Ibrahim - Abraham • A father of many children seeing Ibrahim: One of his boys will divorce.
• Accompanying Ibrahim or walking beside him: (1) The dreamer will get into trouble with foes but emerge victorious and become a just ruler (authoritative man) or an imam (spiritual leader). (2) The dreamer will befriend some folk who will submit him to a hard test on their part.
• Being summoned by Ibrahim and responding promptly: Elevation in life.
• Being called by Ibrahim and failing to respond or the dreamer seeing Ibrahim talking to him with remonstrance's or looking sad: (1) Will fail to perform the pilgrimage to Mecca (Makkah) despite ability to do so. Prison If one who is experiencing difficulties in his life sees himself tied-up to a chair or to a wall in a dream, it means that his problems and fears will be dispelled. If one sees himself building a prison in a dream, it means that he will meet a righteous man, or an Imam who will guide him on the straight path. A prison in a dream also represents paralysis, arrogance, self-deception, or incarcerating troublesome people. If one sees a deceased person in jail in a dream, it means that he is in hell. If one sees himself imprisoned in a dream, it also means that he may enter a forbidden place, a house of a prostitution, or a tavern. Tablet In general, all boards in a dream represent admonition or prohibition of sin. Receiving a writing tablet from an Imam in a dream means an appointment to leadership, knowledge, understanding, or becoming an Imam, except if what is written on the blackboard in the dream implies admonition to do good, then the tablet means guidance and mercy. If the blackboard is made of iron in the dream, it means that one will beget a son who will become a great scholar and a strongman. A polished board in a dream means that one's son will become a man of courage who accomplishes what he intends, acquires what he wants, and who will rarely be defeated. Mecca (Holy Mecca; Imam) In a dream, the Holy Mecca represents the Imam of all the Muslims. Whatever happens to it in a dream will manifest in his life. The city of Mecca in a dream also could represent the spiritual and religious standing of the person seeing such a dream. If one sees himself living or owning a house in Mecca in a dream, it means honor and knowledge. If one sees himself living in Mecca in a dream, it also may mean that he will give his daughter in marriage to a noble person. Walking away from Mecca in a dream means separation from one's superior. Ali Ibn Abi Taleb He was the fourth caliph, from A.D. 656 to 661, when he was assassinated in Koufa, his capital. The essence of the Shiite movement in Islam is the contention that Ali, the son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad, should have been the first caliph to succeed Prophet Muhammad (p b u h). Most often, dreaming of Ali, peace be upon him, or similar Imams means that the hero of such a dream will die as a martyr.
• A king dreaming of Ali: Will conquer a country or overrun a bastion and be highly praised.
• Seeing Ali means the dreamer will: (1) Triumph over enemies. (2) Have good and noble children and grandchildren. (3) Subdue the aliens in his Muslim country who rebel against the system, especially the Jews (according to the ancient interpreters). (4) Become a successor and a trustee. Quran • Using the Quran as a pillow: The dreamer does not respect and preserve properly his Mushaf, despite the injunction by the Holy Prophet not to do so.
• A person with bad memory having managed to memorize the Holy Quran: The dreamer will become a king (or almost), owing to the verse that reads as follows: “He said: Set me over the storehouses of the land. Dog • Killing a dog: Will triumph over enemy.
• Eating dog meat: Will triumph over enemy and take a bite at his money.
• Drinking dog milk: Fear.
• Using a dog as a pillow: The dog is a friend who will prove useful and whom the dreamer will be proud of.
• Being accompanied by a dog: Disappearance, in view of the story of Ahlel Kahf (The Companions of the Cave), in the Holy Quran. (“Al-Kahf” [The Cave], chapter 18.)
• Seeing the dog of Ahlel Kahf, whose name was believed to be Qitmir: Fear, prison, or evasion.

Dog A dog in a dream also represents a police informer or a police dog. A dog in a dream also represents a weak enemy or a niggardly person. If a dog barks at someone in a dream, it means that one will hear something he despises or hates to make public from someone who lacks any sense of honor or virtue. Eating a dog's meat in a dream means cracking down at one's enemy. A dog in a dream also represents a guard or an innovator. Drinking dog's milk in a dream means a scare. Incident - Fly Coming Out Of Nose A man was asleep when his friend brought an open pitcher of milk and a water melon. The friend then cut a piece of the water melon and placed the milk and the pitcher beside his friend's pillow with the knife on top of the pitcher. He then sat down and waited for him to wake up. When the man woke up, he told his friend an amazing dream. He said: "I saw as though a type of fly came out of my nose, and it stood over a knife before reentering my nose. Incident - Swallowming Small Pearls A man said to Imam Ibn Seer'in: "I saw a man swallowing small pearls, then bringing them out of his mouth bigger in size in the dream." Incident - Digging the grave of Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) A man told Imam Ibn Sirin: "I saw myself in a dream digging the bones of Prophet Muhammad, Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam." Ibn Sirin replied, 'You will establish his traditions in your life." Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Incident - A Big Bird Landing Upon a Jasmine Tree A man came to Imam Ibn Sirin and said: "I saw big bird that landed upon a jasmine tree in a dream, and he ate all its flowers." Ibn Seeri'n's face became alarmed as he replied: "Your dream means the death of scholars." Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin

Incident - A Pitcher with Two Heads A man told Imam Ibn Sirin: "I saw myself drinking from a pitcher with two heads in a dream." Ibn Sirin replied: "You have a wife, and you are trying to tempt her sister to sin with you, so fear God." The man answered: "You spoke the truth. Bear witness that I repent from my doing." Incident - Short Black Woman A man told Imam Ibn Sirin: "I saw that I was betrothed to a black woman who was short in the dream." Pharaoh Any pharaoh is an enemy of Islam. His welfare means that Muslims and their imam (chief) are not well off. Dreaming of becoming a pharaoh means one will become powerful and as notorious as the pharaoh dreamt of and will die as an evil person. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Incident - Piercing eggs from the top and Extracting the White Finally, after taking a promise from Ibn Sirin, the man confessed that he is the person who saw that dream. Imam Ibn Sirin asked someone to call the chief of police and to tell him that this man is a body snatcher who digs the graves and steals their contents. The man immediately asked for forgiveness, repented from his doing, and promised never to do it again. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Incident - A bull coming out of a small rock A man said to Imam Ibn Sirin: "I saw a big bull coming out of a small rock, and I shook hands with him in a dream. The bull then wanted to return inside the rock, but he couldn't." Ibn Sirin replied: "Indeed; sometimes a man may say a big word, then regrets what he had said, though he cannot change it." Pharaoh (Enemy) Pharaoh is the enemy of Allah Almighty. If one sees pharaoh looking good in a dream, it means that the Imam, the leader, or the person who leads the congregational prayers in his community is a goofy person, or that the congregation itself does not follow the proper religious rules. Bathroom According to Imam Jaafar Al-Sadeq (see biography at the beginning of this book), the bathroom could symbolize seven things: (1) The patriarch of the family. (2) A valuable woman. (3) Troubles and unhappiness. (4) A debt. (5) Delay or obstacles. (6) Confirmation or a seal. (7) A loan. For other interpreters, including Ibn Siren and Al-Kirmani:
