Drapes Old drapes in a dream represent adversities which will not last. Torn drapes in a dream mean happiness and joy. If they are torn vertically in the dream, they represent a quick joy. If they are torn horizontally in the dream, they mean slander against one's family. Black drapes in a dream mean worries because of money, a child, or the authorities. White or green drapes mean good results. Drapes hanging over the door of a mosque in a dream represent spiritual problems or religious failure. Hoopoe - Also Called In English Coffin Bird The hoopoe symbolizes a man of vision and foresight in his work, a writer and a critic who goes into every detail but who has little religion and does not enjoy a good reputation, in view of that bird’s stinking smell. Prison If one who is experiencing difficulties in his life sees himself tied-up to a chair or to a wall in a dream, it means that his problems and fears will be dispelled. If one sees himself building a prison in a dream, it means that he will meet a righteous man, or an Imam who will guide him on the straight path. A prison in a dream also represents paralysis, arrogance, self-deception, or incarcerating troublesome people. If one sees a deceased person in jail in a dream, it means that he is in hell. If one sees himself imprisoned in a dream, it also means that he may enter a forbidden place, a house of a prostitution, or a tavern. Dancing Dancing in a dream means a calamity. If one sees himself dancing for someone else in a dream, it means that he will share his problems with him. Dancing alone in one's house in a dream signifies joy and satisfaction. If a sick person sees himself dancing in a dream, it denotes his anxiety. If one is pulled to a dancing circle in a dream, it means that he will be saved from tribulation or be declared innocent from false allegations. If a child is seen dancing in a dream, then it means that he may lose his speech or become dumb, because when a child dances, he mostly moves his hands to express himself. Purple The color purple in a dream represents a brilliant and a skilful housemaid. If one sees himself lifting something of purple color in a dream, it means that he will hire or kiss a housemaid. Purple in a dream is also interpreted to mean a beautiful woman. In general, the sweet aroma of a purple plant among other fragrant plants represent a woman who has little care for stability, or it may represent a short lived child, or it could mean health problems. Pregnancy In general, pregnancy means that the dreamer’s share in life will increase, be he a man or a woman. But there is a host of contradictions in the interpretation of such a dream.
• Seeing one’s wife pregnant: The dreamer is aiming for something.
• A man dreaming that he is pregnant: (1) His share in the world will increase inasmuch as the belly was big. (2) Sorrow is ahead. (3) If he had given birth to a boy (in the dream), that means big calamity. Conversely, a girl means benefit. (4) He has severe problems and worries that nobody has noticed yet. They are likely to grow further, and he might be uncovered. (5) If a scholar, the dreamer will acquire more knowledge. (6) If a craftsman, the dreamer will earn money to somebody else’s benefit. Zakat • Paying the zakat that is due on the Bairam feast, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan during which Muslims fast: Will pray more and use the rosary more than often in recalling God, in view of the Quranic verses: “He is successful he who pays the Zakat, and re-membereth the Name of his Lord, so prayeth.” (“Al-Aala” [The Most High], verse 14–15.) Pregnancy (Childbearing; Planting) In a dream, a pregnancy indicates woman's success, diligence and assiduity in pursuing her goals. In a dream, pregnancy also means receiving recognition, respect and prosperity. If a man sees himself pregnant in a dream, it means that he suffers from heaviness in his life, or it could represent one's fear of exposing his problems in public. In general, pregnancy in a dream represents material gains. If a woman sees herself pregnant in a dream, it means difficulties and adversities beside some troubling secrets she maybe hiding. Canal Blocking a canal in a dream also means quitting one's job or cancelling a debt, or it could mean closing a business. Seeing a watercourse running inside one's house in a dream means blessings and prosperity. Urinating in a canal or a watercourse in a dream means committing a sin, engaging in unlawfulness or molesting a servant. A canal in a dream also could represent the housekeeper who cleans people's dirt, a street sweeper, or it could mean a forbidden marriage. A dry canal in a dream signifies cessation of business, unsalable merchandise, a dead market or discord with one's wife, suffering from a urinary bladder, or having kidney problems. Orange, Bitter The same interpretation applies to bitter orange as for citron or Adam’s apple. But the meaning is more acute for both pros and cons. Deceit It is the one seen deceived in the dream who will have the upper hand in reality, in view of a verse in the Holy Quran: “And if they would deceive thee, then lo! Allah is sufficient for thee. Shirt Wearing one's shirt inside-out in a dream means reversal of one's condition, or having a loathsome and a forbidden type of sexual relationship with one's wife from the anus. A shirt in a dream also represents one's house or shelter. If one's shirt is torn in half vertically in a dream, it means relief from anxiety or depression. If one's shirt is torn from the back in a dream, it means that one will suffer from defamation, or be falsely accused of sexually harassing or abusing a woman. If one's shirt is torn from the front in the dream, then it becomes a proof of his guilt. Seeing the shirt of the Prophet Joseph (Alayhi-Salam) in a dream means that an emissary of good intent will bring glad tidings, and for someone who is suffering from eye problems, it means that he will recover his sight. Tree • Seeing an unknown tree in a house: A possible fight or quarrel, in view of a Quranic verse: “But nay, by thy Lord, they will not believe [in truth] until they make thee judge of what is in dispute (Arabic: shagara) between them …” (“Al-Nisae” [Women], verse 65.)

