Finger (Also see Dye.) Fingers are the brother’s children, since it is believed that the hand represents the brother. Those of the right hand refer to the Muslims five compulsory daily prayers. The left hand fingers are the children of the brother or sister. The thumb is the dawn prayer, the index finger the noon prayer, the middle finger the early afternoon prayer, the ring finger, the sunset prayer, and the little finger the evening prayer.
• Having long fingers: The dreamer observes his religious duties, especially prayer. The reverse is also true.
• The imam (the Muslims spiritual leader) having long fingers: He is too greedy, tyrannical, and unfair to his subjects.
• A finger falling: Will abandon the related prayer.
• Seeing one finger in the place of another: The dreamer is performing the right prayer at the wrong time.

Laugh Paradoxically, laughter means sorrow, in view of the Quranic verse that says: “Then let them laugh a little: they will weep much, as the reward of what they used to earn.” (“Al-Taubah” [Repentance], verse 82.) It could also mean that the dreamer will have a son, again because of a Quranic verse, which says: “And his wife, standing by, laughed when We gave her good tidings [of the birth] of Isaac, and, after Isaac, of Jacob.” (“Hud,” verse 71.) Silver • A man wearing two silver bracelets: (1) Benefits obtained the hard way. (2) Hardships of one’s own making and deep regret, especially if the metal is twisted.
• Seeing a silver bracelet: The dreamer will get a male servant or have a child.
• A silver armlet or bangle: Worries and hatred, but less than if it were gold.
• An armlet on a man’s upper arm: His daughter or his brother’s daughter will get married. (The upper arm and the forearm represent the brother.)

Odor Smelling a bad odor in a dream means hearing bad words, or it could mean distress. Smelling odor that emanates from under the armpit in a dream means headache, nasal congestions, cold, or hearing bad news, divulging secrets, dispelling rancor and jealousy, or it could mean relaxing after an exhausting workday, contracting an eye disease, or it could mean loathsomeness. If a child smells such an odor from under his armpit in his dream, it means that he has reached his puberty, or it could mean an illness or an accident that could take away his life. Thunder Hearing the sound of thunder in a dream also represents hymns, praising Allah Almighty, glorifying Him, or it could mean a sickness, fear, deafness, or the sound of drums in a wedding. If the one seeing the dream is an atheist, it means that he will be guided and have faith in Allah Almighty. If he is a sinner, it means that he will repent for his sins. Hearing the roaring of thunder in a dream on the first day of October means death. If it is heard during the first six days of that month, it means benefits, or lower prices, but if it is heard near the end of the month, then it means a plague or a disaster. Hearing the sound of thunder at any other time during the month of October in a dream means evil. If it is heard during the month of November in a dream, it means blessings for the land, prosperity, the spreading of Allah's words in a new land, the falling of a comet in a populated area, the death of a leader, a pollution that will devastate bird life, or a heavy rainstorm with limited damages. Gall bladder Cutting someone's gall bladder with one's teeth in a dream means perfidy and jealousy. If he drinks any blood that comes out of such cut in the dream, it means that he will confiscate or appropriate someone's money having no right to do so. Resuscitate (Live Again) • Resuscitation of a brother: The dreamer’s weakness will turn into strength in view of the following verses: “ (My Lord), appoint for me a henchman from my folk, Harun [Aaron], my brother. Confirm my strength with him.” (“Ta-Ha”, verses 29–31.)
• Resuscitation of a sister: An absent one will return from abroad, bringing joy, owing to the Quranic verse that reads: “And she said unto his sister: Trace him. So she sighted him from afar, whereas they perceived not” (“Al-Qasas” [The Requital, verse 11) .

