Incident - a king trying to Annihilate the Muslims The king said: “This is your proof regarding the elephants. What have you to say about the drums?” He recited the verse: And when the trumpet will be blowns, this will be a very hard day for the non-believers-not an easy one. When the king heard this he became utterly shocked and perplexed since the Shaikh's explanation was rational and irrefutable. To avoid embarrassment to himself he dismissed the sheikh and his colleagues saying that he would have believed him if he (the sheikh) were not a Muslim. But since he is a Muslim he is biased in his delivery of interpretation. The Shaikh said: “You will soon find out for yourself, o king!”. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Swim According to Ibn Siren, it is better to wake up after swimming one’s way to safety than to regain consciousness while still struggling in the water.
• Swimming: Will challenge an opponent and defeat him.
• A ruler dreaming that he wishes to swim in the sea but the latter is agitated: He will fight another chief. If he crosses the sea by swimming (in the dream), he will defeat his opponent.
• A scholar swimming in the sea: Will acquire more learning.

Poverty If someone sees himself asking for something, and if he is given what he is asking for in a dream, it means that he will receive money without trouble, or that he will earn easy money, for earning one's livelihood with mere asking in a dream means a business without capital investment, or receiving without having to give anything in return. Camel • Owning or riding a she-camel: (1) If a bachelor, will get married. (2) If planning to travel, the journey will take place. (3) Will own some land or a house, et cetera.
• A she-camel giving milk in a mosque or an agricultural field: A fertile year to come. If people are scared or besieged, or if there is some intrigue or heresy in the air, all those things would disappear, as the she-camel milk represents normalcy in adoring God and observing the Tradition of the Holy Prophet.

Chicks (Baby; Chicken; Fowl) A chick in a dream represents a stolen or a missing child. The sound of chicks in a dream represents the voice of insolent people. Eating chick's meat in a dream means receiving unlawful or stolen money. Vessel The vessel symbolizes everything that saves the dreamer, by allegory to Noah’s ark. It refers particularly to Islam, which salvages human beings from their ignorance or atheism, or to the wife or slave-girl who immunizes the dreamer by ensuring his sexual sufficiency and saves him from the temptation of other women, which might lead to adultery or corruption in society. By so doing, the dreamer’s woman also saves him from Hell in the Hereafter. It also alludes to the dreamer’s parents who protected him when he was a baby from hunger and death, more particularly his mother, whose womb was like a ship he was riding in. Vulture • Owning a disobedient vulture without fearing it much: Will be dignified but become tyrannical and stubborn. Likewise, the dreamer will act as a tyrant in religious matters.55
• Seizing some of the vulture’s feathers or bones: Will be granted a fortune by a great king.
• Receiving a baby vulture as a gift: Will be blessed with a son who will become well noted. Conversely, the same dream during daytime means the dreamer will get so ill as to be nearing death. If he is scratched by the vulture, the disease will last quite a long time.

Teacher A grammar teacher and a language teacher in a dream represents honor, dignity, exalted rank, helping others, having important connections with people in authority, scholars, or he could represent understanding, clarity of speech, easy life, profits, marriage, children, or parents. Meadow (Beauty; Grass; Green; Knowledge; Paradise; Wisdom) In a dream, a meadow represents an easy and a trouble free money, or it could represent a wife who has little reservation and tactfulness. Seeing a meadow in a dream also means receiving inner knowledge that is imparted directly by Allah Almighty through mystical inspirations, or it could mean establishing a charitable endowment. Barley Barley corns in their fields in a dream represent spiritual awakening and a conscious endeavor to do good. Seeing barley in a dream also denotes easy and sweet income. If one barters wheat for barley in a dream, it means that he will forget the Quran and pursue poetry. Buying or carrying a measure of barley in a dream means that one may conceive a son who will grow to be pious and a man of knowledge, though his life will be short. Wolf The wolf symbolizes an unjust enemy, a liar, a thief, or a treacherous, wicked, and deceitful friend.
• A wolf entering one’s house: A thief will break in.
• A wolf changing into another kind of docile animal: A thief who will halt his activities and repent.
• Raising a baby wolf: Will bring up a foundling, the child of a thief who will ultimately destroy the dreamer’s home and squander his money.

