Sheep Sheep are a booty. Black sheep are Arabs; white ones are aliens. The ewe, or female sheep, is a well-off or rather wealthy woman. The billy goat is an awesome man or, on the contrary, a slave, a Negro, or even an ignorant person, to borrow the expression of Ibn Siren. The same interpretation of dreams involving a ram applies to it. The she-goat symbolizes a humble or humiliated woman or a jobless servant, because her body is uncovered where it should not be, like the poor. It also refers to the average year. Ball of thread (Hank of yarn; Spool; Thread) For pensioners, seeing a ball of thread in a dream signifies increase in one's benefits or receiving extra income. A ball of thread in a dream also represents an astute worker, an employee, an intelligent and a hard working young man, or it could mean longevity. Tambourine (Drum; Musical instruments) In a dream, a tambourine means adversities, pain and sufferings. It also means fame for the one carrying it. If a girl dancer carries it in the dream, it means that she may win a lottery, or acquire a publicly known fortune. Pearl • Piercing beautifully shaped and lined up pearls: Will interpret the Holy Quran in a correct manner.
• Piercing a pearl with a wooden nail: Will make love to a prohibited relative. A man told Ibn Siren he dreamed that he was piercing a pearl. “Do you know your mother?” the interpreter asked. “No, she was taken captive when I was a small child.” “Have you recently bought a slave?” “Yes.” “Do you sleep with her?” “Yes.” “Then fear God, for she is that mother.”

Jew Interpreters widely differ on the sight of Jews in a dream. For some:
• Seeing a Jew, be he young or old, means: (1) An enemy, in view of the Quranic verse that reads: “Thou wilt find the most vehement of mankind in hostility to those who believe (to be) the Jews, and the idolaters. …” (“Al-Maidah” [The Table Spread], verse 82.) Pregnancy • A boy under the age of puberty being pregnant: A reference to his father.
• A pregnant woman: (1) Her wealth will increase, commensurate with the size of her belly. (2) She will persevere till she makes the money she wants, which will grow constantly. She will be proud of her achievements and highly dignified and praised. (3) Trouble, unhappiness, worries, and concealed matters.

Idol Worship • Worshiping a silver idol: Will have an affair with a woman—be she a free one, a slave, or a servant—with a lot of betrayal and corruption on either side in the affair.
• Worshiping a brass, bronze, iron, or lead idol: Will forget all about religion and worship the pleasures of life.

Salt Salt has controversial interpretations. Ibn Siren did not like dreams involving salt. Some say white salt represents asceticism coupled with welfare and blessings. Cooking salt means worries, trouble, and disease or money earned the hard way and bringing about many problems.

• Eating bread and salt: Contentment.

Servants (Angels; Vinegar) If one sees servants carrying platters of food, sweets and fruits to serve in one's house in a dream means that someone in that house who had a long illness has just recovered from it, or that he may die as a martyr. Servants in a dream also represent glad tidings. If a king, a merchant, or a man of knowledge see himself eating from the hand of a servant or a nurse in dream, it represents his authority, knowledge, wisdom, falling sick, or it could mean business expansion. Pearl • Throwing a pearl under one’s feet: The dreamer will marry his daughter to someone of a different kind, perhaps an alien.
• A pearl breaking: The dreamer will break with or lose his son.

• Embracing or hugging a woman: The dreamer is sticking to life and has no hope in the Hereafter.
• Embracing a man: A show of solidarity and mutual help.

Ring • A concave but solid, not hollow, ring: Welfare (invariably).
• Hollow rings that are filled or in which something could be hidden: (1) Wickedness and plots or assassinations (as something is concealed in them). Aspirations to something great and many benefits because their size is bigger than their weight, says Ibn Siren.
• A tight ring: Relief and comfort.
• Finding a ring: (1) The dreamer will receive money from foreigners. (2) The dreamer will get married. (3) The dreamer will have a boy child.

Myrtle The myrtle symbolizes a man who keeps his promises and honours his commitments, anything that is durable, or a powerful man (for etymological reasons).
• Seeing a crown of myrtles on one’s head or smelling some: A lasting marriage or a lasting relationship.
• Seeing myrtles in one’s house: Lasting welfare and money.
• Taking myrtle from a young man: The dreamer will wrench a genuine pledge from an enemy.

Paradise • Seeing oneself in one of the castles of Paradise: The dreamer will become a chief or marry a beautiful maid.
