The knife could also symbolize evidence or a convincing argument or a writer, since writers use knives to open the pages of their books.

If two groups of opposing trends compromise or consent to respect each others philosophy in a dream, it denotes the birth of a new ideology, innovations and trials. If he does not accept wages for his work, then in reality such a person is a man of virtue and moral excellence.
