Amulet If he is a man of knowledge, it means that he lies or hides his true knowledge, abstains from giving true advice, or perhaps he offers a poor quality of worship. If the one reciting the incantation in the dream is a judge, it means that he will give a wrong judgement. If one is given to drink some water over which specific prayers were recited in a dream, it means longevity. If one sees himself reciting an incantation, or if he hears incantations recited on his behalf in a dream, it will all be false except for a prayer that recites; In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate or contains a Quranic revelation. Seeing Muslims Sailing Like Kings Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah's Apostle (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) used to visit Um Haram bint Milhan she was the wife of 'Ubada bin As-Samit. One day the Prophet visited her and she provided him with food and started looking for lice in his head. Then Allah's Apostle slept and afterwards woke up smiling. Um Haram asked, "What makes you smile, O Allah's Apostle?" He said, "Some of my followers were presented before me in my dream as fighters in Allah's Cause, sailing in the middle of the seas like kings on the thrones or like kings sitting on their thrones." (The narrator Ishaq is not sure as to which expression was correct). Um Haram added, 'I said, "O Allah's Apostle! Invoke Allah, to make me one of them;" So Allah's Apostle invoked Allah for her and then laid his head down (and slept). Then he woke up smiling (again). (Um Haram added): I said, "What makes you smile, O Allah's Apostle?" He said, "Some people of my followers were presented before me (in a dream) as fighters in Allah's Cause." He said the same as he had said before. I said, "O Allah's Apostle! Invoke Allah to make me from them." He said, "You are among the first ones." Then Um Haram sailed over the sea during the Caliphate of Muawiya bin Abu Sufyan, and she fell down from her riding animal after coming ashore, and died. (Bukhari) Dream Interpreter: Imam Bukhari
Angels (Celestial beings; Heavenly beings) If one sees the heavenly angels (arb. Malaika) coming before him to congratulate him in a dream, it means that Allah Almighty has forgiven that person his sins and endowed him with patience, through which he will attain success in this life and in the hereafter. If one sees the heavenly angels greeting him or giving him something in the dream, it means that his insight will grow, or that he maybe martyrized. If one sees angels descending upon a locality that is raging with a war in a dream, it means that the dwellers of that place will win victory. Islam (Religion of Islam; Surrender to Allah's will; Submission) To see oneself as a Muslim, praising Allah Almighty, thanking Him, facing the Kabah in one's prayers, or to see oneself embracing Islam in a dream means straightening one's life, or repentance from one's sins. If one sees himself renewing his Islam in a dream, it means safety from plagues, sickness, or adversities. To proclaim the two testimonies; " There is no allah other than Allah, Prophet Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, " in one's dream means relief from distress, or guidance after heedlessness. Merchant If one sees himself as a store owner, sitting in his shop, surrounded with his merchandise, giving orders, buying and selling in a dream, it means a commanding post in his own field. If the person is not a businessman, but still sees himself in a dream carrying some trade tools such as a scale, a scoop, etcetera, it means financial balance in his life. Merchants in a dream also represent travel, news, profits or a high position. A merchant in a dream also may represent a spendthrift, or negligence of several religious obligations set by Allah Almighty. A woman merchant in a dream represents an enemy. Removing the Hair of the Head and the Beard Simultaneously If there is anything to suggest any goodness in such a dream it means that if observer is in difficulty, Allah will remove if, if he is in debt, Allah will enable him to pay it; if he is ill, Allah will grant him cure. The Ambiyaa (Alayhimus Salaam) Seeing the prophets of Allah is the same as seeing the angels of Allah Taala suggesting freshness, plentiful rains, reduction of prices of things etc. There is only one exception : the observer will not attain shahaadah by seeing the ambiyaa (As) as is in the case of seeing the angels of Allah. Eve It also means that a major adversity will befall her, since Eve was the first to experience female menstrual period and the pain of childbirth. It may also mean suffering from the burden of pregnancy, labor and the pangs of giving birth. Seeing Eve in a dream also could mean giving birth to both righteous as well as evil children. If the woman in the dream is separated from her husband, it may mean returning to her conjugal life or earning lawful income for her own needs. It also could mean that someone from her progeny may commit murder or die as a martyr. If a man sees Eve in a dream, it means that he may be deceived by a woman or that he hearkens exclusively to the advice of his wife, or if he follows a woman's advice, it means that he will err and lose his leadership. If one sees Eve with her beautiful countenance in a dream, then she represents his mother, for Eve is the mother of humankind. Shooting arrows Shooting arrows at people in a dream then means backbiting people, slandering them, or it could mean vain talking. If one constantly fails his aim in his dream, it means that he has an evil speaking tongue. Hitting one's target in a dream means attaining one's goals, or speaking the truth regarding someone he knows. Wearing a white garment