Knife (Dagger; Kitchen knife) In a dream, a knife represents the servant of the house or its sire who strives to serve and benefit his family and friends. Its sharpness represents the effectiveness of his commands, the force by which they are carried, or one's magnanimity and distinct personality. If a woman sees herself carrying a knife, or if she gives someone a knife in a dream, it represents her love for a famous person. A pencil sharpening knife in a dream represents an author or a writer. A slaughtering knife in a dream represents a butcher, while a soldier's knife means strength and service. Swim According to Ibn Siren, it is better to wake up after swimming one’s way to safety than to regain consciousness while still struggling in the water.
• Swimming: Will challenge an opponent and defeat him.
• A ruler dreaming that he wishes to swim in the sea but the latter is agitated: He will fight another chief. If he crosses the sea by swimming (in the dream), he will defeat his opponent.
• A scholar swimming in the sea: Will acquire more learning.

Yahya • Seeing the prophet Yahya (John): (1) Will become very pious, fear God, be immune from plagues, and have no equal in view of the following verses in the Holy Quran: “O Zakariya! (Zacharia) Lo! We bring thee tidings of a son whose name is Yahya; on none by that name have We conferred distinction before.”62 (“Maryam” [Mary], verse 07.) Then Zakariya prayed unto his Lord and said: My Lord! Bestow upon me of Thy bounty goodly offspring. Lo! Thou art the Hearer of Prayer… And the angels called to him as he stood praying in the sanctuary: Allah gives thee glad tidings of (a son whose name is) Yahya, (who cometh) to confirm a word from Allah, lordly, chaste, a Prophet of the righteous.” (“Al-Imran” [The Imran Family], verses 38–39.) (2) Will enjoy good life and a prominent position. (3) Will receive good tidings. YAWN. Yawning means that the dreamer will be ill. YUNUS. Dreaming of the Prophet Yunus (Jonah) means: (1) The dreamer is an impulsive and highly emotional person. (2) His hot temper might drive him to jail, but only for a while; then he will be saved from trouble. However, joy and happiness will not last forever. Expulsion (Banishment; Chasing away; Dismissal; Driving away; Eviction; Exile; Expel) Expulsion in a dream means imprisonment. It also means establishing the superiority of the one who gives the order and the proof of the subject's guilt. If one is exiled from his homeland in a dream, it means that he may enter a jail. If one is expelled from paradise in a dream, it means that he may experience poverty. If one evicts a man of knowledge or screams at him, or bewilders him in a dream, it means that he will face an extraordinary misfortune and confront a threatening and a cruel enemy. Gold • Seeing gold: Sorrow and forced expenditure.
• Seeing gold covered with mud or hidden somewhere or somehow, though you know where it is: Failure.
• Perceiving gold as stored somewhere or placed in bags without seeing its color: Good dream; should expect gains, provided you are a pious person.
• Wearing gold, in general: Will enter into a marital relationship with people of a lower standard.
• Wearing a gold bracelet or bangle: Will inherit.
• Wearing two gold bracelets or bangles: Troubles are ahead by your own making, as for men gold, especially in the form of bracelets, is usually a bad omen or a reference to liars, as reportedly stated by the Holy Prophet. But for a virtuous person the same dream could mean more obedience to God and greater prosperity, in view of a verse in the Holy Quran that reads: “… therein they will be given armlets of gold and will wear green robes of finest silk and gold embroidery.” (“Surat Al-Kahf” [The Cave], verse 31.) The same dream could also mean gains achieved with hardships.
