A General Rule Pertaining to a Dream with Two Scenes with Opposing Interpretations When two separate things with opposing interpretations are seen in a dream then the stronger or better of the two interpretations will be given. As an example is a person sees a bathroom and himself as removing hair using a lotion or lime-whereas a bathroom represents grief and sorrow and removing hair using a lotion or lime represents the removing of grief and sorrow- it means that his grief and sorrow will be removed, for the dream of removing hair using lime or lotion is regarded as stronger or better. Incident - Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) seeing Prophet Esa in a dream Abdullah Bin Omar, God be pleased with them both, reported that Prophet Muhammad, Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam, has said: "Last night, I saw myself at the Ka'aba. There I saw a person with a fair skin and a most beautiful appearance circumambulating the Ka'aba. I asked: Who is this man?' A voice replied: "This is Jesus son of Mary.' Then walked an ugly-looking man, whose skin was wrinkled, and who was blind in his right eye. I asked: Who is this man?' A voice replied: 'This is Al-Mas'ih-Dajjal, the impostor of Christ.'" Sorcerer Sorcery and sorcerers refer to unjust statements, lies, dissension, machinations, devilish temptation, vanity, atheism, and the like or the separation of a married couple. They also symbolize ugly acts and baseless, unable, and mean business. The sorcerer or witch is an unfair, untrustworthy, wicked, and cruel enemy. The word sehr, Arabic for sorcery, is almost a homonym of sahar, the last sequence in dreaming before the break of day. Hence dreaming of that kind of dawn means that the dreamer will somehow be involved in magic, in either way, or will commit a sin for which he will have to implore God’s mercy, bearing in mind the Quranic verse: “… and ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness.” (“Al-Dhariyat” [The Winnowing Winds], verse 18.) That period of the night is also said to be the one when dreams are most likely to come true. The word is also close to sohoor, the very late meal that those who fast during the holy month of Ramadan take. In dreams it means that the hero will render his enemies mad; that he will repent if he disobeyed God’s commandments, that he will return to the right path, if an atheist, or that he will become prosperous. Seeing Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) Abu Hurrairah narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said: "In the end of time, the dreams of a believer will hardly ever fail to come true, and the most truthful of them in dreams will be the truest in speech among them. And dreams are three types: The good dreams wihich is glad tidings from Allah, dreams about something that has happened to the man himself, and dreams in which the Shaitan frightens someone. So when one of you sees what he dislikes, then he should get up and perform Salat." Abu Hurairah said: "I like fetters and dislikes, the iron collar. Interpretation according to Varying Times If a person dreams during the night that he is mounted on an elephant it suggests that he will profit immensely from a certain affair or contractor task. Bathroom • Dreaming of drinking hot water in a bathroom means one will have a fever or pleurisy.
• Dreaming of seeing a bathroom in one’s lane or district means the emergence of a lewd woman or an adulteress there.
• A man dreaming that he has become a bathroom attendant means he will marry a beautiful woman.
• A lady dreaming that she has become a bathroom attendant means she is trying to manage her own affairs and promote her interests.
• A man dreaming that he is building a bathroom means he will marry.
• If one dreams of entering a bathroom the hotter the water, the more worries, anger or fury, sickness, evil, and deep troubles. • Plenty of white and black mice in an inclined or jeopardized location or a well: Life will be shortened.
• Dreaming of a mouse during an afternoon nap: Will have a long life.
• Seeing a mouse in one’s clothes or bedding: Will have intercourse with an evil woman.
• A mouse gnawing on a person’s clothes: The time that passes and erodes everything.
• A mouse digging and searching: Beware of a searching thief.

