Seeing “people drinking”
in your dream

In a dream, a river represents a noble and a great person. Walking into a river in a dream means befriending or encountering such a person. Drinking from a river in a dream means trials, but if the water is clear, it means enjoying prosperity and a happy life. Jumping from one bank of a river to the other in a dream means escaping from adversities, dispelling distress or anguish, and it means winning victory over one's enemy. In a dream, a river also denotes travels. Swimming in a river in a dream means working in the government. If the river runs through the streets and markets, and if one sees people bathing in it or taking their ritual ablution in it in one way or another it in a dream, such a river then represents the justice of a ruler. If the river floods the streets, or runs through people's homes and damages their properties and personal belongings in the dream, then the river represents an unjust ruler, or it could represent an invading army. If a river flows from one's house and causes no harm to anyone in a dream, it represents one's good intentions or deeds.

Drinking wine in a dream means committing a major sin, or it could mean becoming wealthy. It also could imply verbal abuse, temptation, or enmity. A river of wine in a dream means adversities. Wine in a dream also represents marriage consent, or dismissal from one's job. Mixing wine with water in a dream means mixing legal and illegal money, or it could represent earnings from a business partnership with a woman. Pressing grapes to make wine in a dream means serving someone in authority whose employment allows one to achieve noticeable successes in life. If one is invited to a drinking party where he finds platters of fruit and pitchers of wine in the dream, it represents his martyrdom.

Climbing a mountain, enjoying its vegetations and drinking from its fresh and sweet water in a dream means sheltering one's chastity in the company of one's wife. (Also see Khimar; Veil)

If one sees himself drinking cold refreshing water from the regular water tab in a dream, it means comfort and joy. (Also see Drink)

• The Euphrates having dried up: The ruler will die, his money will go, or his prime minister will be slandered.

• Bear milk: Harm and a quick-coming catastrophe.

• Drinking snake milk:  (1) Will do something that will please God. 
(2) Relief and escape from harm.
In general, curdled milk is a bad omen, but it could also herald a trip.
Curdled milk whose water has been drained means that the dreamer will listen to women.
Sour milk or yogurt means that benefits will be reaped, but not without trouble and painful events. Some dream interpreters consider it dirty money. It could also mean that the dreamer is dealing with bankrupt people, because its cream has been removed from it, or he might be expecting a nice gesture from evil persons.
The whey or watery part of milk is an overwhelming debt, in view of its sour taste.

• One Aqiq stone: (1) Return of an absent one. (2) Recovery of a sick person.
(3) The freeing of a prisoner. (4) More faith and the abiding by the Holy Prophet’s Tradition.

• One bead: A friend who has nobody to support him.

• Many beads: Illicit gains.

• Dreaming of Aqiq and of doing, at the same time, something prohibited, such as slaughtering a pig or presenting people with pork or dead meat while aware of the sinful character of such an act: The dreamer is ungrateful to his parents and to God, in view of the resemblance of the word Aqiq to oqooq, which in Arabic conveys that meaning of ingratitude.

• Being given Aqiq: Will follow the example of the donor. Losing it means the reverse. Owning plenty of
aqiq: Money and general welfare, as much as was seen.

• Drinking from a container made of aqiq: Will have a child who will become honest and prestigious and will never be short of money.

All this is in the light of this Quranic verse wherein He commands Ayyoob (AS) : Strike with you foot. This spring of water is for bathing, cooling and drinking. And We granted him his family and doubled their number as a special grace from ourselves and a commemoration for all who have understanding.

Likewise, matters will be more serious if the water is foul, brackish or muddy. Drinking such water suggests he will be afflicted with profound grief proportionate to the amount of water he drinks.

A man told Imam Ibn Sirin: "I saw myself drinking from a pitcher with two heads in a dream." Ibn Sirin replied: "You have a wife, and you are trying to tempt her sister to sin with you, so fear God." The man answered: "You spoke the truth. Bear witness that I repent from my doing."

The God of the Underworld. See Satan POISON. Dreaming of drinking poison, swelling, and seeing the pus or
suppuration means the dreamer will have as much money as there was matter. If there was no pus, the same dream would mean worries and misery.
Deadly poisons symbolize death.

Intoxication without drinking wine suggest something unfavourable, for Allah Ta'ala says: you shall see mankind as drunk, yet they are not drunk: but (the truth is that) the punishment of Allah is dreadful.

Dreaming of drinking from the Tigris River:  (1) Will become a minister, if eligible. 
(2) Will receive money from a minister.

• Accompanying the jinn refers to the following: (1) The dreamer is or will be close to the people versed in the Scriptures 
(as, in Arabic, “Sifr,” whose plural is “Asfar,” means the Scriptures) or those who know the secrets.
(2) Will travel by land or by sea  (as, in Arabic, safar, which is very close to sifr, means “travel”).
(3) Kidnapping. (4) Theft. (5) Adultery. (6) Drinking fermented juice 
(wine). (7) Wine shops. (8) Singing. (9) The flute.  (10) Heretic places. 
(11) Churches or synagogues.  (12) Sorcerers.  (13) Imagination and illusions.
The jinn's who preach virtue, deter from vice, and bring good tidings represent the Muslims; the rest allude to atheists.

• Marrying a jinn:  (1) Will marry a debauched and sexually uncontrollable woman, a nymphomaniac. 
(2) Will buy a sick animal.  (3) Will rule, govern, own something, or be highly promoted, if eligible for that.

(Soaking; Steeping) Drinking an infusion of dried fruits as a medicine in a dream means taking a medicine, using a charm, or pursuing the path of knowledge, reading the Quran, or walking on the straight path.

  (Also see Anus.) Dreaming of drinking with one’s rectum instead of the mouth means: 
(1) The dreamer is accused of evil deeds.  (2) The dreamer will be given an injection.

Washing one's dirt with hot water in a dream means benefits. Drinking hot water from the boiler in a dream means sickness, stress, depression, or a scare by evil spirits. (Also see Bathhouse; Drink; Hot)

• Bringing a zebra to your house as prey to eat: Welfare and booty.

• Eating zebra meat or drinking its milk: Will acquire plenty of slaves or servants through an honest agent.

• Riding on a swine: Will have power and influence and triumph over enemies.

• Walking like a swine: Will have a dear child.

• Pork meat—cooked or grilled: Illicit money.

• Finding a sow in one’s bed: Will make love to an atheist.

• A swine drinking from the same gold chalice as the dreamer: A transvestite is hiding among the dreamer’s women.
