Medlar tree (Crab apple; Crataegus azarolus; Mespilus germanica) Eating a bitter tasting apple like fruit of the medlar tree or any of such varieties that are also used in making preserves, or eaten yellow, spoiled, or unripened in a dream means a sickness. The more yellowish is its color in the dream, the more pain and suffering such an sickness will bring. Eating a green medlar fruit in a dream represents no such danger. Eating the pages of the Holy Book in a dream means accepting bribes. If a layman eats the pages of the Holy Book, or few lines from some pages in a dream, it means that he earns his livelihood from reciting the Holy Quran or teaching it. Though, if a pregnant woman sees herself breast-feeding a child in a dream, it means that she will have a safe delivery. If he is used to have short hair and sees himself shaving his head in a dream, it means that he will pay a fine as an atonement. If one sees his hair shaved during the winter in a dream, it means difficulties, adversities, penalties, or a sickness. It is also said that imprisonment in a dream may mean that one's prayers are answered and that his difficulties and distress will be removed.