and standing on top of a mountain and shooting arrows toward the East and the West in a dream means attaining a vast control over people and lands, if one qualifies. Dog The dog is also a harbinger of fever, in view of the terrible disease Al-Shiira Al-Yamaneyyah (literally translated, it means the Yemeni hair; probably hirsutism or hypertrichosis, more popularly known as the werewolf phenomenon, which had a correlation not with the full moon, but with Al-Shiira Al-Yamaneyyah, which was also the name of Sirius, a star of the constellation called the Greater Dog, or Canis Major, which is the brightest star in the heavens). It could also be a sign of apostasy, atheism, or despair in God’s mercy and scepticism about His messages. All dogs, in general, symbolize the worldly persons (perhaps because, in Arabic, whereas the word kalb means “dog,” takalub means “to rush madly upon; to contend for”), as well as the humble, submissive people, the beggars, or the lads who go from door to door. In abstract terms, dogs are the incarnation of meanness, lowliness, villainy, and humiliation or humility with everlasting affection for the master and care for the latter’s money and children or in-laws. Statue If one sees himself worshiping a statue in a dream, it means that he is engaged in falsehood, giving preference to his personal desires and passions over obeying his Lord's commands. If one sees himself worshiping a golden statue in a dream, it means that he will solicit business from someone who worships Allah Almighty, though he will also suffer losses from such an association. It also means that he will lose his investment and it will show the weakness of his faith. If one sees himself worshiping a statue made of silver in the dream, it means that he uses his religion to make business out of it, or to betray others through it, or that he will solicit the help of someone to do evil, or that he may sexually abuse a young girl who trusts his religious appearance. Instructions After Seeing A Bad Dream Narrated Abu Qatada Al-Ansari: (a companion of the Prophet and one of his cavalry men) "I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "A good dream is from Allah, and a bad dream is from Satan; so, if anyone of you had a bad dream which he disliked, then he should spit on his left and seek refuge with Allah from it, for it will not harm him." The Difference Between Good Dreams And Bad Dreams Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri: The Prophet said, "If anyone of you sees a dream that he likes, then it is from Allah, and he should thank Allah for it and narrate it to others; but if he sees something else, i.e., a dream that he dislikes, then it is from Satan, and he should seek refuge with Allah from its evil, and he should not mention it to anybody, for it will not harm him." Jacob (The prophet Jacob, Alayhi-Salam.) Seeing Allah's prophet Jacob (Alayhi-Salam) in a dream means strength, living in Allah's blessings and having many children. Some of the children will cause their father grief, though his distress will later dissipate. Seeing Allah's prophet Jacob (Alayhi-Salam) in a dream also means dispersal of one's family that will be followed by a joyful reunion. Seeing Allah's prophet Jacob (Alayhi-Salam) in a dream also means earning Allah's nearness through devotion, prayers, charity and good deeds. It also could mean temporary loss of one's sight, finding a missing child, or suffering a trial because of one's attachment to his blood ties, though Allah willing, the results will be positive. Brandishing A Sword Abu Musa reported Allah's Messenger (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) as saying: I dreamt (while asleep) that I was about to migrate from Mecca to a land abounding in palmtrees and I guessed that it would be Yamama or Hajar, but it was the city of Yathrib (the old name of Medina), and I saw in this dream of mine that I was brandishing a sword and its upper end was broken and this is what fell (in the form of misfortune to the believers on the Day of Uhud). I brandished (the sword) for the second time and it became all right and this is what came to be true when Allah granted us victory and solidarity of the believers. And I saw therein cows also and Allah is the Doer of good. These meant the group from amongst the believers on the Day of Uhud and the goodness which Allah brought after that and the reward of attestation of his Truth which Allah brought to us after the Day of Badr. Glorifying Glorifying Allah's sovereignty in a dream is a confirmation of one's true faith. If in real life the person is ill, imprisoned or in fear, glorifying Allah Almighty in a dream means his cure, freedom and peace. If one sees himself performing his prescribed prayers, then following that with invocations of Allah's glory in a dream, it means that one will receive a verdict of innocence, fulfil a vow, comply with the divine command, or that Allah Almighty will provide him with resources to pay his debts from sources he does not anticipate. Sword • Finding the sword too heavy and dragging it on the ground: Influence will wane.
• The supports of the sword breaking or being cut: Will be deposed or isolated.
• Giving or taking the blade of a sword from one’s wife: She will give birth to a male child.
• The wife giving her husband a sword in its sheath: She will deliver a boy.
• Handing one’s wife a sword in its sheath: She will give birth to a girl.
• Being girded with four swords, One made of iron, one made of brass or bronze, one made of lead, and one made of wood: Will have four male children. The iron symbolizes a courageous boy, the bronze a lucky boy who will become rich, the lead an effeminate boy, and the wood a hypocrite.
