String instruments If one sees himself playing a string instrument in front of the governor's house in a dream, it means that he will preside over people should he qualify. Otherwise, it could mean that he will piece together or fabricate a story. Seeing a lute or a guitar in a dream denotes no harm if one sees them or intends to hold them, except if one hears their music. Playing or hearing a string instrument in a dream represents lies. Playing them in one's house in a dream represent a calamity that will befall that family. Eating the Shell or White of the Egg Eating the shell or white of the eggs but not the yolk means he will usurp wealth belonging to the deceased or a slain person. A Most Unpleasant Dream If the Holy Prophet (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) is seen as physically deformed or sick or dead then this is a very unpleasant dream. Slave If one is sold as a slave in a dream, it means that he will regain honor and dignity, or perhaps fall in a trap, for selling a free person in a dream means humiliating him. Selling a human being in a dream also connotes a good end, such as that in the story of Allah's prophet Joseph, Alayhi-Salam. If a bondman sees himself free in a dream, it means that he will experience ease after he was subjugated to difficulties and hardships, or it could mean paying his debts, recovering from an illness, attaining one's goals, or perhaps he may become a true servant of Allah Almighty, who commands good and forbids evil, establishes regular prayers, pays his charities and fears wrongdoing. Buy • Buying a male child: Very bad days are ahead.

Israfil The archangel Israfil Alayhi-Salam. Seeing him in a dream means resurrection, reanimation of the dead by Allah's leave, compelling one's enemies to accept his conditions, and refuting the claims of disbelievers and atheists about the resurrection. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Mule Musa's patience and prove to him, in the end, that Musa did not encompass all knowledge. In fact, Khidr had, paradoxically, scuttled the boat to save its owners from a kind of pirate king who was following them and killed the boy because he would become an intolerable figure if he were allowed to grow older and corrupt or kill his parents by exploiting their weakness for him. He saved the wall because there was a treasure under it and God wanted the virtuous orphans of the selfish landlords of that place to take possession of it as a heritage. The Ear The ear symbolises a perbond wife or daughter. If the ear is seen not functioning (or as dead) it means he will divorce his wife or she will die. It could also mean his daughter will get married. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Paradise If one sees himself entering paradise carrying money and leading a herd of sheep in a dream, it means that he will enter it through his charity and paying his due alms. Entering paradise together with one's wife means a good family relationship and giving respect to one's wife. Seeing paradise in a dream also represents one's devotion, piety, renunciation, and being of benefit to one's companions. The trees of paradise in a dream represent the Gnostics, the true servants of Allah Almighty and the callers to Allah Almighty. If one is thrown out of paradise in a dream, it means that he needs to understand the story of Adam, Alayhi-Salam. Fig Paradoxically, some interpreters hate dreams involving figs in view of other Quranic verses relating to the story of Adam and Eve wherein God says, “And We said: O Adam! Dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden, and eat ye freely [of the fruits] thereof where ye will; but come not nigh this tree lest ye become wrongdoers” (“Al-Baqarah” [The Heifer], verse 35) and “And [unto man]: O Adam! Dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden and eat from whence ye will, but come not nigh this tree lest ye become wrongdoers.” (“Al-Aaraf’ [The Heights], verse 19.) Green figs in winter symbolize rain, black figs cold.

Call For Prayer (Arabic: Athan) • A child launching the prayer call: His parents will be innocent from calumnies, by analogy with the story and origin of Jesus Christ.
• Launching the praying call in a bathroom: Bad dream on both the spiritual and material planes. It could mean that the dreamer is a pimp.
• Crying for prayers in the “hot house”23: Will have a shaking fever. Crying for prayers in the “cold house”: Will have a fever.
• Launching the athan at the gate of the ruler: Will speak the truth.
• Calling for prayer while clad indecently or showing one’s underwear: Will penetrate a woman.
• Someone launching the athan in a souk (marketplace): Someone in that souk will pass away.

Ozair Dreaming of Ozair (a prophet who was killed by God and left dead, along with his donkey, for a hundred years, then brought back to life as an eighty-year-old “young man” still about to recite the Torah, from the beginning to the end, as no one else ever could) means one:

Dying for the Second Time If a dead person is seen as dying again and there is weeping without screaming and mourning it means a relative of his will get married and the marriage will bring great happiness and pleasure. But is there is screaming and mourning then it means a close family member will die. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Extinguishing a fire Extinguishing a fire in a dream means putting off or quelling a riot, deterring a war or abolishing innovation. If one sees himself in a dream smothering an already dead fire, it means that he is trying to rekindle an old war or to provoke evil between people. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Woodcutter (Disposer of estates; Guardian) In a dream, a woodcutter represents the person in charge of distributing one's inheritance, since it is he who disposes of the dead branches of a tree. In a dream, a woodcutter also represents an agitator, winter profits, eavesdropping, gossip, burdens, or sins. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Asylum But the sanatorium also alludes to entertainment, playing, joking, and irresponsible behaviour in society or in people’s occupations, as is the case with psychopaths. A mentally disturbed person would not mind parting from his children.
• A dead person seen in a sanatorium: He is in Hell, as the madhouse “is the place of chains and shackles” (which have now been replaced by the straitjacket). Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Cow The cow symbolizes the year in view of the story of Yusuf (Joseph) in the Holy Quran. A fat cow is a fertile year and a thin one an austere year. It also represents wealth and prestige and a woman, par excellence, commensurate with her shape. A milk cow is a useful woman. A cow with horns is a woman of marginal value. The cow’s belly symbolizes assets without value, her navel string the wife’s umbilical cord or an allusion to the wife’s pregnancy. A lost cow is a wife lost to her husband.
• Trying to milk a cow that prevents the dreamer from doing so by using her horns: The dreamer’s wife will hate him and rebel against him. If the cow accepts, in the dream, being milked by another man, that man is betraying the dreamer with his wife.
• A cow with a blaze (white color) on her face: Hardships at the beginning of the year, as the word forefront—in Arabic ghorra—is the homonym for beginning.

Blood It could also mean troubles and unhappiness. Blood refers as well to the person’s good or bad genie that runs in him like the bloodstream. When seen in a jar or any container, blood represents menstruation. The cover of that jar or whatever is used to stuff its aperture is the cotton or hygienic towel. In some cases, blood symbolizes what could not happen to a human being unless dead, like red blood from a patient turning blue or yellow. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Mountain • Launching the athan, or call for prayers, from the mountaintop while facing the Qiblah (the direction of Mecca (Makkah)) or throwing arrows from there: The dreamer will become famous as far as his voice or arrows reached, and his orders will be carried out in that range.
• Standing afraid on a mountain: Will be secure. For a person travelling by sea such a dream means that the ship will have to return or moor at the nearest port because of some technical trouble. But the dreamer will be safe. However, according to Ibn Siren, fleeing from a ship to seek refuge on a mountain means that the dreamer will perish, in view of the story of Noah’s son as related in the Quranic verses: “And it sailed with them amid waves like mountains, and Noah cried onto his son—and he was standing aloof—O my son! Come ride with us, and be not with the disbelievers. He said: I shall betake me to some mountain that will save me from the water. (Noah) said: This day there is none that saveth from the commandment of Allah save him on whom He hath had mercy.
