Times in which Dreams are Most Potent It must be borne in mind that the most authentic dreams are the ones observed in the latter part of the night and during Qayloolah (sleeping at midday ) and during the day. Dreams during the fruit-ripening season and fruit-selling season are also very potent. Camel • Seeing camels without saddles or ornaments or proceeding along the road: Clouds and rain.
• One camel: A man; if Arab, an Arab man, et cetera.
• A camel with a pedigree: A traveller, a sheikh, or a famous man.
• Owning a camel: Will overpower strong and influential men.
• Riding an Arab camel: Will go to Mecca (Makkah) for the pilgrimage.

New year's Day If it is a Monday, it means floods, winter illness and perhaps a partial loss of the crop. If it is a Tuesday, it means shortage of rain and a cold winter. If it is a Wednesday, it means scarcity and deficiency of water, and a cold weather by the end of summer and beginning of autumn. If it is a Thursday, it means a prosperous year, except for the livestock. This interpretation was given by Ptolemy, the Alexandrian astronomer 367-283 B.C. during his residence in Egypt. Peach Green peaches, plums, damsons, or damson plums symbolize pain from worries or caused by a brother. The yellow type means disease, especially if it is out-of-season. Sour peaches mean fear. River of Wine If a person sees a river flowing with wine and such a river flows through lush and green land with which he is not familiar, drinking from such a river or entering such land is a glad tiding that the observer will attain Jannah. Mire In a dream, mire also means stagnation, disrupting communications, the past, pride about one's wealth, or it could mean apostasy. If the color of mud turns from black into red in a dream, it means moving from one's country to another, or from one wife to another. During a drought, if one sees mire or mud in his dream, it means rain. Seeing oneself performing a ritual ablution, then performing prayers in the Aqiq canyons in a dream signifies confirmation of the testimony of Allah's Oneness (see Carnelian-red), washing oneself from worldly attachments, witnessing Divine blessings and spiritual favors, rising in station, hearing good words, or it could mean imprisonment, rain, a gift, an offering, or a charity. Hoof (Cattle; Horse) In a dream, a hoof represents knowledge and pursuing its references or tracks. It also represents wealth when the hoofs are those of the king's horse or of his messenger's horse. Hoofs in a dream also imply making a compulsory move from one location to another. Hoofs in a dream also mean guidance for a lost soul. Banner (Beacon; Distinguished; Excellence; Flag) A banner in a dream represents public knowledge, fame, presidency, laurel of victory, a man of knowledge, an Imam, or an ascetic who is vigilant and courageous, or a rich and a generous man, or a strong and a victorious hero whose example is loved and followed. If the banner is red, then one will reap happiness from the person it represents, or he may engage in a war against him. As for a woman, a banner in a dream represents her husband. Wadi A wadi in a dream also could represent a prison because of the steep mountains surrounding it and the difficulty in crossing it. Seeing oneself in a wadi floating in the air until one reaches a desired altitude in a dream means working for a powerful person. A wadi in a dream also represents a warrior, a bandit, a highway robber or a lion. Sky • Seeing numerous gates of Heaven: A reference to usury.
• Some flies, bees, birds, et cetera, coming from the gates of Heaven: Diluvial rain, in view of the Quranic verse: “Then opened We the gates of Heaven with pouring water.” (“Al-Qamar” [The Moon], verse 11.)
• Being close to the sky: The dreamer is close to God or, if his ambitions are not so great, to his superior and his prayers will be heard.

Bean Beans, lentils and the like, be they cooked or fried, mean sorrow for whoever obtains or eats them, wet or dry. However, plenty of them symbolizes money. Some say that green beans are worries and dry ones money and joy. Lentils are dirty money. Darn (Invisible stitches; Mend; Patch; Regret) To mend a garment with interlacing stitches in a dream means correcting oneself, piety, allahliness, appropriateness, good reputation, being free from illness, arming oneself, or it could mean rain. Grape Grape juice, especially wine, symbolizes women, in view of its delicious taste. It also represents sex, because it is like the semen. Likewise, it refers to a generous and useful man, a good-doer, owing to the multifarious benefits of grape. He could be a ruler, a scholar, or a person who gives money to the needy. White grapes in the right season allude to the best of this world, like money that will come earlier than expected. In winter, grapes allude to rain. Sprout Eating cooked sprouts in a dream means benefits in every respect. If one sees himself in a dream exchanging quails and manna (See Manna) for green sprouts and garlic, it means that he will be subjugated to poverty and humiliation. Snow A heavy snow storm in a dream means oppression, while a light snowfall or flurries mean benefits to one's town. Melting snow in a dream means dispersal of agony, or it could mean the end of depression. Like rain, snow in a dream is a sign of divine mercy and a good harvest. Paradise (Green garments) Seeing paradise and not entering it in a dream means glad tidings of a blessed deed one will perform. Only an equitable person may see it, not an unjust person. Should he desire to enter it when someone is preventing him from doing so in the dream means that he must exercise patience toward being prevented from attending a pilgrimage to Mecca. It also means that he could be prevented from repenting from a sin he is adamant at disqualifying from being a sin, then when suddenly he feels an urge to repent for it, he may be prevented from doing so.
