Qabil - Cain • Seeing Qabil: Will behave like a tyrant and unjustly kill a person, in view of a verse in the Holy Quran: “So (the other’s) mind imposed on him the killing of his brother, so he slew him and became one of the losers.” (“Al-Maidah” [The Table Spread], verse 30.)
• A person who is not a killer dreaming of Qabil: Will do something and regret it in view of the Quranic verse: “Then Allah sent a raven scratching up the ground, to show him how to hide his brother’s naked corpse. He said: Woe unto me! Am I not able to be as this raven and so hide my brother’s naked corpse! And he became repentant.” (“Al-Maidah” [The Table Spread], verse 31.) Child birth If a woman gives birth to a cat in a dream, it means that her child will grow to be a thief. Childbirth in a dream means relief from hardships, recovering from illness or departure from one's home or neighbourhood. Childbirth in a dream also means comfort, relaxation, payment of one's debts and repentance from sin. If a woman gives birth to a son in a dream, it denotes the conclusion of her sufferings, glad tidings, payment of her debts or repentance from sin. Handshake • Shaking hands with and embracing an enemy: Cordiality will replace hostility, as the Holy Prophet said that handshaking increases cordiality.
• An enemy coming to shake hands or greet the dreamer: He is seeking reconciliation.
• Shaking hands with someone with whom there is no hostility: The dreamer will come to his rescue. In case there is a feud, the latter will win over.
• Shaking hands with a sheikh or old man the dreamer knows: The dreamer will marry or make love to a beautiful woman and eat all sorts of fruits, in view of a verse in the Holy Quran: “They and their wives, in pleasant shade, on thrones reclining; theirs the fruits and theirs (all) that they ask….” (“Ya-Sin,” verses 55–57.) Kill • Having been killed: Long life.
• Being killed without identifying the killer: (1) The dreamer does not believe in God. (2) The dreamer does not thank God for His blessings, in view of the Quranic expression: “Man is (self-) destroyed: how ungrateful!” (“ Abas” [He Frowned], verse 17.)
• Being killed and identifying the killer: Will benefit and obtain money, other riches, and power, perhaps through the killer or his partner, in view of a verse in the Holy Quran: “… Whoso is slain wrongfully, We have given power unto his heir….” (“Bani Israil” [The Children of Israel], verse 33.) Elephant • Seeing an elephant and failing to ride it: Prestige and fortune will decline. Conversely, riding it, especially by night, means that the dreamer, if eligible, will triumph over a huge but niggardly king (or chief). If the dreamer is not eligible, the same dream would indicate that the dreamer will enter a war but be defeated or get killed in it, in view of the following verses in the Holy Quran: “Hast thou not seen how thy Lord dealt with the owners of the Elephant? Did He not bring their stratagem to naught.” (“Al-Fil” [The Elephant], verses 01–02.)

Poet In general, seeing a poet in a dream means concoctions, lies, adultery, alcoholism, greed, or someone who writes poems for money and fame. If the person seeing the dream memorizes poetic verses containing words of wisdom, or verses glorifying Allah Almighty, or praising His Messenger Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam, or if one becomes a poet who recites such poems in the dream, it means that he will acquire knowledge, status, honor and receive guidance. Gold • Seeing gold: Sorrow and forced expenditure.
• Seeing gold covered with mud or hidden somewhere or somehow, though you know where it is: Failure.
• Perceiving gold as stored somewhere or placed in bags without seeing its color: Good dream; should expect gains, provided you are a pious person.
• Wearing gold, in general: Will enter into a marital relationship with people of a lower standard.
• Wearing a gold bracelet or bangle: Will inherit.
• Wearing two gold bracelets or bangles: Troubles are ahead by your own making, as for men gold, especially in the form of bracelets, is usually a bad omen or a reference to liars, as reportedly stated by the Holy Prophet. But for a virtuous person the same dream could mean more obedience to God and greater prosperity, in view of a verse in the Holy Quran that reads: “… therein they will be given armlets of gold and will wear green robes of finest silk and gold embroidery.” (“Surat Al-Kahf” [The Cave], verse 31.) The same dream could also mean gains achieved with hardships.

