Examples of the Nature and Characteristics of Things Dream Explanation — A date tree. This may be interpreted as total goodness and virtue since the date tree is regarded as a tree constituting total goodness as is known from the hadeeth. Lost Dream Explanation — (Getting lost) If a man of knowledge sees himself lost in a dream, it means that he will benefit people with his knowledge, that his teachings will spread widely and that he will be remembered for a long time after he dies. Getting lost in a dream also means bad luck. If one loses a garment or a house in a dream, it means extra expenses, repairs, or taxes he will pay for his property. Grave Dream Explanation — o Roaming about amid open graves: Will enter the homes of heretics or visit the jails.
o Going to a grave and digging the earth with one's nails or trying to unearth the dead: Will probe the life of the dead dwelling in that grave to follow his pattern.
o Finding a dead person alive in his grave: Will become wise and pious and achieve orderly gains.
o Going to a graveyard to unearth the dead and finding some of them alive and others not: Terrible deaths will occur in that spot or country.

Bead Dream Explanation — (Also see Aqiq.) Beads symbolize a woman, a servant, a girl or a slave, money, politeness, shrewdness, procreation, and boys.
o Finding beads: (1) Money and gifts from God, as many gifts as beads. (2) A beneficial trip.
o Finding white beads: Will get a good servant who fears the wrath of God.
o Finding green beads: Will have a pious servant.
o Finding black beads: Will obtain the services of a nonreligious, corrupt, and unkind servant.

Bleeding nose Dream Explanation — Thus, feeling bad about it or weak from it means poverty. Gilder Dream Explanation — (Gold leaf) In a dream, a gilder represents a decorator, someone who makes things attractive and pleasant or someone who coats things with sugar. In general, a gilder in a dream represents someone who is truthful in his words and actions. If a gilder overlays gold leaf over the cover of a book in a dream, it means that he is lying, falsifying things, innovating and that he is a heedless person who loses his money in loathsome entertainments, corruption, or it could mean that he works for a religious institution. Stone, Black Dream Explanation — (Also see Kabah.)
o Touching the Black Stone at one of the corners of the Kabah (the Muslims holiest shrine at the Haram Mosque in Mecca (Makkah)): The dreamer will take his lead from an imam (Muslim spiritual leader) from among the people of Hijaz.
o Removing the Black Stone from the Kabah and taking it for oneself: The dreamer will come out with a heresy.
