Drill • Drilling a hole and penetrating a house through the wall: The dreamer desires a woman and will get to her by ruse.
• Drilling a hole somewhere in a city (excavating): The dreamer is looking for a wise man or a scholar.

Pear The pear tree symbolizes a foreigner who flatters his family or folk to obtain money.
• A sick person dreaming of eating pears: Will recover.
• A woman dreaming of having a basketful of pears: Will conceive and give birth to a boy.

Marrow In a dream, bon marrows represent hidden treasures, a library, ammunition or an inheritance. Bone marrows in a dream also mean hoarding money. Stair • A sick person climbing stairs till reaching the top: He will pass away. If at last he enters a room, his soul will go to Paradise. The reverse is also true.
• Standing on the ladder: The dreamer likes to overhear, in view of the Quranic verse: “Or have they any stairway (unto heaven) by means of which they overhear (decrees)? Elephant • Seeing a slaughtered elephant in a country: The ruler of that country or one of its celebrities will die.
• An elephant posing a menace to the dreamer or trying to get hold of him: Coming sickness.
• Falling under the elephant’s feet or being foiled by it: Will die, unless the elephant did not step on the dreamer or crush him, in which case he would just face hardships, then escape unharmed.

Sodomy (Also see Sex, Incest, and Necromancy.)
• Sodomizing a man: (1) Joy and alleviation from grief or trouble. (2) The two parties will do something wrong through ignorance.
• Sodomizing the sultan (ruler or chief): The dreamer will lose his money. The reverse is true.
• Sodomizing a stranger: (1) The dreamer will overspend. (2) The dreamer will render a just judgment.
• Sodomizing one’s father: The dreamer is an obedient and affectionate son; otherwise he could never have such a dream, according to Ibn Siren. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Disrobe If the person is sick in real life, it means that he will recover. If he is indebted, it means that he will repay his debts. If he is seized with fear, it means that he will regain his peace. Nakedness in a dream also means injustice. Stripping a dead person of his shroud means divorce, loss in business, repentance from sins, or it could mean guidance. Eclipse If a cloud covers the light of the sun in a dream, it means that a sickness will befall the leader of the country or the governor of the land. If one sees the sun moving above the clouds but cannot come from under it in a dream, it means his death. The sun in a dream also may represent a great scholar. Lung To trust Ibn Siren, the lung is where the spirit resides in the body. Therefore:
• Having healthy lungs means the dreamer will live long.
• The lungs being sick means life will be short.

Imam (arb. The person who leads prayers in a mosque; Guide; Leader; Ruler) If one sees himself building a prison in a dream, it means that he will meet a righteous man or an Imam who will guide him on the straight path. Loneliness (Aloneness; Isolation; Solitude) Loneliness in a dream means fame, artistry or attaining excellence in one's craft. If a ruler or a governor sees himself alone in a dream, it represents his impeachment from office. Finding oneself alone in a dream also means poverty, or separation from one's beloved. Fasting • Fasting during two consecutive months to expiate or atone: The dreamer will repent for a sin.
• Dreaming that the Ramadan fast is due after the month is over: The dreamer will get ill.
• Fasting voluntarily: The dreamer will not be sick during that year in view of the saying by the Holy Prophet: “Fast and you will recover.”

Thinning (Skin inflammation) If one sees his skin thinned or inflamed between his legs in a dream, it means that he may marry a rich woman who will give him her wealth. If one sees himself shedding his skin or skinning himself in a dream, it represents money he will part with, and if he is sick, it means his death. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Hermitage (Retreat; Sanctuary) A hermitage in a dream represents a spiritual retreat, abstinence, good character, seclusion, ascetic detachment, controlling one's desires and wants, divorcing one's wife, abandoning one's friends, or it could mean an illness. If a sick person sees himself in a hermitage in a dream, it may mean his death, or it could mean suppressing one's sexual desires. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Key • Holding the key to Paradise: (1) Will acquire knowledge and turn ascetic. (2) Will find a treasure. (3) Will make honest gains or inherit.
• Holding the keys of the Kabah (the Muslims holiest shrine, in Mecca (Makkah)): Will become the chamberlain of a great ruler or an imam (Muslim spiritual leader).
• A king or a senior official dreaming of keys: A reference to countries, provinces, reforms, or victories. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Nabeq Tree In any case, it symbolizes plenty of money, gold or silver but not coins. Some ancient interpreters said that it represented money that would come from or be earned in Iraq. Dreaming of the ruler eating nabeq means more power and influence. A woman once dreamed that a nabeq tree had fallen in her house and that she filled two baskets with its fruit. Sweat Sweating means harm. According to Abu Said Al-Waez:
• Wiping one’s sweat: Wishes will be fulfilled.
• A ruler dreaming of stinking perspiration from under the armpit: Will overspend and earn a bad reputation.
• A commoner dreaming of stinking perspiration: Will commit adultery. According to Ibn Siren, sweat means financial losses, especially if it flows on the ground. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Blacksmith To be brought before a blacksmith in a dream means an accident that will bring one before a person in authority for intercession. Otherwise, it could mean seeking the fellowship of a worthless person. If one sees a sick or a deceased person sitting with a blacksmith in a dream, it means that he is in hell, and particularly when his face is blackened from the smoke, or it could mean that he may be imprisoned. Marriage • Marrying an adulteress: Will yourself indulge in adultery. (Also see Adultery.)
• Marrying any kind of animal: Will marry a woman having similarities with such a beast. If the animal was consenting, the woman in question would go along in the husband’s direction, be it good or bad.

Angels If one becomes an angel in a dream, it means tat he will receive honor, power, overcome his adversities, dispel his distress and win his freedom, or it could mean that he will rise in station. If one sees the angels greeting him and shaking hands with him in a dream, it means that Allah Almighty will endow him with wisdom, clarity and insight.