Knife If one is given a knife as a gift in a dream, it means that he will beget a son, or have a new brother. If one is not expecting a son or a brother, then it means that he will receive money or an inheritance. Cutting one's hand with a knife in a dream means that one will see wonders. Sheathing a knife in a dream means getting married. If one is married, and if his wife is pregnant, then it means that she will beget a boy, unless if what she carries with her in the dream is more suited for a girl, then it means that she will give birth to a baby girl. Thunder If the sound of thunder is heard during the first ten days of December in a dream, it means the death of famous people within the Western hemisphere, inflation, rising prices, degradation of social behavior, decrease in harvest, inflation, or playing dirty politics. Hearing the sound of thunder during the last seven days of December in a dream means that the winter will be cold and dry, though the forthcoming spring will be cool and wet. Hearing the sound of thunder in the first six days of the month of January in a dream means that a major event will take place, such as an earthquake, death, destruction, or a war in Iraq. If this dream is witnessed during the last week of the month of January, then it represents a solar eclipse, or the death of a Western leader, a plague, or the birth of a planet that signifies the destruction of a great city on earth. Hearing the sound of thunder on the first day of February in a dream means a good harvest, lowering or stabilization of prices, discovering a new disease in the East, death in the seas, heavy rains in Mecca, fear, devastation and famines in Ethiopia, or that a Western leader will move his armies to the East and control the land for a short period of time . Laughing If one sees the earth laughing in a dream, it means a good harvest in that land. If one sees a deceased person laughing in a dream, it means that he is in paradise, and enjoying the blessings of the hereafter. Laughing in a dream also represents light headedness, frivolity and buoyancy. This is particularly true when it denotes capable people, or people in authority, where laughing in a dream could mean their dismissal from office. Trumpet of Resurrection Hearing the sound of the trumpet of the Day of Resurrection in a dream means hearing the truth. Blowing in the trumpet of the arc angel Israfil (Alayhi-Salam) in a dream means salvation of the righteous ones. In a dream, the sound of this trumpet invokes fear incurring news that cause shivers and trembling in people's hearts. If one hears it alone, then the news are exclusive for him. If everyone hears its sound in the dream, then it is a public affair. If one hears the sound of the trumpet and anticipates that everyone has heard it too in a dream, it means plagues and adversities, for the first blow indicates the end of the world and the death of everyone in it. Aaron (The Prophet Aaron, the older brother of Allah's prophet Moses, upon both of them be peace.) Seeing the prophet Aaron (Alayhi-Salam) in a dream means exaltedness, leadership, or that one may become an Imam, a vice-regent of a great person, and perhaps suffer from many adversities because of it. Finally, he will triumph and attain his goals, or he may destroy a tyrant and an unjust ruler. If a warrior sees Allah's prophet Moses or his brother the prophet Aaron, upon both of them be peace and blessings, in a dream, it means that he will be victorious and triumph over his enemy. Emerald The emerald, the beryl, and the peridot symbolize the polite, polished brothers and children, the good money made through honest gains, and the genuine and candid references to virtuous teachings and philanthropy. Cap (Overseas cap; Persian toga; Roman toga; Shawl) In a dream, a cap means travels, a wife who is supporting her husband, or a husband who is supporting his wife. A shawl-like attire that is worn over the head and shoulders in a dream represents honor, valor, a new trade, travel, a brother or a father. Taking off a cap in a dream means losing one's authority or loss of his wealth. A torn cap in a dream means the death of one's brother or father. Pitcher When a pitcher is highly priced in a dream, it denotes the high rank of the one who is interested in buying it. A pitcher in a dream also means playfulness, joy or laughter. A glass pitcher in a dream represents one's wife, marriage to a rich and a beautiful woman, a secret affair, or a friend one is proud to have. A glass pitcher in a dream also represents a spouse who cannot be trusted with a secret, or someone who is never content to be married or to have children. Belt (Cincture; Cummerbund; Fastening; Sash; Waist belt) In a dream, a belt depicts the carrier of burdens. It also implies travels, money, savings or stinginess. It also could mean serious endeavors and assiduity in seeking knowledge. A belt or a waistband in a dream could represent one's wife or his property. If a woman sees herself wearing a waistband, then it represents her brother, brother in-law, or father in-law. If she is pregnant, it means that she will beget a daughter. If a man sees himself wearing a waistband in a dream, it represents a woman in his family to whom it is unlawful for him to marry. A broken belt in a dream means a fight with one's wife. Call to prayers (Azan; Muezzin) Hearing the call to prayers in a dream denotes the pilgrimage season or announces its holy months. It also may indicate backbiting, a theft, announcing a major move or blowing the trumpets of war, or it could denote rank and honor or obeyed commands of the one seeing the dream, or perhaps announcing a wife for an unmarried man, and it could mean telling the truth. Hearing the call to prayers in a language other than the Arabic in which it was revealed in a dream means lies and backbiting. If one sees a woman calling to prayers, standing on the top of a minaret in a dream, it means innovation and trials. If children give the call to prayers in a dream, it means that people filled with ignorance will rule the land. This is particularly true when the call is made outside the proper time. Suitcase In a dream, a suitcase represents two brothers, two sons, partners, or perhaps it could mean travels.