Deceit It is the one seen deceived in the dream who will have the upper hand in reality, in view of a verse in the Holy Quran: “And if they would deceive thee, then lo! Allah is sufficient for thee. Tree • Seeing an unknown tree in a house: A possible fight or quarrel, in view of a Quranic verse: “But nay, by thy Lord, they will not believe [in truth] until they make thee judge of what is in dispute (Arabic: shagara) between them …” (“Al-Nisae” [Women], verse 65.)

Burial The burial symbolizes ten things: (1) Jail. (2) Poverty or misery. (3) Travel. (4) Distance. (5) Delay or procrastination. (6) Forbidden sex. (7) Declining capacity. (8) Gloating or rejoicing at another’s misfortune. (9) Uneasiness and paucity of resources. (10) Things that turn sour.
• Attending a burial: Will receive a double reward from God.
• Being dead and buried: (1) Will embark on a long journey and earn plenty of money that will revive the dreamer’s economy, in view of verses in the Holy Quran that read: “Then causeth him to die, and burieth him; then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life.” (“Abasa” [He Frowned], verses 21–22.) Poem Memorizing a poem or a verse from a poem in a dream means engaging in a business from which one will acquire great knowledge, or it could mean profits or success in whatever trade one chooses to practice. If one sees himself in a court of justice reciting poems for money in the dream, it means that he will give a false testimony. If he recites a poem for a gathering in a dream, it means that he will relate a wise saying, though he himself inclines to hypocrisy. If one sees himself listening to a poem in a dream, it means that he will associate himself with a group of people who do not foster the truth. In a dream, poems also represent falsehood or vain talk. Reciting a poem or listening to one and memorizing its verses in a dream means that one should take heed to what it says. Zikr (Hymn; Remembrance of Allah; Songs of Allah's love; Supplications) If one sees himself in a dream participating in a circle of people remembering Allah Almighty, or calling upon His most beautiful name, or invoking His divine attributes, or reading the Quran, or reciting devotional songs, it means that such location will be built as a holy place to celebrate Allah's praises. The goodness of that place depends on the quality of reading, or the degree of devotion seen in the dream. When it is an ascetic song in the dream, it means that one's deputyship is established correctly, but if one sees himself singing a sensual love song, then it means temptations. Prison • Choosing one’s jail: God will save the dreamer from the malice of a woman who is tempting him to falter in view of the Quranic verse: “He said: Oh my Lord! Prison is more dear than that unto which they urge me, and if Thou fend not off their wiles from me I shall incline unto them and become of the foolish.” (“Yusuf” [Joseph], verse 33.)

Paradise • Picking the fruits of Paradise to feed someone else: The dreamer is conveying his learning to somebody who benefits from it; but he himself doesn’t.
• Throwing Paradise into Hell: The dreamer will sell a beautiful garden and consume its price.
• Drinking from the waters of Al-Kawthar (Abundance), the heavenly fountain of unbounded grace and knowledge, mercy and goodness, truth and wisdom, spiritual power and insight, which was granted to the Muslim’s Holy Prophet and somehow to all men and women who are sincere devotees of God: Headship and victory over the enemy in view of the Quranic verses: “Lo! Leg If both legs are amputated in a dream, it means that he will lose everything he has. If one's leg seems fat in the dream, it denotes a good financial standing, or it could mean buying a good car, or receiving a pleasing gift. If a woman sees herself having hairy legs in a dream, it means humiliation or a trick that she will play before her husband, or that her private life will become public knowledge, or that she will receive spiritual guidance after that she lived in heedlessness. A leg in a dream also denotes hardships. If one sees his legs banded or tide together in a dream, it means fear, poverty and adversities. Exposing one's legs in a dream means abandoning prayers, and it could mean humiliation. Legs in a dream also signify writing, admonition, advice, reading a book, wisdom, one's rank, pleasure, pitfalls, fault in advising, or wrong interpretation of religious matters. A Material Gift from Allah If a person sees Allah giving him something pertaining to the world, it means he will soon be afflicted with sickness. It may also mean that some hardship will befall him. Fly • A traveller dreaming that flies have landed on his head: Should fear highwaymen who could intercept and rob him, in view of a verse in the Holy Quran that reads as follows: “… And if the fly took something from them, they could not rescue it from it. So weak are (both) the seeker and the sought!” (“Al-Hajj” [The Pilgrimage], verse 73.)
• A fly landing on something belonging to the dreamer: Hide your money from eventual thieves.
