Flying • Flying from one’s home to an unknown house: (1) Will move to the grave. (2) Death is near and it is high time to repent.
• Flying while on horseback: (1) The end of prosperity. (2) Will be forced to relinquish an important post.
• The rider and the ridden returning to earth: Prosperity and, perhaps a high post.
• Trying to fly but being unable to or finding oneself upside down: Plenty of evil to come.

Irreligious Seeing an irreligious person sitting on a table with a plate of honey before him and refusing to eat from it in the dream means that he is ungrateful to his Lord, and that he does not confess to the innumerable favors which Allah Almighty has given him during this life. A gathering of irreligious people in a dream represents one's children in their infancy. Lion The lion is a ruler, a tyrant, or a powerful and very dangerous person, in view of the ferocity and devastating anger of that animal. It also symbolizes the warrior, the swindler, the thief, the treacherous worker, the policeman, the insatiable enemy, and perhaps hardships and death, because he who stares at it turns pale, loses his self-control, and is as good as dead, says Ibn Siren. Furthermore, it represents the ruler who embezzles public funds and commits injustice and the lurking enemy. The lioness symbolizes the daughter of a king. The baby lion (lion’s whelp or cub) is a boy. A man told Ibn Siren, “I dreamed that I was embracing and nursing a baby lion.” When the great seer looked at him, saw his humble appearance and miserable garments, and understood that he could not be eligible for any honour, he said, “What could you possibly have to do with the children of princes?!” and he added, “Is your wife, by chance, breast-feeding the son of a prince?” “Yes,” was the reply. Hell (1) Difficulties are ahead. (2) The dreamer is seeking some kind of learning that will bring him a tragedy. (3) The dreamer will shed others blood.
• The dreamer’s face turning black in Hell: He is befriending an enemy of God and condoning his actions, which will blacken his face in people’s eyes. He should beware of God.

Tremor (Labor pangs; Labor throes; Quake; Shaking; Shock) A tremor in a dream represents plants blooming, grass growing, vegetations sprouting, the blossoming of garden flowers, and the ripening of fruits. Door A door in a dream represents the guardian of the house. An open doors in a dream represents a source of income. The door of a house also represents the wife. If the appearance of one's door looks different from reality in a dream, it means changes in one's life. If it is broken or burned in the dream, it means difficulties for the resident guardian of that house. If one sees a small door within the main entrance door in the dream, it means that he will infringe on the privacy of others bedroom. It also means that one's wife may have a secret affair, or that a betrayal may be uncovered in one's house. If one sees lions jumping at his door in a dream, it means that insolent people will pursue his wife. If one sees himself seeking a door which he couldn't find in a dream, it means indecision. Governors If a governor sees himself hearing a petition from a deranged person, a stupid person, a street sweeper, a baker, a trash collector, a servant, a dancer or a musician in a dream, it means that the governor will consent to the opinions or advice of others in his ruling, or perhaps he will lean toward the interests of some opportunists. A governor in a dream also represents a father or a mother who teach their children justice and righteousness and in turn, the child will benefit from them and particularly if he follows their advice. Seeds If one sees himself trying to plant something which is not a plant, or to place a seed in an unsuitable ground in a dream, it means that he is wasting his money and squandering his property. To plant seeds in a dream also could mean knowledge, wealth or recognizing a noble trade. Sprouted seeds in a dream represent honor and status. Laughing If one sees the earth laughing in a dream, it means a good harvest in that land. If one sees a deceased person laughing in a dream, it means that he is in paradise, and enjoying the blessings of the hereafter. Laughing in a dream also represents light headedness, frivolity and buoyancy. This is particularly true when it denotes capable people, or people in authority, where laughing in a dream could mean their dismissal from office. Tree The tree symbolizes religion and sects in view of the allegory in the Holy Quran of the good tree (date palm) and the good words: “Seest thou not how Allah coineth a similitude: A goodly saying, as a goodly tree, its roots set firm, branches reaching into Heaven.” (“Ibrahim” [Abraham], verse 24.) Likewise, the Muslims Holy Prophet likened the good tree to the Muslim. The one he saw himself holding in a spiritual odyssey,52 he said, was the duty of praying, which he had brought to his followers. Ancient Arab dream interpreters said that whereas the tree referred to the man’s deeds, religion, or ego, its leaves symbolizes his character, its beauty his nice shape and clothing, its branches his brothers, relatives, folk, and beliefs, its heart his hidden essence and his secrets, its bark his appearance, skin, and all that he uses to adorn himself with, and its semen his faith, piety, assets, and life. Flowers If an impostor sees himself carrying a bouquet of flowers in a dream, it means constipation, while if a sick person sees that in a dream, it means his death. A bouquet of many varieties of flowers and colors in a dream represent the world, its constantly renewed youthfulness and its material pleasures. Flying • Flying out of a house: Death.
• Flying and rising steadily in the sky: Quick harm will befall the dreamer.
• Rising steadily, then stabilizing: Will escape harm.
• Flying vertically: Benefits, promotion, and leadership.
• Ascending vertically without wings: Elevation in life as much as the dreamer rose and the fulfilment of wishes.

