Seeing “drowning ship”
in your dream

• Seeing Nuh on a ship: The ship will reach the shore safely.

• A woman dreaming of Nuh: She will rebel against her husband and obey her close relatives and other folk.

(Call; Cry; Human call; Outcry; Shout; Scream) Shouting at a gathering of people in a dream means winning the title of a statesman, authority and power in an election, or presiding over people. If one sees himself shouting alone in a dream, it means that he will lose his power and his words will have impact. Shouting in a dream also denotes social turmoil, agitation caused by war, an earthquake, the drowning of a ship, or the spread of a new disease that will force people to turn to Allah Almighty for help. In a dream, the beams of a ship represent religious people, faith, holding fast to one's faith, or it could mean complications. (See Light; Ship)

• Being in a ship at the bottom of the sea: The dreamer will be in the hands of the people he fears most, and his eventual death will come as a relief for him.

• A ship being shattered and seeing its wreck and planks floating here and there: A tragedy will befall those whom the dreamer cherishes most.
Holding an oar: The dreamer will acquire knowledge or obtain money from a thorny individual.

• Holding the ship’s ropes: The dreamer is religious and will befriend pious and virtuous persons in view of the Quranic verse: “And hold fast, all of you together, to the cable of Allah …”

(Paddles) Oars in a dream represent the movement of a ship, or they could mean having a secret affair. Oars in a dream also mean reaching safety, or finding a helping friend. (Also see Boat; Ship)

Likewise, the ship represents prison, especially when it stands still, in view of the story of the prophet Yunus 
(Jonas), who was locked like a prisoner in the stomach of a whale after his ship was wrecked. Other interpretations include knowledge that saves the dreamer from ignorance. Witness the story of Moses, who boarded a vessel with a wise man called Al-Khidr on a very instructive journey.

Hatred is a bad dream, because it is the reverse of love and peace, which are blessings from God, and the reverse of blessings is hard ships. The reasoning is based on a verse in the Holy Quran: “… and remember Allah’s
favour unto you: how you were enemies and He made friendship between your hearts so that ye became as brothers by His grace” 
(“Al-Imran” [The family of Imran], verse 103.)

(Captain; Manager; Ship) In a dream, the sails of a ship represent its captain, or they could represent a good manager, or they could mean gaining power. If one sees sails being raised to honor him in a dream, it means that he will attain power, leadership, honor and exaltation. If a ruler or a general of an army sees such a dream, it means that he will remain strong and secured from enemy attacks.

If a traveller sees a sauce pan in his dream, it may mean drowning. A sauce pan in a dream also represents the house manager, the butler, the governor, the judge, the superintendent, the tax collector, or the internal revenues administrator.

Shout, cry, and scream are homonyms in Arabic.

• Shouting at people: Will become influential or govern a state.

• A cry in the wilderness: The dreamer’s tyranny will die out, and he will lose strength.

• Screaming: A calamity is ahead; because people scream only when they have severe pain from a disease or a plague of some sort or when they are in distress, like somebody drowning, hit by a sword, or buried under rubble.

• Cows assembled in a place: Disturbances or riots.

• An identified number of cows entering a city, following each other: Years commensurate with the size of the cows and in the same order. If they entered a coastal city together or at random similar ships will arrive. Otherwise, they would be a series of intrigues very much alike, as the cows faces resemble each other. Yellow or red cows would automatically mean disease and epidemics.

• Cows of different colours with terrible, dreadful horns and fire or smoke coming out of their mouths or noses: Coming enemy soldiers or some kind of assault.

• A pregnant cow: A hopefully fertile year or the dreamer’s wife will become pregnant.
