Incident - Allah and Ahmed Ibn Hanbal Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal once saw God Almighty in a dream and asked Him: "Lord, how do Thy near ones get to that station?" God Almighty answered: "Through reciting My words." Ahmad Ibn Hanbal then asked: "With understanding, or without understanding?" Incident - The Reward of Tawakkul (Trust in Allah) A man said to his close friend: "If you die before me, come and tell me about what you met with." The other man replied: "And you too!" After one of them had died, he came to his friend in a dream and said: "Trust in God Almighty, and depend on Him alone, for I saw no reward better than that of (Tawakkul) trust." Incident - Allah giving piece of iron and a sip of vinegar It is related that a man came to Jafar As-saadiq (RA) and said: “ I dreamt that Allah gave me a piece of iron and a sip of vinegar. What is the Interpretation of this dream?” The Imaam replied: “Iron depicts hardships, for Allah says in Quran : And we have sent iron wherein is material for mighty war. But it is possible that your children may learn this tradeoff Dawood (AS) (for he was a blacksmith by trade). As for vinegar, it means you will be afflicted with a disease from sometime, at the same time acquiring abundant wealth. Record keepers (Angels; Spiritual) Representing the heedful angels in charge of guarding the writings of the Preserved Tablets, and the heavenly beings or scribes in charge of recording peoples deeds. Speaking The speech of inanimate objects in a dream always means good, provides a lesson or gives advice. Animal talk in a dream also represents punishment and suffering. The talk of one's limbs in a dream means trouble from one's relatives, or it could mean committing a sin. The speech of moving shadows in a dream means evoking jinn or evil spirits. Being possessed by such spirits and speaking on their behalf in a dream signifies temptation, trouble, corruption and evil. Any words that agree with Allah's revelations in a dream must be hearkened to and complied with. The opposite is also true. Angels If one sees them looking like women in the dream, it means that he lies before Allah Almighty. If a pious person sees an angel telling him in a dream " Read Allah's Book. " It means that one will attain happiness in his life. If an impious person sees an angel in a dream telling him " Read your own records. " It means that he may go astray. If one sees the angels giving him glad tidings and congratulating him in a dream, it means that he will beget a blessed son who will grow to be righteous and an example to be followed. Blunder (Foolish talk; Nonsense; or people's foolish talk) Blunder in a dream means disobedience, sin or refusing to accept a good advice. Cane Canes symbolize slander or any person who is faithful to nobody and nothing and has no religion. They also refer to trashy people and evil talk.
• Relying on a cane or reed: Little is left of the dreamer’s life; he will become poor and die as such, and so is the case with anything hollow.
• Sucking sugarcane: Will do something or get involved in something that will provoke a lot of talk over and over again.

Irrationality If one acts irrationally in a dream, it means that he will act with disgrace, stupidity or shamelessness in real life. Being irrational in a dream and intentionally using violent or insulting words, and acting deliberately in an evil way means despair of Allah's mercy. It also means refuting or opposing something. It is also interpreted to mean attending to one's prayers without the ritual ablution. Irrationality in a dream also may mean insolent behavior, or ill speaking of peoples honor or chastity. Speaking If a beast talks to someone in a dream, it means his death. If one's head or nose talk to him in a dream, it means that whoever these two members represent in one's life (See Body) will suffer from an adversity. If a tree speaks to someone in his dream, it means benefiting from that line of thinking. A talking tree in a dream means a fight, or the end of one's exile. The speech of a tree in a dream also could mean exaltation. Whatever a baby says in a dream is true. It also could mean falling into sin. If a allahly and a spiritual person sees a baby talking to him in a dream, it means that he will witness wonders or a miracle, or become a witness to an unbelievable agreement. Astrologer (Foreseer; Fortuneteller; Predictor; Soothsayer) Seeing an astrologer in a dream means associating oneself with spiritual masters and witnessing some of their miraculous signs. An astrologer in a dream also may mean knowledge of people's secrets, curiosity, inquisitiveness, meddling in people's affairs, divulging people's secrets, soothsaying, fortune-telling, backbiting, predicting the future, hearsay, gossip, distress or trouble. Prophet If one sees a prophet suffering from poverty and asking for help in a dream, it means that Allah Almighty will satisfy all the needs of the person seeing such a dream for the sake of the blessings reserved for that prophet. If one kills a prophet in a dream, it means that he will betray a trust, negate a promise, or deny a covenant. Living in the time of one of Allah's prophets on earth in a dream means honor, dignity, success, piety and wealth if one is suited for such gifts. Otherwise, it means that Satan is deceiving him. If a prophet of Allah Almighty beats a righteous and a sincere believer in a dream, it means that he will attain peace and salvation in his life in the hereafter. Hand • Walking on one’s hands: The dreamer relies on his relatives in certain matters.
• Seeing with one’s hands as if they were eyes: You are frolicking or molesting prohibited relatives too often.
• f The dreamer’s right hand telling him some good words: The quality of life will improve.
• The dreamer’s left hand telling him something good: Relatives will show their gratitude.
• One or both hands blaming the dreamer: Wrongdoings on the dreamer’s part.

Incident - meaning of Generosity A disciple of Husain Al-Hallaj once asked his teacher about the meaning of generosity. Al-Hallaj was killed before telling his disciple the answer. One night, the disciple was depressed. In a dream, it appeared to him as though the Day of Judgment was established, and that people stood before their Lord awaiting their reckoning. Incident - The father that hid his money A man hid his money inside his house and went on a journey. On his way back home, he became sick. The man also owed money to some people, and he thought of telling one of his companions about the place of his money and to ask him to pay his debt, but he aspired for recovery and hoped to return home and pay his debts in person. During his journey, the man died. His son saw him in a dream and asked: "What did God do to you?" The father replied: "My condition is in abeyance, and it depends on some debts that must be paid first. I have some money hidden in such and such place. Angel • An angel telling the dreamer that he will have a son: He will be blessed with a son enjoying knowledge and contentment, in view of the following Quranic verses: “ (And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah grive thee glad tidings of a word from Him …” (“Al-Imran” [The Family of Imran], verse 45); and “He said: I am only a messenger of thy Lord, that I may bestow on thee a faultless son.” (“Maryam” [Mary], verse 19.) Fart (Breaking wind; Passing gas; Foolishness; Wind) Passing gas in a dream means hearing or speaking vile words, or suffering from adversities, or it could mean dispersing a group of people, telling a shocking news, stupidity, belittling people, lies, using insulting words, or it could represent the sound that could emanate from beating someone. If one breaks wind with a loud sound in a dream, it means that he will address someone with harsh words. If one sees himself sitting with people and unwillingly passes gas or breaks wind in a dream, it means that his difficulties, sorrows or stress will be dispelled, though with horridness and repulsiveness. Speaking Animal talk in a dream denotes leaning toward friendships and finding peace in the company of pious people, or it could mean working to earn one's livelihood. If a wall speaks to someone in a dream, it means a warning of separation, or it could mean renouncing the city and seeking to live in the wilderness, near uninhabited ruins, or near a graveyard. Hearing a voice commanding one to do something in a dream means glad tidings. Hearing Allah Almighty on the Day of Judgement in a dream means rising in station, performing good deeds and nearness to one's Lord. Listening to the Holy Words of Allah Almighty in a dream also denotes the spread of justice and righteousness, and such a dream could represent a ruler who cares for his subjects. If a allahly and a pious person sees that in a dream, it means that he will renounce the world and seek the comfort and the blessings of the hereafter.
