Drawers Looking into the perfumery drawer or the drawer where the precious stone balance is stored in a dream means high winds of profits, satisfying one's needs and reuniting with one's family. Thigh Thighs in a dream also represent the pillars of one's house, the head of a household, one's wife, one's husband, son, master, earnings, business, vehicle, or wealth. Drum Seeing a drum in a dream means false news. Dancing on the drumbeat in a dream means that a calamity will befall that house. If one sees himself turned into a drum in a dream, it means that he is experiencing confused dreams. A one sided tambourine represents a woman with many faults. Harvest • Seeing plants being harvested in a country at war or in the executioner’s usual place: People will die by the sword, inasmuch as plants were harvested by the sickle.

Termite (Broker; Stockbroker; Wood warm) In a dream, termites represent jealousy, envy, perfidy, competition in knowledge, or search for arguments. If one sees termites in his carry -on bag, or eating from his staff in a dream, they mean his death. Termites in a dream also represent a slanderer who tricks wealthy people to make his commission by advising them to place their money into bad investments. If a sick person sees termites inside his house or clinging to his skin in a dream, it also means his death. Dog • Seeing hunting dogs entering a city: Unemployment.
• Seeing hunting dogs returning from an expedition: (1) Unemployment. (2) The end of fear.
• A sheepdog: (1) The dreamer will obtain certain benefits from the king or chief. (2) A good neighbour who is keen on preserving your interests as much as he does his own.

Dog The dog is also a harbinger of fever, in view of the terrible disease Al-Shiira Al-Yamaneyyah (literally translated, it means the Yemeni hair; probably hirsutism or hypertrichosis, more popularly known as the werewolf phenomenon, which had a correlation not with the full moon, but with Al-Shiira Al-Yamaneyyah, which was also the name of Sirius, a star of the constellation called the Greater Dog, or Canis Major, which is the brightest star in the heavens). It could also be a sign of apostasy, atheism, or despair in God’s mercy and scepticism about His messages. All dogs, in general, symbolize the worldly persons (perhaps because, in Arabic, whereas the word kalb means “dog,” takalub means “to rush madly upon; to contend for”), as well as the humble, submissive people, the beggars, or the lads who go from door to door. In abstract terms, dogs are the incarnation of meanness, lowliness, villainy, and humiliation or humility with everlasting affection for the master and care for the latter’s money and children or in-laws. Flying • Flying from one rooftop to another: Will change wives.
• Hovering over houses and streets: Turbulence, but the dreamer will not be moved.
• Flying from one land to another: Dignity and great satisfaction.
• A prominent personality flying over a mountain: Will be given a province.
• A leader or a power-monger dreaming of flying: Will prevail. If he falls on anything, he will own it.

Pigeon (Dove; Ringdove; Turtledove) Seeing a pigeon in a dream means glad tidings. It is also said that Allah Almighty will accept the prayers of one who sees pigeons in his dream. In a dream, a pigeon also represents a trustworthy messenger, a truthful friend, a comforting beloved, a chaste wife, striving to sustain one's family, or a fertile woman with a large family. The cooing of pigeons in a dream means lamentation. Pigeons eggs in a dream represent one's daughters or female neighbors. A domesticated pigeon in a dream represents a beautiful woman from Arabia. Silver The bracelet and the anklet symbolize the husband or marriage, in particular. For men they represent sorrow. Lady’s jewels could also refer to their children, since mothers are proud of them. Gold is a reference to boys and silver to girls. Likewise, whatever is masculine refers to boys and anything feminine to girls. Certain interpreters hate to hear about silver in view of the etymology of the word—in Arabic feddah from fadd or yafeddo, meaning “to disperse” or “to deflower.” In general, silver is hoarded money. An alloy of silver and gold is a beautiful white girl or slave girl (or servant in the modern sense), because silver is part of the essence of women (according to the ancient Arabs). Quicksilver Or Mercury • Eating mercury: Trouble, worries, harm, and losses.
• Entering a quicksilver mine and coming out with something: The dreamer’s wife is a wicked woman who cheats him.
• Selling mercury: The dreamer will be safe from the intrigues of a cunning woman.
• Drowning in mercury: The dreamer will be enslaved by shrewd and enticing women who have more than one card up their sleeve.

