Thorns in a dream also represent indebtedness, signing a loan, temptation, degeneration of moral standards, or social unrest. If a thorn pierces someone in a dream, it means that he will be tried with temptations, or that he will be hurt from something he hates.

Walking on thorns in a dream means delaying or postponing payment of one's debts upon maturity. Thorns symbolize an ignorant and difficult Bedouin, an intrigue, or a debt. In general, they mean a harsh person.

• If the tree seen in the dream is ugly and full of thorns or black and filthy, like the Zachum oil tree or the thorn tree, he is being tortured in Hell.

• A sick man sitting on top of or owning a tree: His fate will depend on the condition of the tree as witnessed in the dream.

Certain interpreters believe that the rose represents a woman who quits, a child who dies, a trade that does not last, or a passing joy, in view of the flower’s ephemeral nature.
Others think that all aromatic plants—numerous or few—allude to worries and sorrow. To them, flowers mean crying, except for those flowers that the dreamer sees in their normal place but does not touch, in which case they would refer to a new birth, et cetera. In the event of their being picked and their trees dying, it means that there will be crying and weeping.