• Wearing a golden or silver anklet: Will experience fear or go to jail. In any case, anklets, for men, symbolize chains, and all sorts of jewels and ornaments for them are bad, save the pendent, the necklace, the ring, and the earring. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Thunder If the sound of thunder is heard during the first ten days of December in a dream, it means the death of famous people within the Western hemisphere, inflation, rising prices, degradation of social behavior, decrease in harvest, inflation, or playing dirty politics. Hearing the sound of thunder during the last seven days of December in a dream means that the winter will be cold and dry, though the forthcoming spring will be cool and wet. Hearing the sound of thunder in the first six days of the month of January in a dream means that a major event will take place, such as an earthquake, death, destruction, or a war in Iraq. If this dream is witnessed during the last week of the month of January, then it represents a solar eclipse, or the death of a Western leader, a plague, or the birth of a planet that signifies the destruction of a great city on earth. Hearing the sound of thunder on the first day of February in a dream means a good harvest, lowering or stabilization of prices, discovering a new disease in the East, death in the seas, heavy rains in Mecca, fear, devastation and famines in Ethiopia, or that a Western leader will move his armies to the East and control the land for a short period of time . Bier • Plenty of biers put on the ground in a given place: The folk of that place are corrupt and indulging in adultery.
• A woman dreaming that she has died and been carried on a bier: Will get married. If already married, will relinquish her religion.
• Biers in the souk (marketplace): That market is full of adulterated goods and hypocrisy.
• Falling from one’s bier: Will be demoted; business and other interests will be stalled, and prestige will be lost.
• A well-known man placed on a bier with nobody approaching or carrying it: The subject of the dream will go to jail. If he is a stranger: Bad omen for the dreamer. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Juice Juice is a very good dream.
• Extracting juice: (1) If poor, will become rich. (2) If facing hardships, will be relieved and enjoy abundance. (3) If ill, will be cured. (4) If locked in jail, will be released. (5) If indebted, will settle all debts and come out with some benefit. (6) If a student, will acquire useful learning. (7) If a bachelor, will get married and, with the semen coming out of the body like juice, will have children and a fruitful (prosperous) life.

Vagina
• Penetrating a vagina: (1) The dreamer will place a fat mutton in a furnace. (2) He will put a paste in an oven. (3) He will eat an exotic fruit.
• Seeing the vagina of an identified woman: The dreamer will uncover her secret.
• The vagina of an identified woman looking nice and healthy: Her husband or son will be better off.
• A man with a vagina: He is not faring well and is being humiliated, or the reverse. If he has worries or is in jail, he will be freed.
• A man standing trial or being tracked by an enemy seeing a vagina (or, better, if he goes into it): The dreamer will win his case or defeat and crush his enemy. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Carrot In a dream, carrots represent reprimand, suppression or an obscene and an odious person. However, if one sees himself holding or eating a carrot in a dream, it means overcoming one's difficulties. It is also said that holding or eating carrots in a dream means grieve and depression. Blindness If one's sight explodes with a lightning in a dream, it means his death. Blindness also could denote deafness, disregarding the world or renouncing it or hiding one's secrets. As for a foreigner, seeing himself blind in a dream means never returning to his homeland. Blindness in a dream for a prisoner means his release from jail. If a seeker, a student, or a businessman sees himself blind in a dream, it means that he may never reach his goals. Shoulder The shoulders symbolize brothers, a friend, a partner, or an employee of the dreamer. One shoulder is a woman. The side or flank of the shoulder is the dreamer’s beauty, but also his whims. Thick or beautifully covered shoulders herald a trip and powerful action. But for prisoners the same dream means that they will stay in jail for a long time, in view of their ability to carry their own shackles and heavy weights like rocks on their shoulder.
• Having an ailment in the shoulders: Brothers will be ill or die.

• Drawing lots against someone and winning: Will triumph in a righteous matter.