Jihad, Religious War, Or Muslim Struggle • Seeing people going to Jihad: Those people will emerge victorious and become stronger and greater.
• Seeing oneself fighting the atheist alone with the sword and striking right and left: The dreamer will triumph over enemies.
• Being in a religious battle and staying on the sidelines or turning away: The dreamer will no longer endeavour for the welfare of his family, will stop supporting his relatives, and will no longer be religious, in view of a verse in the Holy Quran: “Would ye then, if ye were given the command, work corruption on Earth and sever your ties of kinship?” (Muhammad, verse 22.) Star Stars symbolize people. Those that have a masculine name represent men; those with a feminine name allude to women. Big ones refer to notables, small ones to youths, children, or slaves. The ones the Arabs used as guiding marks when they moved in the desert are the Prophet Muhammad’s companions. Stars that had once upon a time been worshipped instead of God and were thus metamorphosed, says Ibn Siren, like the Dog Star or Sirius, Venus, and Canopus, symbolize irreligious and evil persons. For a king, the stars are his soldiers and followers; for a bride or a bridegroom the stars are her or his entourage.

Jinn (Sing. Jinni) A creation from a smokeless fire. Among the Jinn, some are believers while others are satans. This is in contrast to human beings who are created from earth and among them some are believers and others are human satans. Jinn in a dream represent fraud, deceit, cunning, perfidy, treachery, theft, alcoholism, invented religious practices, travels, music, bars, tricks, sleight of hand, illusion, sorcery and magic. Flying • Flying on one’s back: (1) Will have a comfortable sea journey. (2) Unemployment. (3) Death, if the dreamer is ill.
• Flying with wings: Change of condition. If destination is reached, situation will improve. For the poor, it means plenty of financial gains.
• Flying like a pigeon in the air and having a bird’s-eye view as if controlling those on earth and being in a position to benefit or harm anybody at will: Dignity and strength.
• Flying happily from one country to another, but feeling heavy and unable to benefit or harm anyone or touch anything: The dreamer is yearning for money.

Air Standing in the air in a dream means being honored or acknowledged by a governor, though it will not last. If one has exaggerated hopes, arrogance, pride, or if he is a self-centered individual, then his floating in the air represents mere disturbed dreams. Walking in the air without ascending or descending in a dream means receiving dignity, honor and earning lawful money. If one does not qualify for it, then walking in the air in his dream means travels. Hanging in the air between the heavens and the earth in a dream represents a concerned heart and uncertainty about what to do! Being Given Victory Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) said, "I have been given the keys of eloquent speech and given victory with awe (cast into the hearts of the enemy), and while I was sleeping last night, the keys of the treasures of the earth were brought to me till they were put in my hand." Farmer A farmer in a dream represents a man of good deeds. His planting, plowing, harvesting or any of the phases of his work represents his deeds. When successful in the dream, it means that his business will succeed in real life. When it indicates business in the dream, it means prosperity and when it suggests one's deeds, it means repentance. Naked Nakedness in a dream also means death. As for religious and pious people, nakedness in a dream means renouncing the world, or increase in their devotion. If a farmer sees an unknown woman naked in a dream, it means that the time has come to turn the earth over and to prepare it for a new crop. If their is a true witness or an acceptable reference, then one's nakedness in the dream means attending the pilgrimage in Mecca. Nakedness in a dream also means putting on a new garment.
