Keeper of the gate (Personal guard; Prison guard) If a notable or a public figure sees his keepers of the gates, or his personal guards standing-up in a dream, it means that they are performing their duty correctly. If they are sitting in the dream, it means that they are failing their duties. The governor's keeper of the gate in a dream represents glad tidings. Usually he represents a notable person, or a great person who is sought for advice, whereby both great and little people depend on him for access. Building If a king, or a ruler sees himself building a mosque as an offering for Allah's pleasure in a dream, it means that he will rule his subjects with justice, command what is lawful and forbid what is unlawful. If he builds a school, it shows him to be a man of knowledge. If he builds a hospice in a dream, it means that he is an ascetic. If a sick person sees himself building a house in a dream, it means that he will recover from his illness and enjoy good health. Building Erecting a foundation for a building, then completing its structure in a dream means seeking knowledge, wisdom or leadership. Building a house in a different county, town or locality in a dream means a marriage with a woman from that neighbourhood. Building an edifice from ceramic in a dream means decorating oneself. If the building is from clay in the dream, it means lawful earnings. If one engraves pictures or forms thereon in the dream, it means acquiring knowledge, learning a new craft, a leading position in the government which involves partying, alcohol and mingling with what is unlawful. Building an edifice from plaster or backed bricks encrusted with pictures or forms in a dream means engaging in an unlawful or a deceitful act. Building If one sees his house bigger than it is in reality in a dream, it means expansion in one's material resources. If it grows beyond the normal norms in a dream, it means anxiety, or a delegation that hastens to enter that house without permission, announcing a calamity, or it could mean that a wedding will take place in that house. Building a house in a dream also means extending one's connections, strengthening one's relationship with his kin, friends, or if the person in question is a general in the army, or a leader, then it means building a strong army. Building The element of a good building in a dream represents love, affection, unity, progeny, prosperity, a garment of honor, and girls in one's family. A strong edifice means strength and firmness. It also means support, help and a long life. Raising a new edifice in a dream represents either personal or collective material benefits in this world. If one sees himself building an edifice in a dream, it means having intercourse with his spouse. If one builds a church, it defines him as Christian. If he builds a mosque, it defines him as Muslim. If a man of knowledge sees himself building a mosque as an offering to please Allah Almighty in a dream, it means that he will compile a study from which others will benefit or that people will seek his advice in religious matters or interpretations. Building On the other hand, demolishing one's house in a dream means disagreement, disintegration or separation of one's family, relatives, friends, associates or dissolution of one's army. If one sees himself working for some people to renovate an old building in a dream, it means correcting the norms of conduct in that community or reviving old traditions. For example if one sees himself reconstructing the house of Pharaoh in a dream, it means that he is reviving or re-establishing Pharaoh's system of government, or adopting its principals. Paradise • Seeing Paradise with one’s eyes: Worries will disappear and the dreamer will obtain whatever he desires.
• Seeing Paradise but refusing to enter it: The dreamer is a benefactor and a hard worker. Such a dream can be had only by the fair, never by the unjust.
• Seeing Paradise but being barred from entering it: The dreamer will not be able to perform hajj (pilgrimage), engage in Jihad (holy war) or expiate for some sin, despite his desire to do so.
• Seeing one of the gates of Paradise being closed or slammed in one’s face: One of the dreamer’s parents will die. If two gates are closed, both parents will pass away. In case all gates are closed, this means that the dreamer’s parents are displeased with him. Conversely, if he enters it from any gate, the dreamer is blessed by his parents.
• Entering Paradise: (1) The dreamer will be happy and secure on earth and in the Hereafter. (2) Desires will be fulfilled after hardships, because the way to Paradise, it is believed, is fraught with dangers and evil things. Paradise If one sees that one of the gates of paradise is closed in the dream, it means that one of his parents will pass away. If two of its gates are closed in the dream, it means that he will lose his parents. If all of its doors are locked in the dream, it means that his parents are displeased with him. If he enters paradise from whichever gate he pleases in the dream, it means that both of his parents are pleased with him. If one is let into paradise in a dream, it represents his death. It is also interpreted to mean that he will repent for his sins at the hands of a spiritual guide or a wise sheikh who will lead him into paradise. Lane (Avenue; City gates; Path; Road; Trail) Seeing a lane in a dream is like seeing the city's gates. If it is closed during the daylight time in the dream, it means that an accident will take place inside the city or at the end of the lane, and that such an accident will necessitate the closing of its gates, or the blocking of the lane. Sky • Seeing numerous gates of Heaven: A reference to usury.
• Some flies, bees, birds, et cetera, coming from the gates of Heaven: Diluvial rain, in view of the Quranic verse: “Then opened We the gates of Heaven with pouring water.” (“Al-Qamar” [The Moon], verse 11.)
• Being close to the sky: The dreamer is close to God or, if his ambitions are not so great, to his superior and his prayers will be heard.

House • An iron house: Its owner will have a lot of prestige and live long.
• A house made of gold: Fire will break out there.
• Coming out angry from one’s house: Will go to jail in view of a verse in the Holy Quran: “And [mention] Dhun-Nun,30 when he went off in anger and deemed that We had no power over him, but he cried out in the darkness, saying: There is no God save Thee. Be Thou glorified! Lo! I have been a wrongdoer.” (“Al-Anbiya“ [The Prophets], verse 87.)
• Entering the neighbour's house: Will become his confidant or, if the dreamer is immoral, he will betray the neighbour with his wife and in his livelihood.
• A bachelor building a house: Will marry a high-class woman.
• Seeing a house from afar: Life will give the dreamer what he desires, but far away or after a long time.
• Entering one’s house made of concrete or clay and situated amidst other buildings: Will make an honest living.

Carpenter A carpenter in a dream represents a teacher or an educator. Seeing a carpenter in a dream also means curbing off the intentions of hypocrites and obliging them to comply with what is correct. Constructing a canoe in a dream means travels. Building a water-wheel in a dream means profits from real estate, building a mill in a dream means disputes. Fixing a door latch in a dream means marriage or children. Stonemasonry (Cutting stones; Stone carving; Sculpturing) Building a structure in a dream from masonry rather than baked brick represents elevation of one's status, success, or stretching one's hopes. It also could denote concerns about protecting one's wife, adopting what is beneficial, conducting scientific research, or preserving one's heritage. Building the base, the foundation, or the pillars from uncut stones rather than marble in a dream connotes humiliation and poverty. Masjid (arb. Allah's House; Mosque; Place of worship) In Arabic, the word Masjid means a place of prostration, while the word Jami means a place of gathering. A Masjid or a mosque in a dream represents a scholar and its gates represent men of knowledge and the guardians, or the attendants of Allah's House. Building a Masjid in a dream means emulating the traditions of Allah's Prophet, Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam, fostering the unity of one's family, or becoming a judge, should one qualify for such an office. A Masjid filled with people in a dream represents a gnostic, a man of knowledge and wisdom, or a preacher who invites people to his house, advises them, brings their hearts together, teaches them the precepts of their religion and explains the wisdom behind the divine revelations. Seeing a Masjid being demolished in a dream means that such a gnostic, or religious scholar and devout believer will die in that locality.