• Drawing lots and being rejected: Will have worries and go to jail, then be saved, in view of the story of Yunus (Jonah) in the Holy Quran: “And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent [to warn], when he fled unto the laden ship. And they drew lots and was of those rejected; and the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; and had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah), he would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised.” (“Al-Saffat” [Those Who Set the Ranks], verses 139–44.) Appearance (Emergence; Manifestation; Visibility) In a dream, if one sees something that is kept away from him as a secret, it means experiencing comfort after suffering from trials, receiving compensation after suffering from injustice, conceiving a child after having given up hope or the like examples. A revealed secret on time in a dream means fulfillment of a promise, satisfying one's needs, repayment of one's debts, arriving of a long awaited person from a journey, release of a prisoner from his jail, and for a woman, it could mean becoming pregnant. Cooking Cooking on fire in a dream means attaining one's goal or achieving one's purpose. If one sees himself preparing food on fire, and if his food is well cooked in the dream, it means that he will attain success and become famous. Otherwise, if his food is not well cooked in the dream, it means that he will fail to attain his goal. Cooking in a dream also means provoking matters of interest. If the food is well cooked in the dream, then it means money and profits. Cooking raw meat in a dream and finding it hard to cook means getting involved in something that will not mature. Otherwise, if it does cook, and if one can eat from it in the dream, then it means success. Cooking mutton in a dream means living an honorable life, being generous and earning lawful money. Prison If one sees himself imprisoned and tide-up by someone in authority in a dream, it represents adversities he wishes for them to be removed. Walking out of such an imprisonment in a dream means relief from such adversities If one is travelling, it means that he is a heedless, and if he is sick, it means that his sickness is a prolonged one. It is also said that imprisonment in a dream may mean that one's prayers are answered and that his difficulties and distress will be removed. If one sees himself incarcerated in an unknown jail of an unknown location and whose dwellers have uncommon appearance in a dream, such a prison then represents his grave. Prison (Also see IMPRISONMENT.) The same interpretation as for Bathroom applies to prison. It also symbolizes disease that cripples the human being or halts his activities, any hindrance especially relating to travel, the grave, and Hell, because it is the place where atheists and criminals receive their chastisement. Likewise, life on earth is a prison for the chaste and a sort of paradise for the disbelievers.
• Being in jail: (1) If the dreamer is embarking on a journey, travel will be cancelled or interrupted due to technical troubles, a war, or some other reason. (2) If the dreamer is not planning a trip, he will enter some place where he will disobey God, says Ibn Siren, like a church, an atheistic or heretical temple, a whorehouse, or a bar, depending on his habits and what he is most likely to do. Burial The burial symbolizes ten things: (1) Jail. (2) Poverty or misery. (3) Travel. (4) Distance. (5) Delay or procrastination. (6) Forbidden sex. (7) Declining capacity. (8) Gloating or rejoicing at another’s misfortune. (9) Uneasiness and paucity of resources. (10) Things that turn sour.
• Attending a burial: Will receive a double reward from God.
• Being dead and buried: (1) Will embark on a long journey and earn plenty of money that will revive the dreamer’s economy, in view of verses in the Holy Quran that read: “Then causeth him to die, and burieth him; then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life.” (“Abasa” [He Frowned], verses 21–22.) Mountain • Launching the athan, or call for prayers, from the mountaintop while facing the Qiblah (the direction of Mecca (Makkah)) or throwing arrows from there: The dreamer will become famous as far as his voice or arrows reached, and his orders will be carried out in that range.
• Standing afraid on a mountain: Will be secure. For a person travelling by sea such a dream means that the ship will have to return or moor at the nearest port because of some technical trouble. But the dreamer will be safe. However, according to Ibn Siren, fleeing from a ship to seek refuge on a mountain means that the dreamer will perish, in view of the story of Noah’s son as related in the Quranic verses: “And it sailed with them amid waves like mountains, and Noah cried onto his son—and he was standing aloof—O my son! Come ride with us, and be not with the disbelievers. He said: I shall betake me to some mountain that will save me from the water. (Noah) said: This day there is none that saveth from the commandment of Allah save him on whom He hath had mercy. Handcuff (Fettered; Marriage; Shackled; Tied-up) If one sees his hand tied to his neck in a dream, it means that he does not pay Allah's rights upon what he earns. If one's hand is tied around his neck in a dream, it also could mean that he will desist from wrongdoing. If both hands are tied-up in the dream, it denotes his stinginess. If one is captured and handcuffed by the authorities in a dream, it means that he will be thrown into jail or fall into difficulties.