Sweat • One’s clothes being wet with sweat: Will save money for children as much as there was sweat.
• Sweat with a nice smell: Blessed money. For Al-Kirmani, sweating means: (1) Things will go through. (2) If ill, will recover. Other interpreters are of the view that sweat symbolizes shame or fatigue. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Black Grapes Black grapes, although in reality are excellent buit in a dream they do not augur well for the one who sees them. The reason being that Hadhrat Nooh (AS) cursed his son out of anger. Consequently, the grapes that the son had in his hand turned black. Therefore, in view of this incident, there is no benefit in seeing black grapes. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Oak The oak symbolizes a hard and difficult young man who knows how to make money. The tree is a generous man, as the oak is very nutritive. It also refers to a great sheikh, in view of its ominous size. Likewise, it symbolizes length of time, as it lives long and grows bigger and bigger. Paradoxically, it could also allude to servitude. Ablution - Ritual Washing Before Prayers • A prince or a commander dreaming that he is praying without having conducted ablutions: His soldiers will never assemble when summoned. Praying without ablutions in an unsuitable place: The dreamer is at a loss and will have no outlet.

Prison • Choosing one’s jail: God will save the dreamer from the malice of a woman who is tempting him to falter in view of the Quranic verse: “He said: Oh my Lord! Prison is more dear than that unto which they urge me, and if Thou fend not off their wiles from me I shall incline unto them and become of the foolish.” (“Yusuf” [Joseph], verse 33.)

Vomit If one vomits inside a basin in a dream, it means repentance from his wrongdoing, or it could mean giving a woman a share from unlawful money. If one suffers during vomiting and finds the taste disgusting in his dream, it means that he is forced to confess and apologize for his wrongdoing, though he does not like being caught. It could also mean paying damages, health problems, or it could mean a financial misfortune. Vomiting blood in one's dream means repentance from sin, restraining oneself from indulging in what is forbidden, or it could mean satisfying one's debts, or fulfillment of a vow. If one drinks wine, then vomits the same in his dream, it means that he has received some tainted or unlawful money that he will remit to its rightful owner and repent for his sin. Fly • A traveller dreaming that flies have landed on his head: Should fear highwaymen who could intercept and rob him, in view of a verse in the Holy Quran that reads as follows: “… And if the fly took something from them, they could not rescue it from it. So weak are (both) the seeker and the sought!” (“Al-Hajj” [The Pilgrimage], verse 73.)
• A fly landing on something belonging to the dreamer: Hide your money from eventual thieves.
