Seeing “adds”
in your dream

• Looking at a jewel or a pearl that does not gleam or glitter or any kind of glass that does not shine: Beware of strangling disputes and hardships because, says Ibn
Siren, the hot, running blood  (nafs) in the body is like the refraction of light in glass and jewelry. The dreamer should also take care not to lose his mind, because the mind is a flat jewel, adds Ibn
Siren.

If Allah Almighty names someone in his dream with his birth name, then adds another title to it, it means rising in station and rank. If one sees Allah Almighty angry with him in a dream, it means that his parents are displeased with him. This description includes seeing oneself falling from the skies or from the top of a mountain. If a devoted servant sees Allah Almighty kissing him in a dream, it applies to his growing devotion and reward. Fearing Allah Almighty in a dream reflects eminence, peacefulness, quiescence, wealth of being and disregard for material needs. • Taking a gold ring from the Lord: Bad omen. Similarly bad are rings made of iron, the latter being the ornament of those who reside in Hell, and rings made of copper whose name in Arabic is nahhas, from nahs, meaning “bad luck” or “a jinx.” One more reason, adds Ibn
Siren, is that copper is the metal used in manufacturing the rings of the jinn.

• Taking a silver ring from the Holy Prophet or from a religious scholar: The dreamer will acquire learning. In case the ring was made of silver, iron, or copper, the dream would have a very negative interpretation.

• Wearing a ring: Renewal of what the ring refers to, depending on its alloy or composition.

• Wearing a silver ring: Nothing will stand in the dreamer’s way.
