Incident - Reciting Prayers for Benefiting The Pious Souls Someone used to regularly recite special prayers and offer their blessing to the benefit of the soul of Rabi'a Al-'Adawiyyah, God be pleased with her. Finger (Also see Dye.) Fingers are the brother’s children, since it is believed that the hand represents the brother. Those of the right hand refer to the Muslims five compulsory daily prayers. The left hand fingers are the children of the brother or sister. The thumb is the dawn prayer, the index finger the noon prayer, the middle finger the early afternoon prayer, the ring finger, the sunset prayer, and the little finger the evening prayer.
• Having long fingers: The dreamer observes his religious duties, especially prayer. The reverse is also true.
• The imam (the Muslims spiritual leader) having long fingers: He is too greedy, tyrannical, and unfair to his subjects.
• A finger falling: Will abandon the related prayer.
• Seeing one finger in the place of another: The dreamer is performing the right prayer at the wrong time.

Five fingers (Hand) In a dream, the fingers of the right hand represent the daily five time prayers. The thumb represents the pre-dawn prayer, the index represents the midday prayer, the middle finger represents the mid-afternoon prayer, the ring finger represents the sunset prayer, and the little finger represents the evening prayer. As for the fingers of the left hand in a dream, they are interpreted to represent one's nephews. To cross or intertwine one's fingers in a dream means difficulties and poverty. Fasting Observing a votive perpetual fast in a dream also represents a pious and a religious person. If the person is a sinner, such votive fast in a dream also may mean that he will get nothing out of what he wants. Paying the due charity (Sadaqat-ul Fitr) after completing one's fast in a dream means recovering from an illness. Mosque • A stranger leading the prayers in a mosque whose imam (spiritual leader) is ill: The iman will die.
• The dreamer’s house turning into a mosque: The dreamer will obtain dignity and promote virtue and justice.
• Entering the mosque with people who dig a hole for the dreamer: The latter will get married.
• The mosque turning into a bathhouse: An unsuspected man is corrupt and irreligious.
• A man praying in the prayer niche: Good augury.

Fasting If one is sick, it means that he will recover from his illness. If he is lost in heedlessness, it means that Allah Almighty will grant him guidance. If he is indebted, it means that he will be able to repay his debts. If in his dream, one intentionally breaks his fast during the prescribed fast of the holy month of Ramadan, it means that he could kill someone. Similarly, if one sees himself killing someone in a dream, it means that he has intentionally broke his obligatory fast. Observing the two months of atonement for the sin of breaking the fast during the holy month of Ramadan or for any such fast for the expiation of sins in a dream means that one may fall sick and repent to Allah Almighty from his sins. Mihrab (arb. Alcove; Niche; Prayer niche) In a dream, a prayer niche or a mihrab represents a leader, a guide, or the Imam of a mosque. Praying at the mihrab in a dream means glad tidings. If a woman sees herself praying at the mihrab of a mosque in a dream, it means that she will beget a son or a daughter. In a dream, the alcoves or shelters that poor people use for their retreats in a mosque represent sincerity, love, devotion, remembrance of Allah Almighty, standing in night prayers, and aloofness. Meadow A meadow in a dream also may represent the Book of revelations, the Quran, knowledge, wisdom, or paradise. If one sees himself walking from the midst of meadows into a salt swampland or a marsh in a dream, it means that he follows innovations, or that he indulges in sinful actions. Hearing the call to prayers from inside a meadow in a dream means a good deed, guidance after heedlessness, repentance, attending the congregational prayers, or following a funeral procession. Fasting Fasting a votive fast or a vowed fast for the purpose of an attainment in a dream means attaining one's goal, joy and happiness. Observing a votive perpetual or an ongoing fast in a dream means undertaking a heavy responsibility or following innovation, or it could mean becoming a loner or abstaining from talking to others, or that one would only talk if the subject is beneficial to others, for fasting in a dream also means silence. Walk • Walking on a mountaintop: Will rise so high that even kings will be under your command.
• Walking in the marketplace: A bequest is ahead, and the dreamer might obtain a share of it.

Amulet (Incantation; Prayer; Talisman; A prayer worn around the neck or cherished to word off evil and attract good fortune.) When a prayer is read in a dream following the prophetic traditions to help a sick person in the dream, it means protection from sufferings, dispelling distress and dissipation of sadness. If the amulet or the talisman carries a personal spell or wish, then it is nothing but lies, falsehood, affectation and hypocrisy. Fasting (Armor; Protection) Fasting in a dream represents vows and offerings. Interrupting the fast in a dream means an illness, a journey or backbiting someone. If one interrupts his obligatory fast through forgetfulness in a dream, it means that he will receive a pleasing gift or money. Fasting in a dream also means honor, rising in station, or it could mean repentance from sin, repayment of a debt, penitence for a sinner or begetting a son. Observing the obligatory fast of the month of Ramadan in a dream means understanding something about which one has doubt or recognizing the truth without falsification or distortion. If one finds that he is the only person observing the obligatory fast in the dream, and if he is unlettered, it means that he will memorize the Holy Quran, attain a spiritual maturity and receive glad tidings. Retreat In a dream, a spiritual retreat represents devotion, prayers, hunger, votive fast, depression, humbling oneself, controlling one's passions and desires. If one secludes himself in a known location in a dream, it means that such a place is a source of comfort. If one takes refuge in his shop in a dream, it means clinging to one's livelihood. Hell (1) Difficulties are ahead. (2) The dreamer is seeking some kind of learning that will bring him a tragedy. (3) The dreamer will shed others blood.
• The dreamer’s face turning black in Hell: He is befriending an enemy of God and condoning his actions, which will blacken his face in people’s eyes. He should beware of God.
• Dreaming of being locked in Hell without knowing when one had entered: The subject is still poor, deprived, and miserable on earth and neither prays nor fasts nor observes any religious tenet. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Tahayyat (arb. Testimonial greetings) The last segment of the regular Islamic prayers which is recited in a sitting posture. Once completed, one may ask for his personal needs or pray for others. If one reaches this segment of his prayer in a dream, it represents a condition or an agreement that must be fulfilled between two partners, or it could mean finding a guardian for one's intended wife (i.e., her father, uncle, brother, etcetera), without whom the marriage is not legitimate. Fasting • Fasting during two consecutive months to expiate or atone: The dreamer will repent for a sin.
• Dreaming that the Ramadan fast is due after the month is over: The dreamer will get ill.
• Fasting voluntarily: The dreamer will not be sick during that year in view of the saying by the Holy Prophet: “Fast and you will recover.”

Barefoot In a dream, it means toiling in one's life and exhaustion. This is thus interpreted if one does not actually see himself going through the motion of taking off his shoes and walking barefooted. Otherwise, in that case, it means that he will receive an appointment to a high ranking position. Walking barefooted in a dream is also interpreted as unloading one's burdens and relief from pressure, divorce or death in one's family. If one sees himself travelling barefooted, it represents a debt that he could not repay.
