A Dream Concerning Abdullah bin Salam Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: A man came to Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) and said, "I saw in a dream, a cloud having shade. Butter and honey were dropping from it and I saw the people gathering it in their hands, some gathering much and some a little. And behold, there was a rope extending from the earth to the sky, and I saw that you (the Prophet) held it and went up, and then another man held it and went up and (after that) another (third) held it and went up, and then after another (fourth) man held it, but it broke and then got connected again." Abu Bakr said, "O Allah's Apostle! Let my father be sacrificed for you! Allow me to interpret this dream." The Prophet said to him, "Interpret it." Abu Bakr said, "The cloud with shade symbolizes Islam, and the butter and honey dropping from it, symbolizes the Quran, its sweetness dropping and some people learning much of the Qur'an and some a little. The rope which is extended from the sky to the earth is the Truth which you (the Prophet) are following. You follow it and Allah will raise you high with it, and then another man will follow it and will rise up with it and another person will follow it and then another man will follow it but it will break and then it will be connected for him and he will rise up with it. O Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam)! Let my father be sacrificed for you! Am I right or wrong?" The Prophet replied, "You are right in some of it and wrong in some." Tooth • The upper teeth falling on one’s knees: A male child will be born.
• Teeth falling on the ground: Death.
• Teeth growing in the heart: Death.
• Catching a falling tooth and refraining from burying it: Will give advice to whomever that tooth refers to.
• All the teeth of healthy, free persons, or travellers falling: (1) Long disease. (2) Troubles of all kinds but no death, because the teeth of those who die do not fall. Therefore, the same dream is a good one for those who are already ill. It means that they will recover fast. (3) For travelling merchants the dream means that their luggage or cargo is light, especially if the teeth were seen moving.

Chin A chin in a dream represents one's beauty, wealth, a supporting father, a helping son, a servant, an honorable position or a respected status designated uniquely for such a person. Extinguishing a fire Extinguishing a fire in a dream means putting off or quelling a riot, deterring a war or abolishing innovation. Dying for the Second Time If a dead person is seen as dying again and there is weeping without screaming and mourning it means a relative of his will get married and the marriage will bring great happiness and pleasure. Grass If one sees grass growing all over him but does not cover his ears or eyes in a dream, it means prosperity. If he sees grass growing on people's hands or floating on water in a dream, it means a good harvest and prosperity for everyone. If weeds grow at the same time in the dream, they connote negative effects. If a sick person sees such a dream, it means that he is nearing his death. Grass growing over one's stomach in a dream means his death or his burial after death. If grass grows all over one's body but does not cover his head in the dream, it means prosperity and wealth. Destruction (Admonition; Cave in; Earthquake; Harvest; Violation) In a dream, destruction means dispersion of people, or it could mean death. Destruction in a dream also means the levelling of a town or the death of its ruler or it could represent absence of justice. Woodcutter (Disposer of estates; Guardian) In a dream, a woodcutter represents the person in charge of distributing one's inheritance, since it is he who disposes of the dead branches of a tree. Wheat Eating cooked wheat in a dream means afflictions. Holding a bundle of ears of wheat, or placing them inside a pot in a dream means profits equal to the number of spikes one has gathered. Harvesting wheat outside the season in a dream means death, destruction, deception and trials for the people of that locality. Harvesting green spikes of wheat in the dream means the death of a young person, but if they are yellow and dry, then they mean the death of an elderly person. Bartering wheat for barley in a dream means replacing the Quranic recital with interest in poetry. Seeing wheat over one's bed in a dream represents one's wife. Planting its seeds in a dream means conceiving a child. House The house gate or door is the father of the family. The mortise and tenon symbolize the female and male sexual organs as they fit into each other. Locked together, they represent the husband embracing his wife. By extension, the mortise and tenon could also refer to the couple’s two children, a boy and a girl, to two brothers, or to two persons sharing the same house. Asylum But the sanatorium also alludes to entertainment, playing, joking, and irresponsible behaviour in society or in people’s occupations, as is the case with psychopaths. A mentally disturbed person would not mind parting from his children.

Blood It could also mean troubles and unhappiness. Blood refers as well to the person’s good or bad genie that runs in him like the bloodstream. When seen in a jar or any container, blood represents menstruation. The cover of that jar or whatever is used to stuff its aperture is the cotton or hygienic towel. Child birth If he is rich, then it means distress. If he is unmarried, it means a forthcoming marriage, so that his future wife will give the birth he saw in his dream. In general, if a man sees himself giving birth in a dream, it means his death or the death of a relative, or it could mean experiencing poverty. As for a needy person, it means relief or an escape. Thunderbolt Thunderbolts in a dream are signs of punishment, illness or death. If a thunderbolt hits and burns something in the dream, it means false rumours, damages, financial losses, recession, or dumping of merchandise. A thunderbolt in a dream also means a warning for a sinner, the punishment for his crime, devastation, calamities, diseases, tornados, plagues, a blast, a major political shift, tyranny, decapitation, a bad death, incineration, burning people alive, or a robbery. Reciting Surah Nasr Allah will help its reader against his enemies. Perhaps its recitation is an indication of his death in the near future. For, it was specifically revealed to Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-alayhi-wasallam) to inform him about his death. A person said to Ibn Sirin (RA) that he had dreamed as if he were receiting Surah Nasr. He said to him “Make out your will. Your time has drawn near”. He asked : “Why?” he replied: “Because it was the last Surah revealed to Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-alayhi-wasallam)”. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Collapsing walls If a daughter or a sister or another woman live in that house, it means that the guest will seek her hand for marriage. If a hurricane destroys his entire house in a dream, it means that death will take locality in that place at the hands of a tyrant. If one sees himself demolishing an old house or edifice in a dream, it means evil. If a woman sees her walls caving in on her in a dream, it means the death of her husband. • Sodomizing a man: (1) Joy and alleviation from grief or trouble. (2) The two parties will do something wrong through ignorance.
• Sodomizing the sultan (ruler or chief): The dreamer will lose his money. The reverse is true.
• Sodomizing a stranger: (1) The dreamer will overspend. (2) The dreamer will render a just judgment.
• Sodomizing one’s father: The dreamer is an obedient and affectionate son; otherwise he could never have such a dream, according to Ibn Siren. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Pregnancy • A boy under the age of puberty being pregnant: A reference to his father.
• A pregnant woman: (1) Her wealth will increase, commensurate with the size of her belly. (2) She will persevere till she makes the money she wants, which will grow constantly. She will be proud of her achievements and highly dignified and praised. (3) Trouble, unhappiness, worries, and concealed matters.

Tallness (Height; Size) To see oneself taller than usual in a dream means increase in knowledge and wealth. If a man of authority sees that, it means expansion of his power. If he is a merchant, it means business prosperity. If one sees himself extremely tall and beyond the tallest human being in a dream, it means the nearing of his death, or it could mean his downfall. It is ominous for a tall person to see himself short in a dream, for it also denotes falling in rank, losing respect, or nearing one's death. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Disrobe If the person is sick in real life, it means that he will recover. If he is indebted, it means that he will repay his debts. If he is seized with fear, it means that he will regain his peace. Nakedness in a dream also means injustice. Stripping a dead person of his shroud means divorce, loss in business, repentance from sins, or it could mean guidance.