Key The key symbolizes access to learning, especially the Holy Quran. It also means benefits, a safe, blessings, and support. Keys could refer as well to children, boys, messengers, money and the piercing of mysteries, or the pilgrimage to Mecca (Makkah). Other interpretations include the man and the woman, the former penetrating the latter like the key in the keyhole, the wrapped up baby, and the dead in his grave.
• Holding a key: God will respond to the dreamer’s prayers.

Mountain If the person is a merchant or a business man, a mountain in his dream represents profits and earning a good reputation. If climbing the mountain is easy, then there are no benefits in that climbing in the dream, for there are no benefits without hardships. If at the end of his climbing one thanks Allah Almighty for what he has reached in the dream, it means that he will become a just ruler. Wife Seeing one’s wife with somebody else means: (1) The dreamer will lose money or prestige. (2) His religious faith will be affected. Conversely, the same dream could mean that the dreamer will become self-sufficient and get all he aims for or that his wife is an industrious lady who will lead an easy life and that her family will get rich.
• Seeing one’s wife proposing you take another wife or a woman: Will part from her or have an argument.
• Seeing one’s wife being offered as a gift or wedded to somebody else: Will lose religious faith temporarily.

Carrying someone Carrying someone in a dream. If the weight is heavy on the carrier, it means trouble or harm caused by one's neighbor. If a woman sees herself carrying a heavy load, such a load could represent her gluttonous husband. Carrying a load over one's shoulders in a dream also represents one's sins. A pregnancy in a dream means comfort for the baby but discomfort for the mother. Seeing oneself carrying bushes from the woods means backbiting, slandering and reporting lies. Anus The anus, in general, symbolizes a subdued man; a flute player; a drummer; a discreet man who keeps secrets; some relative of the degree whose marriage is prohibited in Islam; the bottom of a priest; a stupid or foolish person; a mate; money; the dreamer’s purse, bank, house, shop, warehouse or box, parlour, et cetera; and all that comes into contact with the bottom, such as a toilet seat, a slip, a chair, a straw carpet, a saddle, an animal that humans ride, the valet in charge of the dreamer’s personal hygiene, and so on and so forth. It could also symbolize the door (key) to the man’s secrets, spanking and related obedience or disobedience, a trumpet, the blacksmith’s pair of bellows, a sewage facility, the words that come from the mouth—be they good or bad—the mouth that smells, and, paradoxically, festivities and joy. Other interpretations include the deserted house, the uncultivable land, any unholy place, the man whom people avoid because of his evil character or ignorance, or important matters on which the dreamer turns his back. A Woman Acquiring a Spinning Wheel If a woman dreams that she has acquired a spinning wheel, if she is expecting, she will give birth to a girl. Otherwise a sister will be born, if such a spinning wheel has a spindle or rod, it means she will get her daughter married. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Bird The singing of birds in a dream means hearing good words or receiving a valuable knowledge. A flock of birds in a dream represents easy earned wealth. A bird in a dream also represents a boy. Capturing a bird in a dream means having control over a powerful person. Killing a bird in a dream means fulfilling one's goal. Grill • A well-done grilled arm: Gains made by cheating on a woman. If it was underdone, it would mean absence.
• Buying a piece of grilled meat: Will hire someone.
• Eating grilled or cooked meat: (1) Gains, the hard way. (2) Fears, worries, and sorrow. (3) Illicit gains.
• A human being getting grilled: That person will be robbed or his life taken.
• Grilling a ram: Will fall sick and be jailed or tortured by the ruler.
• Grilling a ewe: Wife, mother, or any other female relative will be ill.
