Ape • Eating ape meat: (1) Terrible worries or ailments. (2) Will obtain new clothes.
• Hunting and catching an ape: Will benefit from magicians.
• Being bitten by an ape: Hostility and polemics.
• Having sex with an ape: Will commit an abomination.
• An ape entering the bed of a known man: A Jew or an atheist will rape or commit adultery with the dreamer’s wife.

Scorpion • Killing a scorpion: Money will go, then come back.
• A scorpion burning to death: An enemy will perish.
• Throwing a scorpion on one’s wife: Will sodomize her or commit some abomination with her.
• Finding a scorpion in one’s underwear or bedding: The dreamer’s wife is corrupt.
• Swallowing a scorpion: Will divulge one’s secret to the enemy.
• Scorpions in one’s stomach: Enemies from among relatives.

Shroud Or Mortuary Winding Sheet (Also see Dress.) It symbolizes a penchant for adultery. The smaller the shroud, the closer the dreamer is to repentance, and vice versa. But interpreters differ on this point—some of them feel that the larger the shroud, the better the dream is.
• Seeing a living person wearing a shroud: The dreamer has a leaning toward adultery. If the shroud has not been worn, he is inciting others to commit adultery, but nobody responds to his calls.

Lion The lion is a ruler, a tyrant, or a powerful and very dangerous person, in view of the ferocity and devastating anger of that animal. It also symbolizes the warrior, the swindler, the thief, the treacherous worker, the policeman, the insatiable enemy, and perhaps hardships and death, because he who stares at it turns pale, loses his self-control, and is as good as dead, says Ibn Siren. Furthermore, it represents the ruler who embezzles public funds and commits injustice and the lurking enemy. The lioness symbolizes the daughter of a king. The baby lion (lion’s whelp or cub) is a boy. A man told Ibn Siren, “I dreamed that I was embracing and nursing a baby lion.” When the great seer looked at him, saw his humble appearance and miserable garments, and understood that he could not be eligible for any honour, he said, “What could you possibly have to do with the children of princes?!” and he added, “Is your wife, by chance, breast-feeding the son of a prince?” “Yes,” was the reply. Meat Eating the flesh of a human being in a dream means backbiting him. Eating one's own flesh in a dream means earning money from one's own sweat. If a woman eats the flesh of another woman in a dream, it means that they are lesbians. If a woman eats her own flesh in a dream, it means that she will commit adultery. The meat of a yellow cow in a dream means illness. The cooked meat of a snake in a dream means receiving money from one's enemy. The uncooked flesh of a snake in a dream means slandering one's enemy. Mattress If one tears his mattress in pieces in a dream, it means that he will commit adultery. If he sees his mattress placed in front of the city hall in a dream, it means that he may assume an important political appointment. An unknown mattress in an unknown place in a dream means buying, receiving, or inheriting a farmland. A mattress in a dream also means bearing a son. Ape The ape (or monkey as well) is a poor man deprived of his means of living. It belongs to the category of human beings who have been metamorphosed as a result of a legendary curse. It represents the wicked, spiteful, and cursing individual, the same as it symbolizes a Jew (according to the ancient Arabs) or a person who commits major sins.
• Fighting and overpowering an ape: Will be ill but recover, unless the ape had the upper hand.

Veil (Attire) In a dream, a woman's veil represents her religion. For a woman, wearing a veil in a dream means marriage, prosperity, beauty. Wearing a black veil in a dream means marrying a poor man. If a man sees himself wearing a veil in a dream, it means that he will commit adultery with his female servant. Circumambulation Seeing oneself circumambulating Allah's house while riding on a mare in a dream means that one will commit the abominable sin of adultery with a member of his own family or with a consanguineous blood relative with whom it is not permissible to have sexual relationship. Firewood Firewood in a dream means slander and backbiting. If one puts two or three logs to burn in the fire in a dream, it means that an argument will take place or that an exchange of rough words will grow beyond one's control. If a religious person sees timber in his dream, it means that he will commits a major sin such as theft, murder, or adultery, he will then be caught and put to justice. If anyone kindles a fire in a dream, it means that he will report someone to the authorities. Carrying firewood in a dream means exchanging harsh words, slander, rebuke or calumniation. Eyes If such a man opens his eyes and looks at him straight forward in the dream, it means that he will help him in his business or support his interests. If one's eyes turn into iron in a dream, it means distress, a scandal or serious suffering from one's community. If one sees himself looking at women in his dream, it means that he commits adultery with his eyes by looking and desiring what is unlawful. If one looks at someone's eyes in a dream and likes them, it means that he will suffer from an adversity, religious corruption or jealousy. If one sees himself having an extra eye inside his body in a dream, it means that he is an atheist. Spear • Placing a spear behind the door or covering it with one’s arm: Wife will give birth to a girl.
• Stabbing with a spear: Will falter and commit a sin, backbite, or slander somebody.
• A spear breaking: Bad omen and decaying influence. If it is the chief’s spear, an enemy will emerge or the chief will be deposed or have an accident. If it belongs to the son or the brother, a tragedy will befall him. In case it can be repaired, the victim will escape or recover or things will return to normal. If it is beyond repair, the subject will die.

Cat A cat in a dream represents a book of records, one's share from a business, an inheritance, or his work. A cat in a dream also means shunning off one's husband, wife or children, or it could mean a fight, theft, adultery, disloyalty, eavesdropping, backbiting or bearing a child from adultery, a bastard child, or it could represent a gentle speaking person, a toadying person or someone who desires to be accepted by others, and should he find an opportune moment, he will spoil everyone's peace. Hell-fire Entering hell-fire in a dream means committing major sins such as murder or adultery. If one comes out of it unharmed in the dream, then it represents worldly adversities. If one sees the fire of hell coming near him in a dream, it means difficulties, debts, losses, fines and adversities from which one will not be able to escape. If one sees himself entering hell-fire and holding his sword unsheathed in a dream, it means that he speaks evil of others and commits abominable actions against his own soul. The same interpretation applies if one enters it smiling in his dream. Bear If one sees himself riding over a bear in a dream, should he qualify, it means that he will manage a loathsome business. Otherwise, it means that he will be struck with fear and distress, then he will escape from his trials. A bear in a dream also means travels, returning from a journey or he could represent a prostitute. If one has access to such a woman, he must beware not to commit adultery. Fox If one sees himself battling a fox in a dream, it means that his wife has committed adultery. Capturing a piece of fox skin or his hair in a dream means victory and strength, or it may be interpreted as receiving an inheritance. Cosmetics (Henna; Makeup) If one sees his face embellish with red cosmetic makeup in a dream, it means that he will commit adultery and be exposed thereafter. Flesh • Eating one’s own tongue: (1) The dreamer is the silent, concealing, and self-restrained type. (2) The dreamer’s eloquence will help him. To come back to the general interpretation:
