Seeing “mountain side”
in your dream

If a person sees himself climbing a mountain it means he will attain high positions.

If someone sees himself standing on top of a mountain, it means he will overpower an-other person with a similar rank or position such as his.

Climbing a mountain, enjoying its vegetations and drinking from its fresh and sweet water in a dream means sheltering one's chastity in the company of one's wife. (Also see Khimar; Veil)

If a person sees himself breaking into the mountain (just as a thief breaks into a house) or digging into the mountain, it means he is guilty of deceiving someone.

If a person sees himself conquering or defeating a mountain (as in a fight), it means he will commit murder.

If someone sees himself climbing a mountain without faltering, it is a hint that his desire to acquire a particular thing will be fulfilled-but after much difficulty and hardship.

(Mountain pass; Mountain trails) In a dream, deep valleys or canyons represent deception, betrayal, perfidy and trickery. Seeing a mountain pass in a dream also could signify overcoming adversities or relief from difficulties. (Also see Aqiq canyon)

If one sees himself climbing a mountain, then the mountain in a dream is interpreted as one's goal. Thus, one's dream may mean attaining one's goal as far as he reaches in his climb. In dream interpretation, any ascent of a mountain, a trail, a hill, an elevation or even climbing a roof means attaining one's goal or satisfying one's needs. To see oneself climbing flat on his back in a dream then means uncalled for, or unnecessary hardship. (Also see Air; Ascent; Climbing a mountain; Flying)

Abu Qatada reported Allah's Messenger (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) as saying:
A good vision is from Allah and a bad dream (hulm) is from the satan; so if one of you sees anything (in a dream which he dislikes, he should spit on his left side thrice and seek refuge with Allah from its evil, and then it will never harm him. Abu Salama said: I used to see dreams weighing more heavily upon me than a mountain; but since I heard this hadith I don't care for it (its burden). (Muslim)

(A mountain short-winged and a stout-bodied bird; Mountain quail; Partridge; Woman) In a dream, a mountain quail represents a thief, a confidant, or a pimp who secretly conducts his business of soliciting clients for his prostitutes. However, a quail in a dream also represents a blessed food, an answer to one's prayers, repelling a calamity, or overcoming an adversity.

If the stars and the planets have no light in the dream, then they mean a calamity. In a dream, seeing a sun and a moon on one's right side and the same on his left side, above him, in front of him and behind him means a calamity and a defeat that will force one to retreat or to escape but to no avail. Omar asked: "When you became a star in the dream, did you fight on the side of the sun or that of the moon?" The man replied: "I fought on the side of the moon." Omar replied: "Go away, and do not work for me." Later on, the man joined the army of Yaz'id in Syria and died fighting the caliphate during the battle of Siffin.

In a dream, butcher's chopping block represents a hypocrite who interferes in people's business and takes sides in their arguments.

If it appears on one's left side in the dream, then it means prosperity and a good harvest. As for poor people, seeing a rainbow on one's right side also means richness, while for a rich person it means short lived difficulties. A rainbow in a dream also represents wonders, or a military coup. If thunder accompanies the rainbow in the dream, then it means war.

• Flying from one rooftop to another: Will change wives.

• Hovering over houses and streets: Turbulence, but the dreamer will not be moved.

• Flying from one land to another: Dignity and great satisfaction.

• A prominent personality flying over a mountain: Will be given a province.

• A leader or a power-monger dreaming of flying: Will prevail. If he falls on anything, he will own it.

• An ordinary or a submissive person dreaming of flying over a mountain: 
(1) Will be very ill and approach death.  (2) Will commit a sin.

If on the other side of the bridge one ends in a fertile farm, luscious fields, or meets with an old woman in his dream, it means money, benefits and prosperity. If the other side of the bridge leads to a mosque in the dream, it means that one will achieve his goal, fulfill his intention or perform a pilgrimage to Allah's House in Mecca. If one becomes a bridge in a dream, it means that he will acquire extensive powers or becomes an inspiration to others, or that people will come to need his authority and help. Crossing a wooden bridge in a dream means meeting with a group of hypocrites. (Also see Bridge)

• Grilled poultry: Money obtained from a woman without treachery or wickedness. But if the meat was not well done, the dreamer will speak ill of her in her absence and be unfair.

• Any poultry, be it grilled or fried: Honest but hard gains.

• Dreaming of something which the dreamer knows is burnt in real life: Benefits through injustice.

• A grilled flank: Symbolizes women  (because Eve is said to have been created from Adam’s rib). It follows that the side stretching from below the head to half the body is a reference to girls and female slaves. The lower part is an allusion to boys.

• Eating a grilled side: Burdens, worries, and sorrow.
