Seeing “collecting shells”
in your dream

They symbolise wealth of little or no benefit at all. At times they symbolise knowledge of no benefit, if they are few, it many sumbolise women and servants.

(Husk; Peel; Rind; Shuck; Skin) Almond, walnuts or the like nutshell in a dream signify clothing or sustenance. If a pregnant woman sees nutshells in her dream, they mean a miscarriage. A shell or a husk in a dream represents hypocrisy, affectation, ostentatiousness and a swelled head. (Also see Skin)

Eating the shell or white of the eggs but not the yolk means he will usurp wealth belonging to the deceased or a slain person. It could also mean that he will dig up graves for the purpose of stealing the shroud (kafn) of the dead people.

Collecting fire which neither burns nor gives off light symbolizes knowledge that is futile and worthless.

Collection or carrying ashes in the dream means that the person doing so is presently engaged in acquiring futile and worthless knowledge.

Drilling a hole in a pearl in a dream also means having sexual intercourse with a blood relation. Swallowing a pearl in a dream means hiding a testimony. Chewing on pearls in a dream means backbiting people. Vomiting pearls in a dream means scheming against people and deceiving them. Throwing a pearl into a river in a dream means helping people. Extracting a pearl from its shell, then throwing the pearl and keeping the shell in a dream means that one is involved in body snatching and in desecrating the graves. Opening a closet with a key and pulling out stored pearls from inside it in a dream means asking a question from a scholar.

• A poor person collecting and eating truffles and the like: Will become rich.

• A rich person collecting and eating such plants: Will get richer.

• An ascetic person unearthing and eating truffles: Will come back to the pleasures of the flesh.

• Moving from one truffle field to another: Will undertake pleasure trips or move from one market to another or from one trade to another.

Hazelnuts symbolize:  (1) An alien and heavy but extremely generous person who reconciles people. 
(2) Money earned the hard way.  (3) Like anything that has dry shells, an allusion to wrath and sorrow.

Witnessing affectation in a dream is a sign of committing a forbidden act or an evil act in wakefulness. (Also see Shell)

Collecting pebbles for pelting from a marketplace, a street, under the trees, or in a farmland in a dream means receiving financial benefits. Collecting pebbles at the foot of a tree in a dream means receiving a gift from a person in authority, or profits from the sea, learning at the hand of a good teacher, a gift from a wealthy wife, or they could mean the birth of a son if one does not have a son. Nacre symbolizes the servant, especially an old woman serving ladies. It also represents the slave or simply a girl.
Dreaming of owning or being given mother-of-pearl means one will get a servant. If such a shell is broken, the servant will die. If it is just lost, the servant will flee or resign.

Dreaming the tonsils have swelled till they almost obstructed the pharnyx or throat means the dreamer has an obsession for collecting money and is niggardly even with himself and his life will soon be over.

For medical doctors, gifted persons, and poultry farmers, eggs mean welfare. For the rest, few eggs mean benefits; many eggs means deep worries. Big eggs refer to boys and small ones to girls. For bachelors, eggs often symbolize marriage. For married people, eggs are the forerunners of childbirth. Eggs also represent hidden things.

• Eggs in a container: Slave or maiden girls, in view of the Quranic expression “[Pure] as they were hidden eggs [of the ostrich].”

• The dreamer’s hen having laid an egg: Will be blessed with a male child.

• Cooked eggs without shells: Blessed gifts and benefits.

• Eating raw eggs:  (1) Will accept dirty money.  (2) Will be plagued by many worries. 
(3) Will commit a sin.

An almond tree in a dream also represents one who is stingy with people, though generous with his wife and children. Eating sweet almond in a dream also means tasting the sweetness of one's faith. Bitter almond in a dream means truth. Eating almond in a dream means money and a good health. An almond tree also represents a stranger. Seeing oneself showered with almond shells in a dream means receiving a new garment. Dry almond in a dream means sorrow, rage and clamor. Eating a leaf from an almond tree in a dream means receiving money from someone in authority and enjoying the gift.

• Collecting donkey dung or droppings: Wealth will increase.

• Acquiring, tying up, or introducing a donkey in one’s house: God will shower His blessings upon the dreamer and save him from all sorts of trouble, especially if he is a respectable person.

• Falling from the back of a donkey you own: Will become poor.

• Collecting a bunch of legumes from one’s garden or backyard: Evil and rupture on the part of a group of female relatives.

• A vegetable plant growing in arid land or in a place in which such herbs cannot possibly grow, especially if it is in a house or a mosque: An allusion to a man. Seen inside a house, a vegetable means that such a man will marry someone from the family.