Marble If one sees gravestones made of marble, or if one sees marble pillars in a dream, it means a good reward for one's deeds, or it could mean eulogy, or lauding. An architecturally sound edifice made from marble in a dream represents good writing, skilfulness, dowry or a generous prenuptial agreement. If the marble is used excessively in the dream, it means suspicion and doubt about one's resources or source of income. The marble bases of a pillar in a dream represents social benefits. As for marble tiles in a dream, they represent beautiful and noble women, or dignitaries. As for marble jars, tiles, or basins in a dream, they represent the positive and negative effects one overlooks during the course of this life. Building If one sees his house bigger than it is in reality in a dream, it means expansion in one's material resources. If it grows beyond the normal norms in a dream, it means anxiety, or a delegation that hastens to enter that house without permission, announcing a calamity, or it could mean that a wedding will take place in that house. Building a house in a dream also means extending one's connections, strengthening one's relationship with his kin, friends, or if the person in question is a general in the army, or a leader, then it means building a strong army. Ring If a woman sees herself removing her wedding ring in a dream, it means the death of either her husband or of a close relative. A ring in a dream also connotes a band, an encumbrance, or a shackle. If one's ring disappears and only the stone remains in the dream, it means that once the responsibilities are gone, good memories of the person will remain. A man wearing a golden ring in a dream represents innovation, and the results will bring about afflictions, betrayal, or a revolt. Wearing a tight ring in the dream means that one will be let off from a vicious woman, or that he will be spared from a wicked duty. A borrowed wedding ring in a dream represents an ownership that will not last. If one buys an engraved ring in a dream, it means that he will own something he never owned before, such as a house, a vehicle, or perhaps he may get married, or bear a child. Pearl Pearls and other jewels symbolize beauty, perfection, and sexual passion for women and boys. Raw, ill-shaped, or scattered pearls are a reference to children and to good words; hidden pearls refer to exceptionally beautiful girls, slaves, or servants in view of verses from the Holy Quran about Paradise: “And (there are) those with wide, lovely eyes, like unto hidden pearls … Lo! We have created them a (new) creation and made them virgins, lovers, friends …” (“Al-Waqiah” [The Event], verses 22–23, 36–37.) The pearl also alludes to a male child who won’t live. Perfectly shaped or aligned pearls represent the Holy Quran and good learning. Kohl This is a sort of eye powder or powder of antimony, a preparation of soot and other ingredients, to darken edges of eyelids. It is extensively used by veiled Arab Bedouin women, whose eyes are the only thing seen of their body, which renders them very attractive. It is also used for newly born Muslims and by certain Muslim men. Kohl and its usual container made of silver or the kohl bottle symbolize women. They also refer to the sharp eye. Orthopedist If one sees himself standing before an orthopedist in a dream because of a broken bone or another fracture and then complains about an abscess in his neck, and if the orthopedist opens that abscess with pliers to drain the puss in the dream, then it represents a debt one has to repay, or a votive offering one has to fulfill, or it could mean giving a testimony in court, or accepting the ruling of a scholar. If an orthopedist sets one's broken right arm and ties it to his neck in a dream, it means that someone will oblige him to do him a personal favor and consequently deprive him from attending other duties, or restrain him from serving other charities. Fountainhead If the water is pure and clean in the dream, it means depression along with a strong and a healthy body. What is disliked in such dreams is the murky water. If one owns a stream in a dream, it represents one's livelihood, his shop, business, work, or one's good deeds that remain beneficial even after his death and until the Day of Judgment such as a blessed progeny, a school or a mosque he builds, a road he opens, a book of knowledge he leaves behind, or a charitable endowment. Seeing waters overflowing from a fountainhead and flooding one's property means sadness, crying and sorrow and the same applies if one drinks from that water in his dream.