Cities, Towns and Village Cities, towns and Villages imply that the observer of such a dream will encounter unchaste women if such places are not of multiple colours. Fasting Dreams about fasting have contradictory interpretations:
• Dreaming of being in the Muslims month of fasting (Ramadan): (1) Higher prices (inflation) and scarcity of foodstuffs. (2) Sound religion, end of worries, recovery from a disease, the settlement of debts.
• Having fasted the entire month of Ramadan: (1) Certainty after doubt. (2) If the dreamer was illiterate, he would memorize the Holy Quran.
• Dreaming of recognizing the utility of fasting and wishing to fast: Quick benefits from an unexpected source.
• Failing to fast during the month of Ramadan: (1) The dreamer is giving way to his instinct and passions. (2) The dreamer will have a blessed journey.
• Dreaming of having deliberately and overtly eaten throughout the month of Ramadan, instead of fasting like other Muslims: (1) The dreamer is disregarding religious rules. (2) The dreamer will commit a premeditated murder. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Grape However, in interpreting such dreams special care should be given to the season in which the dream took place. Was it the time when vineyards blossom? Was it the harvesting season? Was it the period of the year when the vineyards go dry? The fate of the dream or of the person dreamed of will depend on those vagaries.
• Having a dream involving grapes and a certain woman during the bad season: (1) If that woman is ill, she will die. (2) If pregnant, she will give birth to a girl.
• A bachelor dreaming of owning a vineyard: (1) Will marry a nice woman. (2) Will be in the good books of a philanthropist.
• Dreaming of grape or a vineyard during the bad season: (1) If newly wedded, wife will have difficulty getting to her husband. (2) If rich, dreamer will become poor or business will be sluggish. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Mouse The mouse symbolizes the dreamer’s household: those who dwell in his house—his wife and children, et cetera—a debauched woman, or, some say, a devilish Jewish woman or a Jew, as related by Al-Nabulsi. It could also refer to a thief. Many mice means profit and welfare. Mice of the same color allude to women. The rat is a digging thief.
• Dreaming of a mouse playing in one’s house: Prosperity will increase because, according to the ancient Arabs, mice invade only those places that are prosperous. And only people who are not hungry can afford to play.
• Seeing mice in one’s house: Dangerous women will enter that house.
• A mouse leaving one’s house: Livelihood and blessings will decrease.
• Owning a mouse: Will have a servant because, like servants, mice share the food of the master.

Prematurity (Also look under Beard.) Prematurity is not favoured by the interpreters of dreams, except for the ability to speak early, because, says Ibn Siren, man is a talking animal. So the act is more or less natural. But for the rest it heralds a scandal or death. Bad dreams of that kind involve, for example, little children with beards, getting married, or kids having a baby. Corn The green ear or spike of corn symbolizes the fertility of the year. But it could also mean the death or killing of young people. Yellow spikes refer to the demise of the elderly. The dry or dead corn standing on its stem is a sterile year, in view of verses 43 to 49 in the Quranic surah, or chapter, on Yusuf (Joseph). And the king said: Lo! I saw in a dream seven fat kine which seven lean were eating, and seven green ears of corn and other (seven) dry. O notables! Expound for me my vision, if ye can interpret dreams. They answered: Jumbled dreams! And we are not knowing in the interpretation of dreams. Disease • A man at war dreaming that he is ill: Will be injured.
• Dreaming that one is on his deathbed, then dies, and his wife gets married again: The subject will die as an atheist.

Yaaqoub (5) An absent son or a missing relative will come back, or there will be a reunion with loved ones. (5) A reference to grief, sorrow, and the loss of one’s family, especially the most cherished child; the interpreter of dreams; frequent travel; plenty of money; price increase; and lost or found objects. (6) Some wicked person will try to swindle the dreamer out of his money or drive a wedge between him and his son.

Child birth • A man dreaming that a girl was born to him: Will contract a debt.
• A man dreaming that a bunch of children were born to him: He should expect the traditional worries that cannot be dissociated from the education of children.
• A pregnant woman dreaming that she has given birth to a male child: Will deliver a girl. And vice versa.
• A woman dreaming that she has delivered a boy: Will ultimately have joy, receive good tidings, and get rid of a heavy burden.

Companions • Seeing one of the companions of the Holy Prophet, like Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, Omar ibn El-Khattab, Othman ibn Affan, and Ali ibn Abi Taleb, or all of them alive: The dreamer is blessed with a strong religious faith and a powerful family. He will also be promoted, dignified, and exalted.
• Seeing the Prophet’s companions repeatedly in one’s dreams: Things will go for the better.
