fruits and theirs (all) that they ask….” (“Ya-Sin,” verses 55–57.) Sound of animals In a dream, the sound of a crowd means money beside other benefits. The bleating of sheep in a dream means distress and fear. The neigh of horses in a dream means might and honor. The barking of a dog in a dream means vain talk and meddling in others business. The sound of a lynx in a dream means pampering oneself and wantonness. The cooing of pigeons in a dream means crying, sorrows or marriage. The chirp of swallows in a dream means beneficial words. The croaking of frogs in a dream means beatings or death. The sound of bells and the hissing of snakes in a dream represents a fight, an argument, a warning, or a war. The braying of donkeys in a dream means cursing in the darkness. Laughing Laughing in a dream means happiness and joy in wakefulness, except if one bursts with a horselaugh or falls over his back from laughing in his dream. If so, then it means crying. If one's laughter in his dream is caused by a joke, then it denotes his dishonesty. The same goes for laughing by imitation in a dream which means falling into sin. Laughing in a dream also could mean sorrow in wakefulness. Laughing in a dream also means that one will receive news about a newborn son. If one's laughter in a dream is as gentle and soft as a smile, then it denotes his good character and means happiness, or it could denote exactly what he shall see in wakefulness. Pregnancy In general, pregnancy means that the dreamer’s share in life will increase, be he a man or a woman. But there is a host of contradictions in the interpretation of such a dream.
• Seeing one’s wife pregnant: The dreamer is aiming for something.
• A man dreaming that he is pregnant: (1) His share in the world will increase inasmuch as the belly was big. (2) Sorrow is ahead. (3) If he had given birth to a boy (in the dream), that means big calamity. Conversely, a girl means benefit. (4) He has severe problems and worries that nobody has noticed yet. They are likely to grow further, and he might be uncovered. (5) If a scholar, the dreamer will acquire more knowledge. (6) If a craftsman, the dreamer will earn money to somebody else’s benefit. Blood Blood in ajar represents a woman in menstruation. Blood in a dream also represents one's life, strength, wealth, business, helpers, clothing, earning praise or blame, weak points, unlawful food, lack of benefits, loss of business or money or esteem, inability to draw benefits from one's usual close ones, such as a father, a son, or a business partner, separation through death from one's beloveds or dear one's, such as wife or a kin. One's blood in a dream also represents his own Satan, or an enemy that dwells inside his house.
