Mountain In a dream, a mountain that stands high is alive, but a crumbling mountain which has turned into a pile of rocks is dead. If a person sees himself climbing an erect mountain, eating from its plants and drinking from its water, and if he qualifies to govern, it means that he will be appointed to a governing post under the auspices of a stringent ruler, though his subjects do receive benefits from his government. Shoulder The shoulders symbolize brothers, a friend, a partner, or an employee of the dreamer. One shoulder is a woman. The side or flank of the shoulder is the dreamer’s beauty, but also his whims. But for prisoners the same dream means that they will stay in jail for a long time, in view of their ability to carry their own shackles and heavy weights like rocks on their shoulder.

Kite (Aircraft; Soar) In a dram, a kite represents exaltedness, rising in station, determination, or gaining respect. Walking If one sees inanimate objects such as a tree, a rock or a mountain walking in a dream, it represents major adversities and plagues. Stone (Rock) A discarded stone in a dream represents a dead person. It could also represent people with hardened hearts, heedless, or jobless people. It is common among the people of knowledge to describe an ignorant person as a stone. Owning a precious stone in a dream could mean buying one in wakefulness, or it may mean gaining a strong foothold over someone of the same caliber, or it could mean a marriage to a compatible person. If one sees himself petrified in a dream, it means that he disobeys his Lord, in that sense, if he is sick, it means that he may die from his illness, or he may be inflicted with a stroke that will leave him paralyzed. If a poor person eats sweetbread or a cake in a dream, it means sickness or loss of what he maybe expecting to receive. Eating the thin variety of rock baked bread in a dream means increase in one's earnings. A thin loaf of bread in a dream also could mean a short life. Palm Tree The date palm symbolizes the knowledgeable man and his children, tribe, or folk. It specifically refers to a noble, honest, and esteemed Arab who likes to benefit people, perhaps a scholar. It also means long life. However, the trunk of a palm is a bad augury. It symbolizes torture in view of a Quranic verse: “ (Pharaoh) said: Ye put faith in him before I give you leave. Lo! he is your chief who taught you magic. Now surely I shall cut off your hands and your feet alternately, and I shall crucify you on the trunks of palm tree, and ye shall know for certain which of us hath sterner and more lasting punishment.” (“Ta-Ha,” verse 71.) Earth If the top soil of the land is cracked in a dream, it means that the land is rich and arable. Jinn (Sing. Jinni) A creation from a smokeless fire. Among the Jinn, some are believers while others are satans. This is in contrast to human beings who are created from earth and among them some are believers and others are human satans. Jinn in a dream represent fraud, deceit, cunning, perfidy, treachery, theft, alcoholism, invented religious practices, travels, music, bars, tricks, sleight of hand, illusion, sorcery and magic. Fox • A fox calling the dreamer: Will be terrified.
• Playing with a fox: Will be blessed with a woman who loves you as much as you love her.

• Eating fox meat: Will fall ill and recover very quickly.
• Drinking fox milk: (1) Will recover from a disease. (2) A worrisome matter will be over.
• Seeing herds of foxes: Magic and ruse will be widespread in the area.

Tablet If the blackboard is made of stone in the dream, it means that his heart will be like a rock. If the blackboard is made of copper in the dream, it means that one's son will grow to be a hypocrite. If it is made of lead in the dream, it means that one's son will be an effeminate person.
